Yoda makes me feel better about myself. A short guy who can kick a**.
There is hope for me yet.

Yoda would destroy that Reaper. He'd jump on it. Dodge the lasers, then lightsaber the weakspot to oblivion.

I'd rather the Reapers spoke like Yoda:

"Hurts you, this does"
"War there is not, only harvest there is" (well ok not quite a reaper)"

And is there really a proper explanation for the Rannoch Reaper Destroyer having more of a part than dear old Harby? Spill it dude...

My first thought was, "THIS is what I wanted."

Ever since the Sovereign-in-Saren's-body fight in Mass Effect 1, I had been waiting for a "proper" Reaper fight. And yeah, some of the plot hole stuff that other people are complaining about in here did strike me later. At the moment, though, I was just taken in by the scale of the thing, and by how awesome it was going to be to take a Reaper down with the help of an entire space fleet at my command. Even now, when I replay the game, I'm totally able to put aside plot hole considerations and just enjoy blowing up a frigging Reaper without even having to use a gun that shoots thresher maws.

"HOLY ****ING **** IT'S A REAPER!! LEGION! GET YOUR ASS BACK HERE AND SAVE ME, YOU BASTARD!!!"

Something along those lines.

No way...

Screw you, whoever thought this up- just really- I'd like to see you dance to a Reaper's fricking laser.
Come on, I dodge rolled twice clear from the path and it gets me!

Swear words. A lot of them. And demanding why I can't stay behind the cliff poking my head up. The entire game teaches me cover and trolls me with the one thing I suck at ( combat roll).

Running works, and then fails. Lots of rolling, no chances taking- dead, again. I have died more times than in any game squared.

Why the hell did my gun not work- dead. I paused, not ordered a warp- dead.

Zoom in, slow down, pause, double check because I'm not playing this again tonight. Fire- dead Reaper, finally.

I found something I hate more than the Geth auto targeting nightmare in Overlord.

Note to self: Find concept writer of that sequence and put him toe to toe with a Reaper.

"DELTA WE'RE USING THE HAMMER"

The only thing that bugged me about that scene is how quiet the impacts from the fleet were. I was expecting my speakers to be blown out, but they're quieter than grenades...

i thought it was ridiculous. shooting a meaningless turret gun at him, then being on some cliffs edge running back and forth while i laser point his eye ball so ships can bomb the hell out of him while im merely just a few feet away.

it felt disappointing talking to a reaper in ME3 that wasnt harbinger. idc about what any reaper says thats not harbinger. ranoch reaper is a BS reaper.

Give me a Cain, and one shot. It was *instantly* obvious that the 'weapon-eye' was the weak point, since, you know, fighting the human/reaper construct in ME 2...

First thought when Shepard was like "pull over, I'm going to face this thing right here with nothing but a target synching laser"...

"Shepard must have hit his head on something, because this plan is just stupid!"

But, then I remembered that he was the protagonist and it wasn't the end of the game, so it must be less challenging than one would immediately think. Sure enough...

My thoughts exactly.
I said that already somewhere but: You can argue about "realism" or "sense" all you want, and YES it's been over used, YES it's cheesy and moderately to insanely stupid, YES it's kinda un-masseffect-y, but in that moment where time slows down to deliver the final blow, I probably muttered every eighties-action-movie-one-liner I ever heard.

Of course ME3 is a lot about action, and the whole mainstream-ization with EA is an omnipresent issue. It's like an intelligent television series that suddendly gets a new character with a lot of cleavage. At first you think "ugh..." immediately followed by an inevitable "hey...boobies."

Bottom line: this scene is like boobs to me. you're not necessarily a macho **** solely because you like boobs.

My thought: "Do you know who the f*** I am, I'm commander Shepard b***ch"
After it's dead: "King Kong ain't got s*** on me"
