Do it in a private match.

End of discussion.

Bye bye now.......

You first.  Since you seem to have the problem with allowing people to join a game.  A public game.Image IPB

Is this how you want to spend this portion of your life that you're wasting in this thread right now? Because neither of you is getting anywhere with this stupid back and forth.

Im laughing my ass off.

So im getting exactly what i wanted out of it

Bamford you are adorable! :) Seriously though if you want to start segregating Gold matches so you're never bothered with people you consider noobs entering your lobby, then just make a few friends and start a private match. If you only stick to public then you are always going to have people enter your lobby who you think aren't gold material. You can avoid this entire situation if you just play with the people you consider good enough.

PUBLIC GAMES ARE PUBLIC. Redundancy to emphasize the point. That goes for whether you think people should all have a certain skill for Gold, or you hate people being 'elitest.' If I have to have a biase, it is in favor of the person who doesn't know what they are doing. Because honestly, if you have skill enough to want to play with people with like skill, you know how to make a private party.

I prefer the way Mezantine said it.

Youve both said basically the same thing. But you much less eloquently.

just had a match with 3 70 ranked players with terrible load outs in gold constantly dying because they weren't even bothered to use cover.
Please explain to me how they are ready to play gold when this is the sort of **** you learn from bronze?
I didn't judge them from the lobby, I gave them a chance, and look what happened during the first 2 waves.

@Bamford:  Whatever, troll. Here's the deal, you want someone else to fix your problem. Which is FINE. The only issue being you COULD fix it yourself. Why suffer so?

At least sometimes you do have funny stuff to say. Humor is the way to go.

In the lobby inspect your team mates equipment, weapon and Equipment boosters such as ammo type, weapon enhancer, and power upgrade.

If you think this player cant pull of the job, start by asking if they have any equipment boosters to supply, if they have any weapons your knowledge says might be better.
You could have a N7 rating of 20 and use a level 20 adept with a good explosion build and pull off gold. so dont judge the book by its cover.

PS: (besides N7 rating does not say how much you've been playing really. if you never export your classes it will not  increase, beyond a certain amount).

I shouldnt have to fix it myself.

I shouldnt go into gold matches and find terrible players. Just like i wouldnt go into bronze and expect gold level
players.
I just dont know why people cant stay where they belong for now.

Im all for people moving up to gold when theyre ready. But it seems like hardly anyone in gold is ready for it.
They should be the ones making private matches to practice their skills.

How will they know where they belong, if they dont test it?
How will they learn, if they dont try?
Dont be ignorant, try looking at it from a different point of view, not only your own.
None was born with experience, everyone earn it usually by doing things "wrong". (which in other means can be right).

So this is the kindergarden? Glad to see there's a place here for everyone.

But if you stand in a corner and wait only to biotic charge the last enemy and die, then spend the rest of the time running around looking into the sky, I'll kick you. That's not me being elitist.

It's you being a complete waste of space.

The paralyzed sperm that got in the way and got pushed into the egg by the others.
The person that takes so long to push your pin at the store that even old people gets annoyed.
You're the one that misses the green light 5 times while writing a 3 letter text saying "lol" at some fart joke you heard a month ago, only to drive when the light turns red and cause other drivers to crash.
Your existence makes me doubt humanity.
You're the person that keeps asking questions in the cinema.
You're the reason Justin Bieber is rich.
You're the reason I'm glad that everyone else in the entire world is able to say "It could've been worse..."

Thanks.

Just wait till BW makes stat cards.
Now we know they can record individiual stats I can not wait till they patch in stat cards and add stats to manifest...
It will end so much BS in the game and on the forum.

The fact you make vindictive and personal attacks over threads like this just implicates you're one of these said scrubs with an inferiority complex who doesn't know when he doesn't belong in a gold match.

Easy, play silver til you're winning the majority of games very comfortably, or at least performing well yourself in the games that aren't as succesful due to lower skilled groups.
It's common sense. And if you lack that, then yeah, gold isn't for you. Ever.

This is your opinion, the point of the entire thread, you aren't alone, and it's good to raise the point so BioWare knows.  At the same time, there's enough people who disagree with you that you might want to spend more time making private games, until things go your way.

I make fun of self confidence issues, but its really a joke.  I get your point, even if I disagree with it.  But go get your game on.  Also, maybe, help people understand why spend more time in silver and bronze instead of criticizing them.  You will never eliminate the noob factor, no matter what you do,  but you can reduce it, and frustration (or for other ways to vent your frustration, maybe go checkout the Quarian Bum thread... :P ).

Anyone who is new should, in fact, spend time in bronzes and silvers, getting the basic equipment and credits.  Sure, you could spend 4 ish waves in gold getting the same money and maybe similar XP, but you aren't going to learn anything.  Its not so much about having a Gold player tell you what you shouldn't do, so much as playing games that you enjoy, and getting properly awarded for it.

I think that's all I could literally say on this issue, and then some.  Everybody get together with people you like to play with.  When you can't and must go public, accept the stupidty.  Friends now. <3

Maybe if the OP stopped making fun of people playing Silver, he wouldn't get so many trying to "de-noob" themselves by playing Gold matches before they're optimally equipped for it.

That's not how I learned. I learned with a vanguard host that spent hundreds of dollars on spectre packs on the first week. So he had hundreds of medigels, and back then there was no limit to medigel use. :D

But the idea of a post like this -is- to guide players that they are not ready for gold.
Granted, people don't seem to take the tongue in cheek approach too kindly, but they just respond with "omg fu you elitist dick!!!" when constructive opinions are formed on here, so why would having to explain to them all individually in the lobby prove any better?

There is much truth in your post.

I definitely think that from day one there should have been some kind of system in place to keep noobs out of gold. Not in a harsh elitest way, but most games dont let you have access to the hardest difficulty right away.

A minimum N7 level is the obvious answer. N7 isnt always a measurment of skill, but it does at least show youve spent time with the game.
I think a good way would be that you cant play gold until you extracted on bronze x amount of times, and silver x amount of time. Or you cant play gold until you have amassed a total score of something like 1,000,000 points.

I dont see why anyone would want to jump straight into gold anyway, its brutal if you dont know what youre doing.
At the very least, the system i mentioned would stop brand new players constantly entering gold lobbies and getting kicked right away, or joining gold games in session because they had set the search parameters for random difficulty by mistake.

P.S. Im friends with everyone :D

Read my post again, please, I did never target this thread, and I did find several very interesting and fleshed out posts that provided tips for people who aren't aware of them.

However, I barely saw anything constructive from the OP in any thread he has posted that are featured on the first page of these board. And this is not an ad hominem attack, it is just a fact.

Well your goal here is tremendously short sighted then. Everyone who plays MP doesn't post here, and the only thing topics like this can achieve is the creation of a **** storm amongst the people that do. The entire community that plays MP isn't going to follow your rules and you're always going to enter public gold lobbies that have less skilled players in them. You can easily avoid this entire situation if you start private games amongst your friends who you know are your skill level. If you're having trouble finding friends to play with then just start a thread for all people  who consider themselves elite to post their gamer tags. Then you can all hang out together safe in the knowledge that no noobs are going to spoil your game.

There's nothing constructive about your OP. If you think he gives a rats ass about anything other than bragging, then you should read this thread: http://social.biowar...ndex/12028271/1

Your man is the first poster who takes a dump on the OP of that thread who posted about having a good silver match.
