Man of sense?

He might as well have an arse for a face with the amount of sh*t he spews everywhere.

Michael "Wii HD" Pachter doesn't know what he is talking about, he patently misunderstands (or is just ignorant) about plenty things. A freaking online blogger (Sean Malstrom) has more credibility than him.

Pachter is a "professional" in as much as he's paid to talk absolute **** on the internet.
He is an ignorant jackass who changes opinions depending on who's sponsoring in site more and deliberately flames those he considers gaming minorities to get attention (e.g. ME3 retakers and PC gamers).

He's not even a funny troll like Yahtzee, who is an ignorant jackass too but at least he's a troll who'll run around his cage flinging poo for our amusement.
Pachter just sits there and pretends he's an expert we're supposed to take seriously.

Edit: Oh and before BSN's resident trolls attempt to say I said that about Yahtzee because of what he said about ME3's ending controversy, no. He's an ignorant jackass for bashing Monster Hunter Tri for not having any giant monsters to fight.

Thank you. I'm glad somebody else agrees that Pachter just spews nonsense.

I see some you are still stuck in this "with us" <> "against us" stage. He was answering a question and told an example about people who try to take EA/Bioware to FTC because they didnt like the ending. And now you people feel deeply insulted...

I bet half of you didnt even watch the video before you joined the anti-ender bandwagon in this thread.

Who defends the whiners anyway?

Consumer backlash is some thing the gaming industry has never had to deal with till now, gamers are not exclusively kids any more, they have grown up,have a very different set of values and can't be told to simply go away.
Pach starts his trailer speech with reference to EA/Bioware's Mass Effect and ends with EA/Bioware's StarWars Old Republic.........doesn't anyone think this is a bit odd??To demean and belittle people who have genuine issues with EA products with out actually addressing any of the relevant issue's makes his trailer nothing more than a personal, bias rant.

Even if he was the gaming expert he claims to be and wasn't talking nonsense all the time, the fact that he feels he has to insult and belittle groups who don't agree with him says all I need to know.

People who have unbiased views on the subject do not insult either side of the debate.
This guy insults people who have problems with the endings, and lumps us all into one group to better flame us with strawman attacks. Which is exactly what he's done for a while now with PC gamers along with his sickening "I'm right because I know more than you." justification.

It contains Michael Pachter, therefore no.

We whiners don't need defending, there's so damn many of us.

a)! It doesn't matter what he says in the end, Pachter is a proven moron.

B) Focusing on, like, ONE person who made a complaint to the FTC that happened over a month ago that everybody's forgotten about is pathetic.

c) So what if retakers had a hand in EA winning the worst company in America award? It's clearly not the only reason. People have problems with EA, and these problems are justified.

d)  Lumping people into like minded groups is biased and futile.

e) Considering all of the above, the one coming across as "whiny" is Pachter himself.

You don't like the ending, and thought Bioware let you down.

OPINION!

Because I don't like the ending to a book, I can't make the author change it.    Saying 'nanananana I won't buy any more of your games EVA!!!!!!!!' is childish and immature.    You can be disappointed, and you can express this on these very forums.  However there isn't a basis for some kind of legal complaint.

WHY THE HECK should the government spend time on this????  You would have thought they have better things to be doing (I don't know, economy, foreign policy, trade, healthcare, gay rights, immigration..) than checking if a small part of the advertising for a harmless video-game product is accurate.

If Bioware want's to change the ending, and quite frankly they should because it's bad, that's their decision, but those who consider it their 'right' to have a good ending are just making all ME fans look bad.

If Mass3 was a book they would not have published it due to the poor ending.

We're talking about the fact that Mass Effect deserves a good ending. It deserves an ending that fits it's themes, universe and character. Not a faux-artsy, half-assed ending that is objectively bad.

Even BioWare have moved away from defending the ending to "the ending doesn't matter! It's about the journey! Whole game was an ending kkthx".

Also, why don't people have the right to a decent ending to a game they invested time, emotions and money into?
Why must gamers forever be treated as nobodies? Are we playing these games for free? Is our support meaningless?

Are you talking about the FTC guy?

Wow Marty McFLy, that was months ago and it was one randomer pretty much everyone regardless of opinion disagreed with.

People will never let this go, because then they'd have to recognise we're being reasonable.
They'd much rather paint us all as lunatics who are trying to make the U.S. government punish BioWare/EA with sanctions or something.
It's so much easier that way.

If Mass3 was a book then the book reviewers would have slammed the title for it's ending..........it's doesn't seem to work that way in the game industry though.

Games industry standards have become a joke.
Gaming journalists are useless lickspittles, backhand deals and favours are constant (hi, Allers), developers and publishers are allowed to blatantly lie about their games with no reprisal, buggy and incomplete games are released without consequence, DLC is outright abused with on-disc and day one content, and so on.

I hope the ME3 fiasco is the beginning of a wakeup call for this farce of a system.

Sadly Mass3 is quickly becoming an icon for everything that is wrong with the industry......it is opening everyone's eye's to how the game industry really works.
