Its fun to lead the scoreboard but there is only one question that matters. Did you complete the mission?
Actually, what bothered me about the Hydra/Cerberus game is that the Level 20 Soldier (who was rocking an Avenger, ugh), was literally THREE FEET AWAY FROM THE EXTRACTION CIRCLE, with no enemies around, and didn't have the presence of mind to step into it with 5 seconds remaining, leading to a Partial Extract. I mean, I didn't even care that the Level 3 Adept with an Arc PIstol I was killing nothing, because at least he listened.

Where "carrying" can mean something is solo'ing, or clear difference in effectiveness. If I'm constantly having to pick you up or bail you out of bad situations and you barely ever have to do the same for me, then yes, I'd say I'm carrying you. If I have to solo not just one but multiple waves because you're dead, yes, I'm carrying you. Basically, if you would have lost without me being there, I'm carrying you.
But you don't have to take that harshly, just as I don't have to brag. I've had tons of matches where I just plain needed carried. I picked a class I'm bad with/I picked the wrong equipment for this stage or enemy/I'm having a lousy gaming day and nothing's coming out right/etc. That's why it's a team game. If a guy is able to carry the team and you need carried, hop on his back. Thank him. And do better next time.

Having high score does not equate "carrying" the team because of the rather shoddy way that the MP is balanced and counts points.
Disagree. Check the screencaps in my OP, and tell me those guys weren't being carried. If people are really Tech Bursting or Biotic Exploding, they will have way more points. Period. I've seen Turian Sentinels and Salarian Engineers (ultimate support classes) clear 100K easy.

A lot of posts have been cropping up recently with claims of carrying people, when the scores are actually decent or good and you had a geth infiltrator running around outscoring everyone, this seems to be the new carry claim but it is BS. If you have a QE or KS with 100k+ and everyone is 40k or less, that is carrying. 120+>70K Geth Infiltrator is not carrying...
Actually, me usually being a G.I. due to the superior firepower, I think I'm the one being carried by the others, as I kill off everything, while they revive me when I die. Weird, really.

What's carring then? 150-175, 175-200. For the past day and a half my GI strapped with a Javelin X (uber op) has been clearing most of if not all the objectives (infiltrator should), reviving everyone, and using five rockets a game because for some odd reason people don't like to stay away for the Lz. I agree with op that this set-up is rediculously awsome to the point where my team can't keep up, but that is still carring. If Kobe Bryant drops 81 points in a game and the team wins, then he deserves the credit for carring the team with his amazing skills.

So wave 10 comes along and they go down, I manged to revive a few of them a few times but in the end they all bleed out, I carry on blasting away but get taken down, medi gel, kill some more get taken down again and then it dawns on me, wtf am I doing if they can't be bothed to even use one medi gel at all in any round why the hell should I (I have loads of them in stock).
To me that is carrying a team, not how much higer your score is compared to mine or mine to yours.

Personally I dont think haveing a high score means your carring anyone, as score means SFA. Yesterday playing silver I had to solo 3 rounds as my team mates seemed to lack the ablity to hit medigel, I said over the mic, "Guys not being funny but you do have medi gels for a reason" I dont mind, somtimes it's fun to run around like a headless chicken and lay waste to all before you.

If this actually happened, your score should be much higher than the rest. I find games where I have to repeatedly solo Waves is when I have the highest point totals (obviously, since you're the only one feasting on the wave budget).

Most of my games, everyone is pretty close (except Geth Infiltrators playing with Claymores), rarely more than 5-20k difference.

True, but I think the people you're playing with probably aren't bleeding out in Wave 2.

Just learn to play the game a bit better. Im sure it will happen, give it some time.
But please dont practice in gold. Weve got enough problems there this weekend,

Unless you can score the same amount of points with any other class - you don't have any amazing skill.

You're obviously not very well informed, sir.
The point of the matter is that Infiltrators are quick to claim they are carrying a team, when they're really not. Throghout a match with three players not playing Infiltrator - the Infiltrator will have about 2-5 % of the aggro. Meaning he/she can lay back and shoot, never worrying about being shot themselves. Seeing as they've got Tactical Cloak (Which is OP beyond belief).
Of course you're going to end up with the highest score if you're semi-decent with the Infiltrator class.
> You're not drawing aggro at all - You're invisible 85 % of the time.
> You're using weapons that kill in one shot against trash mobs, and not many more against tougher enemies.
> You've either got a wallhack or an ability that gives you back full shields when used vs shielded/syntethic enemies.
If you die at any point other than Hacking objectives you're doing it wrong. Infiltrator is without a doubt the most overpowered class in the game. Scoring 40-70k more than the Human Soldier isn't carrying him. He's carrying you - Without him to draw all the aggro away from you, you'd be nearly useless. Of course this doesn't apply to all players. But most randoms you're going to get into your lobby are either Geth or Salarian Infiltrator - they'll claim to be carrying the team and post a screenshot scoring 30k more than the second one on the board.

I find it hilarious that you just directed that comment at Stardusk. You must be new here.
On topic- I've been playing Geth, Quarian, and Salarian Claymore Infiltrators lately, and I usually lead the scoreboard by 50-70K plus every match, (Maybe 40K over Black Widow Infiltrators).
However, the number of matches where I felt I was solely responsible for my team's win (carrying) have been minimal. This game doesn't score support for crap. Kills lead the board, always.
I pretty much only play kill classes, as I'm no good at support, but I'm sick of hearing every Infiltrator with a God Complex saying "Kick the Soldier, he only got 50K score."
You mean the Soldier that covered your 6 ALL MATCH so you never once got flanked.
So, from one Infiltrator to the rest, I say, "Stuff it."

If I ever ran into that Soldier, I'd give him credit in a heartbeat. I dunno, the only time I've ever seen the kind of support you're talking about is when I'm playing with friends, not randoms. There, it doesn't matter what score is, because people know what they're doing (watching flanks, kiting, suppressing spawns, etc.) When it comes to PUGs, I'm usually totally carrying and solo'ing several Waves (where I don't get to use my squadmates as decoys).

I did, and I dedicated an entire thread here to the dude. I'll admit, they're rare to come by, but when they do, Infiltrators will try to kick them.

This dude was almost solely responsible for the easiest 22 minute public Geth Gold clear ever. (No farming tactics)

Plenty of really good players out there who are not aholes.
Also I think stardusk's point was that it's not carrying because getting a high score with a GI or a SI is so easy. The word "carry" implies effort and there is not as much effort topping the scoreboard with those two classes. At least that was my read of it.
