Hi all,

we've encountered strange behavior on our PW with character duplication. One player logged and then crashed but his character stayed in the game... and when he logged on again, his character was present two times. Relog did not help. Then I logged as DM and tried to posses this char - it was not possible (server stated that I cannot posses owned character).
So I asked player to log off and then killed the char, when player later logged on the duplication disappeared BUT he was not able to do anything, in character sheet he saw empty statistics, etc. Finally I was forced to restart server.

Does anybody know what is this about? Any tips what could be the problem or possibly how to fix it? Or does even anybode experienced this issue?

Note that we are running our server on VMWare image + there is port forwarding set.

more infromation: I found in server vault folder named lost+found and there his character (copy of his character)... does anybody know what is going on here?

Sounds like that client got disconnected, but the server could not sort it out until he came back, and even then it stayed wonky. Sometimes you just gotta restart the server.

Are you using xp_bugfix on that server, and was client using the client extension, and are they the latest versions?

To questions: Yes, we use xp_bugfix (latest version) and the player didn't use client extension.
I'll try to convince him to use it.
