It is not Prothean. Multiplayer is tied story-wise to SP, which means that there can be no Protheans except for one traveling with Sheppard.

How can the Protheans (plural) rise when Javik The Nigerian was the last of them? I don't see that happening.

his name was javik the nigerian? nigerian??? well its possible they clone him or find more pods. their were pods on illium and you see thousands of pods in those memory sequences with javik. somewhere in the universe they could find them

Javik wouldn't let anyone clone him. His personality and behaviour strongly suggest so. And he's the last prothean, that's his shtick. If suddenly more protheans just pop out of nowhere, the From Ashes DLC and the entire character of Javik would be pointless.

Even if they did decide to clone him though they couldn't just start cloning full sized Javiks, they would have to be born and grow into a full sized prothean. Also we know nothing about how protheans mate and we have no female prothean dna, and what would be the point? even if we did somehow clone Javik we would just be left with an army of surly male protheans who can't sexually reproduce. If we had cloning technology it would make more sense to clone the races already present.

Javik only survived those 50000 years because the energy that would've gone into preserving thousands of protheans for a few centuries went into preserving a single pod, his own.

The majority of pods on Ilos had to be shut down in order for 12 to survive just a few centuries. Protheans had good cryo technology, but not that good.

Javik isn't trying to revive the prothean race. He is but an avatar of vengeance, his only goal in life to make the Reapers pay as dearly as possible before he dies. Letting someone clone him to do this for him wouldn't sit well with him at all. He's on the verge of being a death seeker already, and if you tell him to use the memory shard he moves there fully. What use would he see in letting someone clone him?

Yeah it's not very realistic, but i'm just not excited at all by the prospect of having either ex-cerberus or protheans on my team. Therefore i'm hoping for bioware to do something insane.
