The geth in multiplayer are unshackled AI, like Evas body, it has nothing to do with siding with the geth or quarians.

I... what? That's just wrong.

Eh...you do know what that term actually means, right?

The geth aren't restricted AIs at all.

The presence of quarians and geth in the multiplayer seems to suggest that peace between the two races is canon, though.

Multiplayer is only loosely based on Singleplayer.  What if the player did not side with the Geth? the Quarians? What if Shepard killed Ballak? The story matters far less here then in SP. Expect the plot to get railroaded several times.

Powers established for Protheans have been moved from Single Player reference files to Multiplayer reference files. This, combined with the very clear statement in the first major leak (that forshadowed Resurgence) that protheans were to be added to MP, puts the nail in the coffin. There will be two prothean classes, get over your butthurt and move on.

Multiplayer and Singleplayer are actually tied together quite tightly. Atleast BioWare tried to do that. They just assume the best possible outcome for the MP to work. So not really a point in favour of protheans.

And I'd like to see the source on that second point, since BioWare said the exact opposite last time I checked.

Best OP I've seen in a LONG time. All of your points are logical, make the most sense, and are what I have been thinking since the rumor was released. +1

Its painfully obvious that "Phoenix" is Prothean, ESPECIALLY after From Ashes. Those that don't think so are either idiots or in denial. I don't like it other folks but it's time to get over it.

Vorcha would get Fortification though, not Blade Armor, as they use it in ME2. I also expect inferno grenades over carnage(with maybe a flamethrower made into a power somehow for their third). Health regen should just be passive(as in, no segmented health).

If Krogan don't get this, why should the Vorcha?

You want the Vorcha to have Fortification/Blade Armor and Inferno Grenades? Despite the fact that the former is the exact skillset for the Krogan Soldier, and the latter the exact skillset for the Batarian Soldier? But hey, why encourage some diversity within the least interesting clas sin the game!

I there are going to male quarians I want at least one of them to have defence matrix.

Still, the one class I really want is a drell infiltrator... :(

I think a Drell and Turian Infiltrator would be kind of awesome, but for the love of God, that Turian would need the ability to dodge.

1000 Health/1000 Shields. No combat roll.

1)Elite bomb. Tells off(deals heavy damage and stuns) silver and bronze enemies. Doesn't do jack **** on gold.
2)Farm more. Shuns all enemy infantry for using ****ty non-gold weapons(Hornet/GPR/Phaeston/Mattock and so on). Buffs guardians with their ultra rare talon.
3)**** you. Generic insult. Deals moderate damage in a cone and staggers weaker foes. Elites are pissed off though.

First off, it's 100 Health/3000 Shields. Low health due to lack of physical activity and exercise. Massive shields due to hiding behind the anonymity of the the Internet. No combat roll due to the love handles that double as a belt.

1) F-bomb: (Grenade effect of 1 & 3 of your list).
2) Farming: Never misses on FBWGG; can't hit anything on any other map.
3) L33t Talk: Inability to spell or speak correctly, due to lack of awareness that cognizant discussion is more likely to sway opinions than just calling someone a "n00b."

By the way, the Hornet and any weapon with the word "Geth" in it is Gold. Also, don't disparage the Phaeston and Mattock. Turians do quite well with their native AR, and the Mattock isn't a slouch. Not everyone has the time to gather enough credits to buy numerous PSPs. Especially the people that have limited skills, are aware of it, and tend to stick to Bronze and Silver. Even a Mattock I on a CQC that isn't worried about cooldowns (Krogan Sentinels, I'm looking at you) isn't a bad call, especially for someone just starting out.

Thirteen classes? There are only seven human classes (including BF3 soldier). There is no difference to the different genders other than gender.

Now unless Female Infiltrators can shoot lightning out of their behinds while male infiltrators cannot there are only seven human classes. Gender Swap doesn't count.

Does that mean it's likely we'll get more humans? Who knows? Who cares? If the abilities are different you will eventually play that new class rather than be butthurt about it.

Agree to disagree, wait to see what happens, then move on. :3

The issue: Ex Cerberus soldiers ARE a war asset.
Thus, the Cerberus soldiers popping up on a battle field for the alliance does make some sense.

It was ADAM Baldwin who voiced Kal-Reegar, not Alec, and he SHOULD voice Mp quarians.

Also, i still kinda like the idea of a Phoenix' being Prothean VI type, biotic-spewing, essentially autonomous, turret.

seriously what is all this heavy animosity between people who believe that protheans will be in MP and those that don't!? Rather than throwing inflammatory comments at one another why don't we just calm down and wait for bioware to tell us because until then all either view is, is speculation.

We could  squeeze em into some of those mechanical exosuits that the Ceph use in Crysis 2. That'd be actually pretty cool.

Raloi could be humanoid...
BW hasn't been specific on what they are, just that they are Avian (Bird like) and wear space suits when dealing with other races.

There is an amusing amount of speculation and assumption here given the stated purpose of the thread.

I want Drell Infiltrator. I don't know how BW didn't include him in first place; I mean infiltration and spying is Drell job 24/7.

At launch Bioware saw fit to include 13 Human characters and 12 non-human characters; they thought that was a fine ratio. Resurgence added 6 more non-humans and this DLC will include more. If any more humans are ever added that would only move it closer to that launch day ratio.

Not that I'm saying I know for sure this is what will happen, I just don't think it's a valid reason to shoot down any type of human characters ever being added. But personally I'd love to play an ex-Cerberus Engineer (they have the snazziest armor) or any of the Merc bands.

I don't know what the dlc will contain. Maybe there will be Protheans, maybe not. But for those who argue that the inclusion of Protheans in MP would ruin the continuity with SP, this isn't necessarily so. From the "From Ashes" dlc we already know that Cerberus was actively pursuing Prothean tech. They nearly got their hands on a live Prothean. Just because Shephard foiled that doesn't mean that Cerberus gave up. Javik's flashbacks tell us there was something like a million life pods at that Prothean base. Now all of those Protheans may be long dead, but if Cerberus got hold of just a little viable genetic material from those pods then there is a strong possibility of cloned Protheans. From Grunt's storyline we know that cloning or "tank breeding" isn't an impossibility. But why would Cerberus need cloned Protheans? From Javik's story we learned about his Prothean "memory card" that had all that information about Protheans and their war with the Reapers. Perhaps Cerberus got their hands on a number of these. If their scientists were unable to unlock the data contained therein, a cloned Prothean, whose physiology and telepathic abilities the cards were made for would certainly have no trouble. Subsequent interrogation of said clone Prothean would deliver a wealth of Reaper data into the hands of Cerberus, aiding their endeavors in controlling Reaper indoctrination. And, viola, we have our Protheans ( remember, we just recently completed a MP operation against Cerberus, which would explain how we liberated the clones from Cerberus clutches. Anyway, if Protheans show up in MP, that's what I'm telling myself to make it all make sense!
