I just can't think of any reason why Bioware thought it would be a good idea. They could have used that development time to make a decent ending or model Tali's face in-game instead.

I don't get it either, the game had Emily Wong and that Parisini El Gilani (I'm sure I'm spelling that wrong). They could have filled Chobot's role easily. This seemed like a blatant shoutout to their pals at IGN, rather than anything integral to the story.

Khalisah Al-Jilani. Parasini is a different character, the Internal Affairs agent for Noveria.

I would actually take Al-Jilani along. How interesting would it be to get a glimpse of the real person behind the b****y reporter mask? I actually pitied her a bit after her Paragon'd conversation in ME3.

you're just mad you aren't in the game. You don't need to ACT to pay a reporter, there's no tones you need to deliver the news. I study journalism and ther's nothing wrong with her voicce work. she's supposed to remain neutral when delivering the news and when Allers does need to be emotional when talking about Bekenstien Chobot is emotional.

Yes because I clearly stated that I was jealous of her for being in the game didn't I? Look, you're clearly not very smart for a student of journalism so i'm going to make this simple for you: my critisism isn't regarding her voice acting during the in-game interviews. My critisism is that her voice acting during the entire game is terrible, and that scene about Bekenstein was a laughable attempt at faking emotion.
Well that and the fact that Bioware thought it would be a great idea to kill off a well-liked character and replace her with a reporter from IGN that likes to lick PSPs.

yeah her voice acting sucks but she's such a minor character who if you like you can refuse to let onto your ship. People act like it's the 2nd worst thing in the game.

I like how you didn't try to answer the questions in the original post and instead, just explained why you don't know why Chobot is hated.
You got the wrong impression I think, I don't hate her I just think it gives the wrong impression when you give a part in your videogame to a reporter from a game review company.

Nerd raging about the ending aside, because I have just about had it with these mother fudgin' complainers on this muther fudgin' BSN... I, too, despised Allers. I dragged her along on my first journey and almost punched her in the face when she hit on my Shepard. Get the hell out of the my captain's quarters.

I would much rather have taken Khalisah al-Jilani, after actually being compassionate and understanding toward her aggressiveness.

Allers makes no sense, but I also won't sit here and play conspiracy theory. Good day.
