Biggest noob you've seen on gold today?

There were 3 of us (my human sentinel, an AA and a GI) in a Giant/Reapers/Gold lobby, and a 4th joins and immediately says "We're gonna need a Salarian Engi-oh, reapers? F*** that." and leaves. Guy wanted to be all badass and boss people around on FBWGG, but ran scared the second he saw it was an actual Gold game. I'm not great at Gold yet, but I was LOLing.

Well that would be me, today!
I honestly don't know what the problem is (other than clearly I have zero business on Gold - though I don't remember Gold being that totally insanely bad during last operation).
Trying a number of Gold runs today and trying my very best (admittedly, having a few facepalm worthy moments here or there) but dammit, getting overrun by Reapers each and every time. What a furpile - 2 Banshees, 2 or more Brutes, some Reavers thrown in there so hilarity's sake, and why the heck not, some Marauders too - with me at the very bottom of that furpile being revived and trying to get away from that particular cluster****, but of course no such luck (it taking a second or two to get control of my toon back after getting back, during which time a Brute decides to pull me back into a hug or a Reaver decided to throw a firecracker my way).
Today has been a truly horrible experience and I can only imagine how the other team members must have felt. As much as I would like to try some Gold runs every now and again so I could make some decent credits, in order to improve my gear - yeah, if today has taught me anything, it's to stay the hell away from Gold, cuz I simply suck at it despite trying my damndest to aid the team and complete the mission.
Definitely an occasion for a sad panda face, if I ever saw one.
Don't be discouraged- sometimes group synergy doesn't work out, and then sometimes it does. I know how you feel but playing with friends on Gold more often will help practice.

An N7 500+. Gets killed twice on Wave 1 by cannibals. When anyone else dies, he proceeds with the insults. Note however, the other players were getting off'd by bosses. Banshees, brutes, ravagers. And yes, he eventually dies again, to a cannibal, but everyone else is a trash player.
Not to defend this guy, but random cannibal grenades are deadlier than brutes.

Not necessarily a noob, but still funny.

That is pretty bad. I would have sent him a message telling him how much of a loser he really is if he thinks he is "good enough" to boss people around and yet runs like a scared girl at the sight of a real Gold game that isn't FBWGG.

Krogan on FBWGG who took position at the bunkers outside the "room". Which is fine, except that instead of picking off incoming, he would just get overwhelmed while attracting a horde to our back door. About half way through each wave he would die and as soon as he did I knew we were screwed.
We made it until Wave 9 when after several blitzes the GI who kept ending up as the sole survivor ran out of medigels.
He meant well, and not utterly incompetent - but it did drive me a bit crazy that after three waves of the same thing happening he didn't change up his strategy.
I had an N7 level 80ish friend who did the same thing. But he managed to do a lot more damage than he got himself killed.
Also, we didn't have an infiltrator. Still extracted.

I had my friend with me, so we thought the team was going to keep together and do what had to be done. NOPE! they went and stood on that incline behind the boxes at the back right of the map so that and camped there, not leaving for objectives or then extraction time comes and they just stand so me and my friend decide to deny them thier full by staring them down while we die.
Of course when it was time to go they just fell off the map and teleported to the extraction zone....

Enter the idiot; the one who thinks it's a good idea to stay on top of the map even though the rest of the team is below. He died, we didn't bother reviving him and by wave 3 or so he learned to stop running around like a headless chicken and stick near the bottom, right on my spot. It was fine, I adapted. I'm just saying, there were a billion other places to camp down there and he chose the one that gave me (and him) no maneuverability. Eventually I took to moving around a lot more, even though it made it harder for me to place my decoy. Well anyway, we still did a decent job.
Cue extraction, what does the guy do? Runs to the LZ the second the timer starts. I may be a Gold newbie, but even I know you just don't do that. He sees that none of us are following and instead of running back he just plants there. It takes him five seconds to die. None of us are close enough to get through the horde of primes and pyros, run across the entire map and revive him before he bleeds out. Thanks dude, great job there.

Guy used exploit yesterday spammed overload on Primes for 20 minutes after everyone was down. At end it said took 66 minutes to complete game. I quit next time it happens.PsychoticBiotic wrote...
Today was worse than yesterday. Two idiots decided to use the Hydra exploit to get behind the waterfall, leaving me open to fire from everywhere. The spawns were all messed up, and I refused to use a medigel. Worst part was that one of the players was blocking the other sniper, just standing there doing nothing. I decided to see of they could handle it, and it was pathetic. Everytime they fell off the ledge they would just run back and use the exploit again. Took them 15 minutes to clear a wave 1 Gold vs Cerberus. And they died like 10 times together. The last guy took about 3 minutes to solo a Nemesis. *facepalm*

Reapers on Dagger.
Not once did I see this guy using the Widow... Maybe the GSMG is just cooler...
We made full extraction and I see this guy made 20K and 25 SMG kills.
The N7 46 TS lvl 16 with an Avenger VI more than double his score!
At least he only died 4 times...

I kept dying and used all my medi packs first round or two. Then when my team mates died near me I did not even revive them because I thought u needed a medi pack to do so and I was out. So I just fought while standing on their revivable corpse.
Needless to say we failed on round 6 or so and they booted me in the lobby...I felt unwanted and inadequate...looking back, I am surprised they were as patient with me as they were :-)

I feel like nominating myself for a game I played yesterday where I got insta-killed THREE TIMES in the same game on FB:Giant by banshees. Its not exactly an enemy that tends to sneak up on you either.
It was one of those games that makes you feel like changing your name and going into witness protection.
edit: Though technically this might not count since it was before the event started so I might be in the clear.
Include me in that list, I thought I became a banshee magnet, i woudldn't not mind dying, have medigel to spare but instant kill? perhaps bad luck or just was off my game.
Have a great play on FBW Reapers Gold run. I did not expect much of that game, just gave it a try. When the team goes down to postioned aka Farming Geth style, i thought, will this work? So I followed the team considering everyone had to stick together in a Gold match. For the first four waves prior to banshee, it went okay. But after the banshees came, all hell broke loose. Four banshees in that room seemed like a trap, but for whatever reason, the banshees seemed stuck on the counter. Every time she jump, she returned in the same position. Without a mic, instinctively, we all knew what do to, set-up biotice offensive bubble, sentinel warp, justicar reave (biotic explosion), batarian fire at will mode. The batarian had to stay in cover behind that counter to keep the banshee pre-occupied, he sort of play the salarian engineer's decoy
By luck have it and perhaps due to the skills & experience of the squad, we managed full extraction, only three left. one of the team got disconnected (infiltrator prior to wave four), perhaps one of those connection issues.
