 I cant be the only person that thinks elitism is only brought on by people attempting gold when theyre not ready.

I appreciate there are people on this forum that dedicate themselves to helping poor players in gold matches. But i dont see why the rest of us should have to put up with the constant slew of uncapable players that are pouring into gold all the time, and not just during operation weekends.

There isnt a system in place for stopping people with low N7s or low level characters playing gold, which is fine. There are plently of good players who level up their characters in gold, if they know they can handle it theres nothing wrong with that. 
But people who dont have the experience or skill are still playing gold all the time. Its partly FBWGGs fault, partly the unlock systems fault, and party the fault of people ensuring poor players can play gold if they "keep practicing".
Practice in silver until youre ready for gold and stop making our gold games more of a pain in the arse than they have to be.

So, just to recap.

Please stay out of gold if you dont have the experience and skill to contribute to the teams effort.

If youre a good player, please stop telling poor players to give gold a go. If you really want to train them up then play a private game.

I don't mind 1 or 2 inexperienced people playing gold with me, but I'm not sure I'm really good enough to carry 3 people that don't know what they're doing. I don't usually kick tho... I'll just leave until I find a pug lobby I'm comfortable with...

Well, I'm soooooooooo good, I solo gold from the landing zone. The enemies actually take care of the objectives for me, and if they don't have to do objectives, they just kill themselves. That's how awesome I am. Does that sound elitist?

Carrying 3 ppl in Gold pugs isn't the easiest thing in the world to do. Having 1 other good player makes a world of difference.

People can say elitists are bad, or im a douche all they want. But you all know im right.

Everyone at some point has been stuck on a team with an inferior player, and i bet you didnt all go"they suck, i had better help them out". The majority would curse them out, let them bleed out when they went down for the 15th time, or simply kick them when they got back in the lobby.

Im just trying to advice the bad players to stay out of games that are beyond their skill level.

Im doing a public service really, you should all be thanking me.

The games been out for ages now, you should have learned how to play.

I think what most players on the forums mean by elitism is: The belief that any player with insufficient N7 rating and/or weapons is not deserving of their assistance on Gold Difficulty.

Others appear to believe that people claiming those who are not SKILLED enough being kicked constitutes elitism, which is interesting...

You know what would be an easier solution? If you start your own private lobbies and play with others you know are on your level. Cause good luck keeping EVERY "bad" or "average" player who isn't ready out of Gold.

How do you know that the N7 80 guy you just kicked sucks?  Maybe he's played GOW Horde on Insane which is a lot harder than Gold in the sense it's 50 freaking rounds as opposed to 11 and you got no powers to spam out every 2 seconds.

You might find that the N7 340 guy with a level 20 GI with Widow X who replaced him in the lobby doesn't know how to play Gold either and gets downed 7 times before Wave 4 ends.
