Got that right!!! The setup I used for the final battle was:

Tank - Xan (<- The REAL Xan, thank you very much!!!)

Tank - Shale

Archer\\Thief - Leliana

Healer\\Buffer - Wynne

Xan was equipped with the Veshialle with the GM runes of Dwoemer, Fire and Paralysis. I caught the Archdemon SEVERAL times with paralysis. Shale had the Flawless Ice Setup. Lily with the Superior Drakeskin and Marjiolane (spellcheck) Recurve; setup with steal when enemies health < 10%. And Wynne just made sure everyone was Hasted and Healed.

After a lot of experimenting...

Me: 2h Champion/Templar
Oghren: 2h Berserker/Templar
Morrigan: Spirit Healer/Blood Mage
Wynne: Spirit Healer/Arcane Warrior

Both mages must run haste at all times. This makes 2h godly. If I didn't have the respec mod I'd probably go Shapeshifter/Blood Mage on Morrigan.

I like using:

Shale: Stone Aura mitigates damage

Leliana: Captivating Song mitigates damage, Ranger pet DPS.

Wynne: Cleansing Aura, Haste, Miasma and the odd group heal.

And then any type of PC. The three of them running AoE buffs/debuffs and heals has some great synergy.


On my current game I have two mages run Haste, Bard running the damage buff with a Champion running Rally. I converted Leliana into a DW rogue, and Sten as a champion. x2 Haste on Sten with 2handed weapons is sick.  My main is a AW/SH who is loaded up with AoE auras, Miasma, haste, Cleansing Aura and Wynne is running Haste and Cleansing Aura aswell. We just buzzsaw everything in our path. The only drawback is now that I have two hastes running Leliana no longer has any time to pickpocket our foes. Everything just dies way to fast. So my DPS is through the roof but my PP gold has dried up, heh.

The best configuration I've used it PC - Rogue, 1 Tank, and 2 Mages (one for offense and one for healing and buffing)

What do you guys think about a party of 3 two-hander warriors + 1 mage with haste+weapon buff? Would they still be suck compared to dual wielders?

I find it very usefull as most ememy's only hit 1's.

I've tried two archers, alistair, wynne.

Two 2hders, alistair, morrigan

Arcane warrior, alistair, sten, morrigan - sometimes use lelianna instead of sten

sword and shield warrior, oghren (sten), morrigan, wynne

dual wield warrior, alistair, morrigan, wynn

I'd like to try a daul wield warrior, alistair, sten (ogrhen) and lelianna.

me(2hder), alistair, morrigan and dog is my fav, i dont care what anyone says, my hound is badass, almost as much as sandal, hmmm now if only he was a recruitable companion with his own unique class....
