So since my last similar thread i made a few days ago
http://social.biowar.../index/11933529 turned out to get alot more responses i expected, i thought i might aswell do it again, this time however with a different subject.

The part where you have to either, doge the lazor's or use the ''Run like a chicken'' strategy from the lazor.

I dodge. I died the first time I ever fought that reaper because I didn't have the timing quite right. I enjoyed making it go boom though :-D

the first thing? "laughable". followed by "cheap" and "cheezy". that was one of the most stupid moments in the entire game.

I enjoyed it but I do realise how non-sensical it was. It's annoying now especially since a Cain is apparently able to hit it's weak point for massive damage. Oh and that Reaper has more dialogue than Harbinger. WTF?

I did not really felt anything while fighting the Reaper, I just wanted to end the geth/quarian war and that Reaper was in my why, so I killed it. Strangly I did not die once in my first playthrough but in my second one I died 5 times. I never expect much from bossfights and that particular one was luckily a short one.

My first thoughts after getting killed in seconds the first time…

Who is the idiot that thought this idea up. Fight a Reaper in a boxed in area about 40 feet wide with no cover. Oh yea, the Reaper has a gun that should be able to easily damage most starships. Yea, fun. Real fun and real stupid.

Interesting from a story perspective (IE it would have worked much better in a movie) but in a game it just falls flat as it provides no real challenge.  Would have preferred an actual boss fight.

it was a pretty cool scene, the game did not have as many good moments as me2 and 1 but that particular bit was fun the first time round

I immediately paused the game and alt-tabbed out to find the benny hill theme on youtube. Then I unpaused.

First thought was:

"Why the hell does everybody say we can't kill them conventionally if I'm killing one on foot?"

I inmediately thought of the ME2 end boss, the reaper larva, which had a similar playstyle. But in the case of ME2 you actually used your weapons, and had to deal with waves of collectors in between.

I think i died the first time because i dodged but it seems i wasn´t as far enough to avoid the laser. The next tries i dodged two times just in case and i had no problems killing it

I was more emotionally invested the first time, because after fighting loads of cerberus mooks and husks, you finally fight a REAPER. There was a build up which made the fight kind of exciting. However after the first time yo do the fight, you realise just how clumsy and non-sensical the whole thing was. And how stupid the reapers are for not sending a sovereign-class ship instead, they only send to Tuchanka and Rannoch the little ones. Likely because they were introduced in ME3 so bioware wanted to show them off.

Reminded me of the Arishock fight on Dragon Age 2 what with all the running. But once you get into the swing of things its a lot less frustrating than the Arishock fight.

Honestly?

"Cool! This is amazing!"

then...

"This is rather frustrating..."

then...

"Oh, that's it? Okay."
