How do you get the password to get back to Paedon in the Pearl in Denerim?  I'm trying to assassinate him, but can't get back to him to do it.  Makes me mad because I'd just hack down the door with a battleaxe, but the game won't let me do that.

You should search around the entrance to the Alienage.
