The Protheans had fusion and mass effect technology. Both of which are capable of creating an infinite source of energy. For example... Mass Relays. Which have produced their own power for much longer than 50,000 years. In fact they have been around for an unknown amount of cycles....

Reapers can detect that though, I am pretty sure.

I think Eden Prime is a volcanic planet and Javik's colony was supposed to use geothermal energy to power their pods or something.

And doesn't change the fact that there is no reason for Protheans to wake up right before the next cycle.

Adding Batarians and Geth is easy, they're already there. We know it. On the War Asset panel you can see Geth forces and Batarian forces. To add Prothens as a new race, would require a new single player mission to add Protheans operatives in the lore. With that premise, keep in mind how this multiplayer is being handled by BioWare. Different weapons, different updates(patch for SP already launched) and different DLCs.

From Ashes DLC had nothing to do with Multiplayer and Ressurgence DLC had nothing to do with Singleplayer. None of the addition content from SP was touched in MP, like the AT12, N7 Armor, Chakram Launcher or Knight armor. Same goes for Kishock, Geth SMG and Striker AR, never touched in SP and there is no plan to do so.

Now, a DLC including Protheans would combine additional lore for SP and addition character for MP. I think BioWare is not going to do that with anything less than a major DLC. If we are to see Protheans, Collectors and Omega they will be each a 10USD DLC.

You bring up a good point Mozts.

I think the next DLC will be Omega (it's already partially confirmed as in the works) and will be a major add on to the SP and probably to the multiplayer adding Blood Pack, Eclipse and Blue Suns mercs as enemies.

Public Speaking and Advanced Debate are "college accomplishments" in the same way that Liberal Arts is a "college accomplishment."

If energy powering stasis pods wasn't a concern then why did they specifically state energy issues as the reason why the other pods died out. Hurr.
