People have this direct correlation of Chobot/Allers resources would have went into Tali.

I don't think that's true at all.  The resources would have been spent on a different "war reporter."  Even using Emily Wong would still have tied up resources to update her character for ME3, which means the resources STILL wouldn't have went towards Tali.  Even someone who DID have an updated character (like al-Jilani) would have needed expanded programming, which AGAIN means resources NOT going to Tali.

It's fine to hate Allers and her voice actor, I suppose, because you think it was poorly done or is unethical, but I don't think its accurate to blame the character (and especially the voice actor) for Tali getting a hastily slapped together face.  Blame Bioware's (lack of) proper priorities in that case.

He's simply stating a fact.

She is soooo weak an actor that it hurts... and an annoying nerd phenomenon. It was an unnecessary gesture of EA towards IGN... by this they pretty much bought their bestest score for ME3. Pretty disgusting if you ask me, especially that we had so much better characters in the story we don't meet at all in the 3rd installment. A shame really. Bioware totally sold out: judging by the quality of DA2 and ME3 and the untasteful PR and marketing methods.

Most don't. The fact that she was killed off, so Bioware could bribe IGN is was makes people angry. It'd be the same if they killed off Dr Michele on Twitter, and gave you the option of recruiting the director of Gamespot to be your head Dr on the Normandy.

IGN did good to replace her with Naomi Kyle, who's more attractive and actually seems like a REAL gamer girl instead of a "look at me, look at me, I'm a hot girl who plays video games!" type. Still not good enough to make me an IGN regular, but it's a good call. If IGN had more people like her and Daemon, and less like Greg and Colin, then the website might actually be decent.

But yeah, in essence...somebody probably had a hard on for her...and was trying (or did) get into her pants.

There is a difference between "gamer girls" and "girl gamers". You can google it, as there are many different views, but it almost always comes down to this.

Chobot is a gamer girl, she does it for the attention, which is obvious. Licking that PSP is literally what launched her career.

I'm a female gamer, a girl gamer. I play games because I like to play games, I don't flaunt my body or wave my gender around. I don't put on nighties, tight dresses, short skirts and heels or a bikini to play video games.

I actually play.

And I'm going to play Minecraft and kill some cows.


And it's also kind of odd that IGN takes so many pictures of Chobot in next to nothing, with her hand down her pants, and on the toilet. They're really milking her, aren't they?
