confused about Fenris romance..

I just beat DA2 for the first time, and I romanced Fenris. I didn't flirt with anyone else, I did all his quests and gave him the two gifts, and by the end had about 90% friendship (we started out as rivals). I got the romance scene in Act 2 and he returned to my party at the end, but for some reason in Act 3 nothing romantic happened with him. When is the scene where you reunite after he dumps you supposed to happen? I read through a few guides trying not to read too many spoilers, but none of them mentioned how to trigger that scene. Did I do something wrong? HALP!

Hmmm When Act 3 begins you were supposed to go speak to him in his house, and that conversation will trigger "Alone," his final personal quest.

Thanks. I completed Alone, but I think maybe I need 100% friendship to trigger the scene after doing that quest..?

That is correct. You need either 100% firendship or 100% rivalry for his second questioning beliefs quest to trigger. When you do reach the maximum relationship score, you will get the chance to reunite. It doesn´t matter if you need a bit more time after Alone to get his friendship to max. Pretty late in act 3 you can find his second gift, which will probably be enough to complete your relationship with him.

No matter how hard I try, I've never been about to get Fenris in the sack. I swear he is the hardest romance option I've ever experienced LOL.

I'll try going back a bit and raising his friendship level. I was so close to 100%. Yeah the Fenris romance is frustrating haha. I got close to the final battle thinking there was going to be the usual pre-finale love scene that Bioware likes to do, but nothing..

Maybe you aren't supposed to flirt with, or sleep with anyone else? Kinda like Seb's romance?

That too, yes. Especially coming near to Isabela can be dangerous. But after the love scene in act 2 with Fenris, you should not move on to somebody else, because then you have overridden Fenris' romance.

His second gift should definately be enough (if you are close already) to max his Friendship. Once that happens, you should get his Questioning Beliefs, and then the romance should rekindle. And yes, if you get that, you will get something extra before the final battles. Let us know if you are having problems finding the sword. Good luck, and have fun!

Thanks everyone! I didn't have enough friendship points even after giving the second gift, so I took him on Merrill's final quest and chastised her to get some approval points from Fenris. Then I successfully got his Questioning Beliefs quest and the second romance scene. I was hoping for something a little more substantial, but I still think Fenris is the best!
