This is my person opinion, but this sniper sucks!

I pulled it in a super-specter pack today and got excited because I love sniper rifles. But I was dissapointed to see that compared to my Widow II, even though it was supposed to do more damage, a shot anyware but the head on a Cannibal put it to about 1/2 health. My Widow makes it dead or nearly dead. It just doesn't do as much damage, easy to miss with, and unlike the widow it takes time to travel.

And in the one match I used it in, it seemed to dip down once it was fired. Made aiming a PAIN. I consider myself a pretty good sniper, but I hated that thing. I was terrible with it.

Thoughts?

It's not particularly bad, it probably doesn't suit your playstyle. The Kishock is actually really powerful, but you have to charge it up for maximum effect. One big plus to the Kishock over the Widow is that it completely ignores shield gating. Otherwise, bullet drop, projectile velocity, and the fact that you have to charge it up to reach its potential damage makes it a difficult weapon to master.

The KHS is actually my favorite SR in the game. Come on, what other gun sends enemies flying all over the place when you hit them?

For some reason I enjoy all of the charge up guns. I don't why but I find them a joy to use.

It is quite fun on an Infiltrator, you can headshot OSOK just about anything outside of the boss mobs.

I test it on Gold it doesn't do much damage even if you mod it for max damage all it can do is hit and leave a bleeding effect that can only do less.Bronze and Sliver It does alright you can knockback a enemy.

Once you get used to it, it is actually pretty neat. Reloading time is not that long and charging can do a lot of extra damage. The fun part about it is that the harpoon causes bleading, not that it causes an instant kill. So even if you don't kill your enemy at once, it may still die. It's also not that heavy and can be used quite effectively against Guardians. Especially when combined with a power, you make one kill after the other. Power, Kishock, kill, on to the next target. I also use it as the standard gun on my Batarian Soldier. Inferno grenades against groups of enemies or heavies, Kishock to kill Guardians or small fry and to whittle down the Big Bads, ballistic blades or M4-Shurikan X in a pinch. Works like a charm. Aiming at long range takes some getting used to, because you're basically firing arrows, on a ballistic trajectory.

Oh yeah, sending your enemies tumbling is also a lot of fun, forgot about that! :)

Just imagine you are a Deep Sea Fisherman and the Reapers are really just really really exotic fish from the Marianis Trench.

One downside to it IMO, is that it seems to take the ammunition rounds a long time to reach the target.

It's probably one of the most powerful weapons in the game. Ignore shield gating and annhilates armor unlike any other weapon in the game...on and it reloads super fast and isn't very heavy. It's pretty amazing, you just have to learn how to use it, it has its own play style.

The one and only use I've found for this weapon is as a melee krogan... since it doesn't penalize you for no-scoping, just run around with it charged, shoot at close range, and finish off whatever was around the thing you just spear gunned...

I think it should have been more like the Javelin with a charge function.

They're really telling me that the Mass Effect universe doesn't have technology to propel a two foot harpoon in a straight line, while today's technology manages to launch grenades just like bullets? Seriously?

Don't forget that smgs and hand guns weight a lot. Even the biggest hand gun doesn't weight as much as some of these weapons.

Also you would think human soldiers and all other soldiers in the game would have more health then anyone.  But no. They have the same as there counter parts.

I have question.

Why is Inscisor sinper so F**cked up? the 3 round burst kills the accuracy, same for Raptor, instead of sinper rile it could've been a assoult rifle or Heavypunder, same for Inscisor.

It's a Graal Spike Thrower with a weak scope. If you're on a map with long-range sniping, even an expert is going to have a hard time using it well. It makes a great shotgun/midrange sniping hybrid.

Answer:

Because its a fundementally flawed gun. It's rate of fire during a burst is too low - byt the time the last round is on its way, your crosshair is aiming at the sky.
