I think a few of the coolest moment I've had are random shots that were impossible to amek but somehow did it. I always carry a weapon with Armor perice, usually the talon or carnifex.

Anyway, the first cool shot I made was decapitiating Phantom Mid flip. It was with a non-scoped Carnifex on White, the ledge by the plane there they have to summersault up and off the ledge. Well as she disented from the ledge she fliped right into my bullet. I felt like a hawk eye.

The other cool thing I did was against geth. Three Troopers were making their way towards me, I shoot one in the chest, and it side steps, I shoot the next in the chest, and it side steps, I shoot the third in the chest and it side steps..all that side steping put them all into a line, and with one carnifex shot, I head shot all three. The Dude seems to be pretty awesome . It´s really great story, OP and great reading, thank you.

I remember one asari with tears in my eyes. I died rigt next rachni and here she comes, throw that blue bubble(Biotic Sphere?) and revives me. I was like...OMG, she did it all for me! :crying: How can I repay? Then she dies two seconds later and here I am, with my life saving charge button ready. I am able to revive her and charge out. Debt repayed! :police:
But other than that, my most epic moments are, when I am last one standing, running and shooting like crazy with banshee on my tail, almost having heart attack(I am sooo not calm and composed type), knowing all others are watching whether I will make it or not. And I make it....and then we all die two waves later. EPIC FAIL.

I was in a silver at Reactor with geth and we got to wave 10. It was the objective to execute targets, and within the first 30 seconds, all 3 of the other team members went down. The first prime hadnt even gone down yet. I was on my salarian engineer, as usual. I figure, I didnt go through all that just to lose, but I also know that its not like the upload objective, I cant lead the mobs away and upload in peace, and I cant cloak. Decoy is nice, but only when it works. I am also out of missiles, so I cant take the easy way out. So I just run from cover to cover focusing on the targets, and if mobs get too close, drop decoy and run around to another angle. It wasnt actually all that bad in the end, but it felt epic as hell. I probably wouldnt have succeeded on any other character though, the energy drain and the decoy really covered the distance for me.

Fighting the Primes with Salarian engy sounds rough! What weapon(s) did you have?

He was great.
Just like me he seemed pretty lost when we ended up the two of us, totally unprepared, just caught up in events...

But when the bad guys arrived, he just took cover, hold his big gun and shot!
He reminded me of the marines in Aliens (J. Cameron) with their gigantic rifles.

Honestly I don't care about the guy's skills/level or whatever... He was so determined and really tried to play in a wise manner. And hell did it pay off!

Four Guardians in a row with all headshots, one bullet. Alternatively, the same with cannabals.

Or that time when three of my teammates decided to die on the extraction wave, gold, Cerberus, firebase reactor. I decided not to. I was dogged by Phantoms the entire two minutes, with Atlases blocking all of the thin walkways and two of the reactor core doors. I didn't dare stop to shoot, and there were three times I was trapped waiting for tactical cloak to recharge so I could at least ward off the more stupid units.

This was my first gold extraction on that map.

I want to give a noteworthy mention to the random who stuck with me for half a dozen games this afternoon, didn't make note of his gamertag, but i wish i had, he varied between Turian Soldier and Drell Adept whilst i went with Human Vanguard or Quarian Inf. Sadly he glitched mid game and everyone else told him to quit, i wanted him to stay cause although we wouldn't get full extraction he'd still get credits. But he left, and now i will never know who he was.... unless i can remember how to do that thing on the sexbox where you see the last people you met online....

Setting down a proximity mine behind me and doing my best matador impression on that Brute I widdled down. Not exactly difficult, but rewarding all the same.

Also, any time you intentionally stagger, as opposed to just luckily, a Banshee that's about to skewer a team mate.

Great story pp1107, congratulations! And congrats to the others as well. Here's mine (got nominated twice for Best Match Ever lol):

Most WTF moment:

First time I tried gold. Random/random and ended up against Reapers in Reactor (which I deeply hate). I have never been impaled by a banshee before, and I swear I had the same reaction you have when you watch someone getting hit on the b*lls in one of those stupid videos...

Most FTW moment:

Last saturday. Decided to plug mi mic for the first time, also the first time I played with a team all using mic, and even a girl And first time I soloed a wave on Gold. It went like this:
So, I wanted to join a random/random gold match and ended in the middle of hell: Firebase Reactor (did I already mention today that I hate that map?). Reapers (of course...). Wave 10 (oh God...). Someone must have ragequitted, so I took his place.

I immediately noticed 3 red outlines, 2 already with skulls with the 3rd bleeding out the second after I arrived. Bad.
They were in the reactor room. Very bad.
In the same room of an upload area objective. Very, very bad.
Almost at the end of the upload but with 18 seconds left on the timer.
And the screaming, God... Banshees. Many of them.
So I switched to my Cobra and rocket barraged the hell out of the reactor core with my first missile, the stairs coming in from the opposite side with another and used the last to clear a path from the drop point to the room.
Switched back to my Black Widow and heard one of the guys: <<dafuq?>>
I cleared my throat and... <<Cavalry's here, gentlemen!!!>> and headed in to complete the upload. Done.
Immediatlely after I hear this girl screaming in joy and shouting: <<It's the Alliance! Thank the Goddess!!!>>
and the other two going <<Woooooooooooo!!!>> and <<Hell yeah!!!>>.
I felt like a big damn hero[smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/w00t.png[/smilie],
then proceeded to kite the remaining mobs around and murdered them one
headshot after another, with my teammates cheering me with an <<ooooooooooo-OH-LEEEEEE'>> for every downed baddie.

Then the wave ended and we regrouped to beat the living s**t out of them raining rockets on them and dropping them like flies with headshots and powers. Full extraction.

God, best game EVER.

 Hi there,

There are, on some rare occasions, moments that please you so much and makes you say:
"DAMN.... That's what I call gaming!"

Somehow you feel the way you would for any kind of great accomplishment in your everyday life (sports, job...).

I had one of those epic moments yesterday, and I take this opportunity to start this thread of epicness.

First let me say I'm not a great player, get correct results in Silver but still struggle in Gold (which I rarely play).

So yesterday I happened to host several games in a row (random Silver). There was one player who had not quit since he joined the party, Human Soldier level around 10 with a Revenant. I can tell the guy was struggling to get along with this difficult setup (difficult IMO when you're not an awesome player) but he was doing what he could, reviving, reaching objectives... etc.

Then the next game starts and 2 players leave right before 1st wave begins, leaving me and the guy mentioned before (let's call him the Dude B) ) on our own. We were dropped in FB Ghost against geth. I had my Asari Adept.

I was willing to quit since there was absolutely no way we could handle this, but.... I don't know... the Dude had not quit for several games and he didn't here, so I was like: "Okay, let's give it a shot, maybe we can reach wave 7-8 if we're lucky with the objectives, it's good practice anyway I guess..."

So here we go, me with biotic explosions as primary weapons, and the Dude holding the line (Hold the line!) with his Revenant.
He did not seem to know what was going on, where to take position since we're only 2 in this boat..... basically what to do. And honestly I didn't know better, I had never played with just one squadmate so far.

I'm usually totally mute on public game, but this time.... along with the fact I was a bit drunk.....   I just went crazy on the mic!

"OH GOD!"
"VERY NICE!"
"RUN!"
...

First waves were okay, I don't remember what was the first objective but nothing terrible.
Things start to get a lot tougher on wave 5-6. The Dude has hard time replusing pyros and hunters (but he holds the line!).

Second objective is Upload... Damn! I'm terrible at this thing against geth, and with only the 2 of us.... WTF?!
I'm doing my best to make everything bioexplode around me, but we're soon overwhelmed by pyros and hunters, start a revival chain, and when we're both down I tell the Dude: "Let it go... that was a nice try!" Anyway our bodies are surrounded by pyros and hunters, so we're doomed.

... But the guy does not give up! He uses medigel and, somehow, manages to revive me (how the hell...) and, a few explosions later, we actually get to clear the area.

At this point, I'm thinking: "Great, we could be able to reach wave 10" and start to.... well, have faith!

We struggle and eventually get to wave 10. Objective is hacking. Not bad!
But things go bad once again and we both end up down while running for our lives. I'm pretty sure at this point the Dude had no medigel left. But this time I refused to give up, medigel, somehow manage to draw the cobra and clean the room, wake up the Dude, and we're on our way.

Last hacking device is a piece of epicness that totally made my day.

The device is located near the LZ, in the building on the right of it.
I'm the one hacking and the Dude takes cover at the window and unleashes hell on pyros and hunters grouping outside the building and shooting at the window (I don't know if he killed many but that looked so damn cool anyway!).
While hacking, I'm watching if we're not flanked and see rocket troopers approaching the room from inside the buildings. Obviously the Dude could not catch them, so I literally scream on the mic:
"BEHIND YOU!!!!!"

The tenth of a second that follows, the Dude then does an epic rolling strafe move and laughs the crap out of me!

Obective complete, we run for our lives and eventually clear the wave.

We hold position rather far from the LZ during the last wave, moved to another spot, and so on, bioexploding and ramboing everything we could. The Dude went down in the last run to the LZ but no f****n' way I was letting him behind. Out of rage, I detonate everything that stands between me and his body and revive him.

... And then we RUN!

We take cover by the boxes on the LZ, the "boogeys" are far enough, they cannot harm us anymore...

WE DID IT!!!

I can't exactly remember what I said on the mic when I saw the Full Extraction award but..... oh man..... I was so crazy!

I'm pretty sure you guys have your own tale of epicness :)

Let it be known!
:wizard:

OP, 2 Things:

1.  Good job using your mic and coordinating AND keeping morale up.
2.  I hope you added "The Dude" to your friends list.  Sounds like someone who, while needing to develop skills further (which isn't really that big of a deal), *IS* a clutch player regardless.  "The Dude" will only get better from here on in.

That was amazing. Wish I could have seen it.

Finished wave 10 kill objective in under 40 secs on gold, thank you missile users :D

Getting picked up by a phantom next thing I see is a headshot and hear a "you're welcome." Who says vanguards and infiltrators can't get along?

It feels great. It´s what makes multiplayer so much fun for me. Every match is different, every fight is different and then you have those special moments of connection, when you play with total strangers, but somehow, right there and then, you are buddies under fire, having each others back. :)

This is copied from another thread I posted in at the request of the OP, as he thought it belonged here. I agree!

I promoted my engineers last night as I wanted to respec multiple of them. Bought a couple of PSPs, but didn't manage to pull an Engineer card (of course, never when you want one).

So I took the GE into a silver match at level 1. Figured with decent weapons, a turret and overload, I could contribute and get through a round, leveling up faster. Much to my surprise, I jump into a lobby with a Lvl 18 Krogan Soldier, a Level 20 Krogan Vanguard and another Level 1 GE. As soon as I saw that, I figured the host would leave or one of us would get kicked. Instead everybody readied up and off we went.

Everything was actually going very well all the way until Wave 9. We were on Dagger versus Cerburus. Both Krogans went down early in the round. One to a Phantom, and the other to a stomp execution. I immediately figure that we are hosed, two Level 1 characters against a Silver Wave 9, no way. The other GE and I start moving together. He must not have taken Overload with his free point, as I never saw him use it. But I couldn't believe how effective we were. I would OL a troop, staggering it while he blasted it. One of us would drop a turret to give us a quick heal, the other would launch the turret into oncoming enemies to delay/harass them while we concentrated on engaging only 1 or 2 at a time. There were a couple of close moments with Phantoms, but by circling them around the snipers next, we were able to keep them confused about which they were targeting and take them down. We were able to finish the wave with each of us only going down once, and being immediately revived by the other.

I've got a lot more respect for what a pair of GEs can do together now. And it's up there in the most fun I've had in a single wave so far.

Most of my "epic gaming" moments come when i get a good string of headshots with the carnifex. Probably the most satisfying chain culminated in a rolling missile dodge immediately followed by a headshot on a cloaked phantom. Yeah it was more luck than pure skill but it was totally a "you aren't the only one that took tumbling classes as a kid you sword-wielding wannabe ninja" moment... if you know what i mean

Some phantoms just can fly skyhigh with biotic explosion - literally. I try to follow one with my eye but it vanished. Temmates also wonder that Phantoms can do that. Some troopper also fly across the whole batlefield. Why banshees do not fly? they only recoils backwards a litle.

My favorite moment so far was a biotic explosion of a bunch of Cerberus dudes running on the high rail in the Giant map. When my throw detonated my warp, those dudes went from a high place to a much higher place. I think I almost died because I was looking up to watch them.

First kill streak with a cluster grenade vs. a horde of geth troopers. That was nice.

Always epic: Blocking a trooper' death stomp from across the map with a vanguard.

Soloing half a wave and saving the game is always cool, but these moments also were:

- First time playing as a melee GI on FB Glacier. Killed about 9 enemies at once in the spawn point;
- Killstreak with two Inferno Grenades and bleeding Ballistic Blades - they just melted;
- Two Phantoms killed with a single Widow shot;
- Explosive Ballistic Blades on a Phantom, Falcon Punch, in the middle of the animation a companion strips her shields, her head explodes, she flies on the wall and her body explodes.

last man standing on a Geth silver run cornered into yhe last scrap of cover in the LZ with 30 secs left on the clock. I'd just used my last cobra to try to save my last teammate from a crowd of pyros and hunters AND a prime. Dropped them, but he bled out b4 i cud revive him. 1st time using my phaeston 3 with my Turian Sentinel no way to run I hunker behind my crate then proceed to OL,headshot, and grab melee for dear life! Clock times out, Geth explode all around me, I get that satisfying sole survivor pop-up, drop my ps3 controller on the couch then laugh my **** off in dis belief.

I love this thread.

First time playing silver, with a class I leveled up mostly through cards, before I understood N7 rankings. I was playing with 3 randoms, (all three had rankings 4x mine... So impressed at the time,) and shaking in my quarian boots because I, at least, didn't want to make the MIGHTY PLAYERS' game suck. Playing against geth. (I usually play an AA against Cerberus, unless I want to curse a lot.) I'm doing well enough following and reviving them, since they aren't interested in anything besides headshots.

All three go down in wave 8. Total silence-- no one's watching my back. I turned my mic off so they couldn't hear me whimpering. It took me forever, but I survived and cleared the wave. I used all four ops packs, but didn't need a medigel.

I swear, I got up and celebrated like I'd won the Super Bowl. First one to die in round 9, bled out while a teammate stood ON my character and sniped; wasn't even mad.
