Hey, so I'm about to start my BG1 and 2 play, but I really want to play Dwarf.
But I heard that when you play as a dwarf, the NPC don't talk to you, you can't romance, etc etc...
Even if I get a mod that allows dwarfs to romance, will I be missing on "non romantic" dialogues with other NPC ?
Will I be the social outcast?
If I play a Dwarf will I be the outcast ?

This is not an issue in BG1. It's true that in BG2 you are cut out of the 3 standard romances, but the NPCs will still talk to you about everything else and there are good romance Mods - try Nalia's to start with. A dwarven fighter is an excellent choice for the first time you play the game.
