Surely that is only because of your view?

What is true AI? Can we define a species better than another due to a 'soul'? Something that we don't know if it even exists.

So if the Geth have reached true AI, what gives us the right to live any more than them? We are suddenly on the same mental capacity, we analyze things etc.
Emotion? Surely this can be seen with Legion taking a part of Shepards armor for unknown reasons, reasons which are not logic based as it was impractical.

So really, no that unit may not have a soul, because we do not infact have souls. It is not black and white.
