I left the lobby shamefully as soon as I could.... I was in my 400s at the time while the other 3 were in their early 100s.
Worst. Match. Ever.
Therefore, I nominate myself.

We freaking breezed right through the map. Not a single rocket used, maybe 1 ops pack or a medigel per person.
It's wave 11 we are waiting for our epic win commendation pack full extraction.
And my friend goes afk. Right on the other side of the map.
Biggest facepalm i have ever had.

Good job he eventually got the hint and decided to say in cover. I was about to send him a message telling him to stop ****ing about after his 6th down.

Human engineer who was the last man standing along with a single banshee. After running around Hydra for ten minutes trying to kill her with his drone and occasional Saber shots, the Banshee manages to kill him with warp. I was stunned. I mean, really? If you can't handle a single banshee why are you even on Gold?
One of the best 'learning' experiences is to be the last person standing. I had that yesterday with two Banshees and 3 Marauder's chasing my Asari around Condor.
It is SO embarassing to be the potential hero an then muck it up, so although I am a decent N7 now and with some experience, I do play cautiously if I am the last player standing. If that means I'm going to spend a little more time running away to safe cover and killing enemies one-by-one without being flanked, then so be it.
To answer the question, the Human Engineer was on Gold to earn their Commendation Pack, and underestimated either the challenge or their own skill level. I hope they will be a better player the next time they are running around being chased by a Banshee.
It is also a little mean to criticise the last player standing when the other three are lyng in the dirt :-)

Not one but three players, none of them could handle a single gold brute/banshee on their own, they were completely blind for ravagers and the very first one we met downed the three of them. A marauder could kill the infiltrator 1v1. The Adept never triggered a single Biotic Explosion, busy "sniping".
From wave 3 to wave 11, I pretty much soloed, they just kept chain dying to everything within the first minutes of each wave, never using medigel/missiles.
Managed to pull off a lucky "lone survivor" with my last missile (none of them reached the LZ, nope, running from the sniping platform to the LZ was to hard on freakin' FBW.). Host insta ragequitted after the match.

So, I join a party with three in it already. I have my Justicar picked already, but I find that the party has a Justicar and an Asari Adept already. Before I can change, though, the Justicar user changes to an Inflitrator, giving us two Infiltrators, an AA and a Justicar. Sweet.
So we play a Gold round and it's near-flawless. I don't think any one of us used medigel. I was second on the team in points, and the AA and I were exploding EVERYTHING. Banshees were nothing, brutes were even less. It was great.
So we decide to go another round, and this time the guy who'd originally chosen a Justicar switches to his Justicar. Being polite, I switch characters as well. The other two stay the same, so we have the exact same setup-- just a different Justicar. I figure this is going to be cake.
Well... it's not. I believe we finally lost on Wave 5. That guy couldn't use his lvl.20 Justicar at all. The AA was doing all the work, they weren't coordinating, he was dead last in points at all times, we were getting overrun by Banshees every wave because he didn't know how to Reave + Bubble + Reave like a mad man... It all just went so horribly wrong after, just one round prior, it was possibly the best Gold run I'd ever had.
I was just surprised. I figured he knew how to play a Justicar. Turns out he definitely did not.

Asari vanguard with revanant x and gps x. N7 was 400. Never used charge or stasis once. Not once. For 10 waves. I guess he was afraid charging would give my drell adept the kill and lose him top scorer. He finished fourth.
Asari adept. Didn't set off a single one of my reaves. Every time I reaved a target he'd INTENTIONALLY warp a target at least ten meters away. By wave 5 I just waited for him to pick targets. And he never warped banshees.
Salarian infiltrator. Was just me and him left to solo a round. He used all his missiles and managed to kill a single brute.
There are more. 90% of the people I played with this weekend are the worst players I've ever seen on gold.

Turian dude get killed by a Husk, in the initial area, in less than 1 minute, with no other enemy arround to have shot him.
This mission just got a lot more complicated.

I think it was Wave 4 or 5. Last enemies were two marauders, both behind the console in the control room. I knew the AA was behind me so I reaved, enemy glowed blue. You know what the AA did? She sprinted to the marauders and used heavy melee. The only time she used Throw was when she was being chased by a banshee.

Hydra/Gold/Reapers.
Wave 3, I notice the GI using missiles. I tell him to stop, lots more to come. First bad sign. Start of wave 5, I'm holding the bunker by myself (easily top of leaderboard). Notice other 3 falling back towards me in the face of Banshees and Brutes. Turn to fire at them, dodge back right into path of grenade. Get revived but by then Banshees are on top of me, so I get stabbed. Then watch the GI and SI run around for 15 minutes trying to clear the rest of the wave, failing badly and finally falling to the last couple of banshees. So many missed shots ffs. The Widow is not a forgiving gun. If you are not a good sniper, avoid it!

I been trolling gold teams on my other account and helping them fail...
It is pretty noobish to sit there in front of the objective and not capture it, then when someone else comes near pretend to be taking it, then stop.

Edit: Yes, this player had a mic and straight up admitted they didn't have any points in Reave. At lvl 20. He was spamming Pull the entire time against shielded targets.
Yeah, I think I agree that the thread should have automatically ended with a winner. Reave is pretty much the best biotic power in the game. Maybe not the most damaging, but the speed and versatility make up for it.
And most people know that area reave and cluster grenades is pretty much auto-win.

I was unlucky to get into a group with not one but two adepts who were rocking a black widow and claymore and neither had stasis. In another group I had someone fire off a missile to kill a brute that I had down too 1 bar of armor left...on wave 3 (or 2 not sure what wave they start to show on gold). Ran into countless people who just don't understand why finding cover is a good idea rather than standing out in the open to get shot at from all angles of the map.
