I agree with the verdict that the Saber is the better gun. I rock gold with that gun on my Soldier. I do want to comment on the video itself. I'm not a big fan of the 'dooba dooba dee' jokes every 20 seconds. You should concentrate on informing us (which you do great) and leave the jokes (maybe 1 or 2 if you can't help yourself). I think that would improve the overall quality of the vids. For the rest, nice vid.
What maybe going for the saber as well is the fact that (on consoles) you can't fire as quick as on a keyboard. This means you can't shoot the Mattock as fast on the console as on a PC, which makes it even more weak. Since the Saber shoots quite slow, that is not a problem on a PS3 controller:D

Raptor X.
No, it's not a sniper-rifle. Don't buy the hype.
xD i dont even use raptor, i hate the noise i get with it. when ever i zoom my audio card decides to throw a tantrum and gives me this unbearable static sound instead of the normal sound you get while zoomed in, and its not just a spike in the static, it keeps pouring in as long as i keep myself zoomed in, gues if BW is lifting a finger to fix it?
Uh... hate to tell you. But that's just the sound it makes when zoomed in bro.
I have heard the normal sound. Mine is nothing like that. Mine is like radio static mixed in with random metal screeching sounds. the normal sound by comparison is gentle. And i already confirmed this from a few buddies who got the same issue. ITs on almost all Xfi series cards with win7 xD

This or fire a round and wait a sec before firing another. Even watered down the rifle is a beast though. As host it isn't even fair.FreeshootXiggy wrote...
I love using either Vindicator or Revenant, I would find the falcon better but don't you have to host a game to keep it from blanking?

If you mostly use powers and only shoot on occasion to keep pressure up while on cooldown, I'd say prioritise power - Mattock.
If you use your assault rifle often and support it with powers, I'd say Phaeston - the recoil is low, and it is automatic, enabling effective rapid fire.

I love the M-76 Revenant, its like a non-stop barrage of death.
try giving it io a Turian Sentinel and giving it disrupter ammo with a squad tech spammers, it transforms into a rain of tech bursing death.

I'm new to multiplayer and I really like how the Avenger works (low recoil, fast reload, low weight, high rate-of-fire), but it doesn't seem to do very good damage. OTOH, I'm not sure that any weapon does a lot of damage in multiplayer. If that chart is to be believed, the Avenger isn't that bad. And since I'm new to multiplayer, rather than saving credits for the expensive packs, maybe I should just keep buying the entry-level ones to upgrade the level of my Avenger.

If this is accurate, the Mattock seems to have the highest sustained DPS. What's surprising to me is that the Avenger's stats really aren't bad.

This linl is more recent and more accurate I think.
The avenger is a good weapon for bronze and ok on silver.
Maxing out the recruit pack weapons first is a good idea as a avenger x or pred x arent that bad.

I'm just not sure if it's cost effective to dump so many credits into the entry-level packs. Seems like the tier 2 ones have some really good weapons also (M-96 Mattock or the Phaeston), though at ~3x the price. Gah, I just wish you could specifically buy weapons instead of all this random stuff.Badpanzer wrote...
