I love this thread.

First time playing silver, with a class I leveled up mostly through cards, before I understood N7 rankings. I was playing with 3 randoms, (all three had rankings 4x mine... So impressed at the time,) and shaking in my quarian boots because I, at least, didn't want to make the MIGHTY PLAYERS' game suck. Playing against geth. (I usually play an AA against Cerberus, unless I want to curse a lot.) I'm doing well enough following and reviving them, since they aren't interested in anything besides headshots.

All three go down in wave 8. Total silence-- no one's watching my back. I turned my mic off so they couldn't hear me whimpering. It took me forever, but I survived and cleared the wave. I used all four ops packs, but didn't need a medigel.

I swear, I got up and celebrated like I'd won the Super Bowl. First one to die in round 9, bled out while a teammate stood ON my character and sniped; wasn't even mad.

Eh, congrats. I know the feeling, trust me. Read my post above.
@lexiconicle: that's flattering, thank you! I play on PC, but chances are we'll run into each other sooner or later in game.

Firebase giant

Was on silver relvling a SI after I had promoted it was at the top of the stairs with my javi 2 scoped in at the doorway that's str8 across from the stairs. We was facing Cerb in wave 5 or 6 anyways 2 guardians appeared in the doorway and lined up behind each other ez 1bullet 2kills moment little did I know 2 engineers and another guardian was also headed that way. I line up the mailslot shot pull trigger "delay fire" both engineers and the 3rd guardian fall in line with the first 2 guardians the javi fires and boom all 5 drop from HS with 1 bullet earning a killstreak I yelled so loud in the Mic I heard the echo from the other players tvs.

One in a million shot moment and I had no way to SS or fraps being on xbox

Another moment was saving a teammate not once but twice in back to back waves from a banshee OHK by BE staggering only 2 drop both times cuz I turned to save them instead of trying to clear the mara/caniballs that was shooting at me

FBWGG (yeah yeah, I like credits shut up). On wave 6 one of our guys dropped. On, I think it was wave 8, a new guy joined in and instantly started whining on his mic about how he was stuck in an FBWGG game and how much he hated camping, that camping was for noobs, ect. If he hated camping so much he could have just left to look for another game. He issued a challenge that 'Anyone who is pro can float spawn points with me, anyone who stays in the room is a noob.' I've never made it a habit of caring what random people on the internet think of me, so I stayed in the room while the 3 of them decided to float. Within 30 seconds of wave 9 spawning, all 3 of them were dead.

Of course the 'pro' player couldn't be bothered to use a medigel, and even with cloak I wasn't going to just run up solo to 2 geth primes + handful of pyros to try to rez the 3 of them. If they can't be bothered to use a medigel, I can't be bothered to use a rocket. Besides, why reward negative behavior?

So I solo the wave with my GI playing ring around the rosy with the geth primes until I have all the little guys taken care of, I use 2 or 3 rockets dragging the group through wave 10 (hacking objective on top of the ladder), and we pull off a full extraction in the end.

It should have been obvious looking at the scores of the other 2 players that floating was a bad idea. 1 was a krogan with a sniper, the other was a turian sentinel who wasn't horrible but certainly wasn't good.

Four of started cerbs on reactor gold, and one dropped out wave five. None of used mics up until that point, and we held out near the LZ. No one died after that. At all. Feels good man. FULL EXTRACTION

I have to give kudos to the Krogan Vanguard who kept reviving us on Giant/Geth/Silver earlier. We got overwhelmed and wiped the match, but he/she deserves special mention for holding the line. You were epic, my friend.

Was farming some creds of FBWGG, wave 10, disarm objectives. Last objective is right behind me in lower room. All 3 mates go down moments apart. I'm thinking "omfg how am I gonna get through on my own?" So I just stayed behind cover: grab, grab, grab... like 20+ as cool as that is I am running out of time to disarm. "K, here goes" I'm thinking. Missle. Cleared most enemies but a couple were nearby but RT's could not rocket me due to cover angle. Disarmed obj. Did another 15+ grabs but then I see some hunters sneaking around the left. Missle ftw!! "Whew!!"

Firebase glacier gold on my krogan vanguard (Brand), Most of my team was at the top of the stairs of the landing zone camping and at the doorway for cover. I glance over and I see a wave of yellow geth with some shimmering cloaked figures mixed in comming across the area on the left not far from that ammo box.

I go in swinging, ping ponging off pyros and hunters with biotic charge to restore my barriers and keep from getting hemmed in as I shotgun and melee one after another. Before I know it im knee deep in geth guts and the wave ends, I hear someone over the mics say "Where did the krogan go?"

%@#$#@ no one saw anything.

Last minute heroics on wave 11 are always awesome. Anytime going toe-to-toe vs. a banshee on silver or gold with my AV (though I rarely play her now because of the charge death glitch).

But the most awesome time for me was still doing hack objective at the top of the stairs on fbw/g/g, and using my AV to ram the enemies away from the circle. Two guys were down, third guy was helping me and reviving the others, while I charged and just barely stayed alive.

Longest 2 or so minutes of my ME3 MP life. It was maybe my third or fourth gold game at the time.

I had to practically solo wave 7 on a gold match earlier. There were 2 vanguards who went down rather quickly (one tried to save the other but died himself) and the geth engineer got cornered. So all that was left was my krogan sentinel.

I muhahaha'd the last enemy (brute) without firing any shots or using any powers. Felt good man.

Its wave 10 disarm objectives in hydra with geth and the third objective is smack in the middle of the field on some crates. me and another guy dash to it and he gets it first then I see a trooper taking pot shots at him. I literally stand in the line of fire covering him till he finish and I die then he revives me. Not a truly epic moment but something I wanted to share.

Also a little of a moment with my SE, I was testing it out because I only ever used it in farming map W/G/G so I was doing a random map, Geth/Reactor but I don't know if it was gold or silver but I was in in the beginning area at the top of the ladder looking down and I see one of my squad down there and he have 3 hunters and a pyro and I think a rocket trooper barreling down on him and a sec later it say squad mate down. I put out my decoy down there and hop down the ladder and sulk behind these to pillars. I circle around them as the all try to decimate my decoy and literally revive him about a few feet behind the whole group. I stand up ED the masses and start decimating them with my arc pistol. i was hilarious fun.

it was at the lunch hour... i was playing several rounds with some random guys or girls i encountered in the lobby, i was the only infiltrator. We were taking names and kicking ass when suddenly one of my teammates died.
I activated my tactical cloak and ran to revive him, i did it. But then in the far side of the map another teammate died... so i activated cloak again and ran like if satan were after me. But just when i started running, the guy i just revived died again... i turned to revive him, but i saw it...it was a phantom instant kill.
So i left him behind with great sorrow (i was the medic of the team in every match), and ran to revive the other teammate...just when i realize that another teammate died while trying to revive the fallen one. So i ran faster...and when i reached them, they bleed out.
I was the only one alive.
It was the first time that happened to me... alone, with a class i rarely play. Surrounded by cerberus soldiers, engineers and a phantom.
I knew everyone was counting on me.. so we can reach round 11... so i startedrunning to take higher round. i Meleed some enemies in my way, reached a cover... freezed some and killed them... shoot and run, changing my position so i cannot be flanked easily.
They almost got me a couple of times...but that cloak is very usefull i used it several times to escape certain death.
And then... there were only me and the phantom. Never before i fighted a phantom alone... but somehow i managed to shoot it right in the head and that just got his shield off. So i use freeze her as fast as i could and shoot her again.
The phantom was dead and the match was saved.
We all survived to see another day...

Then there was another story...with the same team the same day. We were on Condor... round 8... hacking objective. I was in the opposite side of the map where the hacking was running...so i can attract the enemies to me and not to the team..
it was a solid strategy... but one of the teammates died... and there i went again. Running to revive him... when i reached him, another teammate died... i ran again and revived him too... and so on... We were surrounded by geth pyros... geth hunters and a prime.... in a corner of the map with little cover.
I managed to revive them all... and they managed to finish the hacking....

Those were my best moments so far. Its a pitty we didnt talked too much... but i really enjoyed the match.

A vanguard lagged like hell and went to the skies for some reason during the Nova animation and was stuck for a couple of matches till the11th wave (was wave 8 I think, surprised he didn't quit.).

Everything went to hell in the last wave on 20 seconds mark and everyone died from Banshee and Brute slaughter; all of which had a little health to spare.

Miracle strike when the Vanguard went down EXACTLY at the spawn point and killed every single boss enemies in the vicinity and he revives 2 of the 3 dudes (myself included & me reviving the other dude) in the last second, getting us the Full Extraction bonus. Everyone was mute during the match but at the lobby, everyone burst out laughing (except me who doesn't have mic.)

the most epic moment I had in multi.

I remember one of my more recent matches: Silver, Reactor, Reapers (A combo that can only go brilliantly).

I was playing as a LV20 Geth Engi-Medic, armed with a GPR and GPSMG. As for my squaddies, I had a Krogan Soldier (who, if memory serves, was toting a Graal or Claymore, alongside a Revenant), and Human Sentinel (I forget his weapon loadout). We had a 4th player as a Human Soldier, but he dropped out early in Wave 1.

As a whole, the match was...decent. I often bunked with the Sentinel, and we'd tag-team the burlier enemies (GPR/SMG to stagger them, while the Sentinel picked them off with Tech Combos combined with my Chain Overload; with my Turret keeping up our shields and providing suppressive fire). The Krogan had a habit of getting up close, headbutting the odd Ravager, and using his Shotgun to great effect.
Despite our differing tactics, we always stuck together during Hack and Device Missions, Turret included (where I go, Turret-Buddy always follows). Sometimes the Krogan would get incapped by a Brute or Banshee's grab, but the Sentinel and I would push through.

The awesomesauce wasn't served until Extraction though. We all huddled at the Extraction Point, but the Krogan got mobbed and instakilled by a squad of Banshees and Brutes, coupled with suppressing groups of Marauders and Husks. The Sentinel and I were forced back to the left lower-area next to the Point, where we were overrun by, well, must have been about 4 Banshees, 2 Brutes, and a Platoon of Cannibals and Mauraders.
The Sentinel went down first, collapsing close to the point with no Medigel. I soon went down after him, all the way by the fence. I, however, was not about to give up.
With about 15 seconds remaining, I 'gelled myself, and drew out my Cobra. My shields went down almost instantly due to the sheer number of enemies just razing me. Seeing an opportunity, I charged into the crowd Brutes and Banshees, aimed at my feet, and-
*KERSPLOSION*
ALL of the Brutes and Banshees just dropped to the ground. My single rocket had just taken out 3 Brutes (another joined when we were overrun), and all 4 Banshees! I rolled out of the way of the Mauraders and collapsing Brutes, revived my Sentinel-friend, and we dashed for the Point with literally 3 seconds left.
Our Krogan didn't make it, but we did.

And they say Geth aren't heavy-duty classes.

Awesome thread, and story OP.  I have one game I thought was truly epic.

I'm also a mediocre player at best, but I can usually top-2 in Silver and
at least pull my weight *a bit* in Gold (at least not require carrying).  This was awhile ago though.  At the time I was only able to pull my weight in Silver.

The Setting

It was a dark stormy night.... err I mean it was  FB:Ghost vs Reapers. on Silver

Team was
- a Kroguard who was awesome (N7= ~1000)*
- Me: a Salarian Infil
- two others.  I forget their classes -- soldier/engi maybe, nothing that was great vs Reapers --  but they were pretty decent players. Roughly about my level skill-wise, probably better. (We were all N7 150-30 ish).

Only the Kroguard was really, really good.   Except he seemed like he was just playing silver for fun.  Basically just messing around, not hitting the spacebar to be revived, or using medigel at all, etc.

The Crescendo

Wave 9: Hacking objective**.  Team gets swarmed.  All of them bite the dust but me.

The big problem (in addition to the dead team) is that Firebase Ghost is tiny and wave 9 means respawning Banshee's Brutes, etc.   So the only way to complete this was to run in circles around the whole map, drawing them away from the hack circle so I could stand there a bit until they show up.  Once they show, run around in a circle again and again until hack can be completed.

So I'm playing very defensively.  Running, hiding, and generally taking forever.  I end up using all 4 Medigels and Ops survival packs but somehow manage to complete the objective.  It then took me forever (probably 10 more minutes) to clear the remaining reapers.  It took so long I thought everyone had probably went afk or left the mission by now.  I mean how boring it must have been for them to watch me for almost 15 mins try and solo all that.

Epic Team

To my utter shock, the whole team stayed.  On wave 10 they got up and got to killing right away.  Not sure how, but this was another hacking objective.  This time, I bit the dust early in the wave when two reapers jumped me.  With no medigel and laying at the feet of 2 Banshee's I was a goner.  Off to spec mode.

But this is where the team showed how awesome they are.  Every single one of them stepped up their game and started owning like bawsses.  They completed wave 10, and then all 4 of us completed 11 for full extraction.

After that the team stuck together sveral more matches and worked together like a finely tuned machine -- with no mics.

What felt so epic was that these guys were willing to hang in there. When they saw someone trying hard to work for the team,  they stepped it up and started doing the same.  Especially that Kroguard: once he started playing, holy crap he was kicking butt.

Anyways, here's to you, team who stuck it out and stepped up! B)

* Only mention N7 here as it mostly matched the skill levels for this particular team
** I think W9 was hacking, can you have 2 hacking in a row?  My memory might be playing tricks on me here.

There was one time half my team got downed on wave 10 and there was just seconds to finish the upload and then some poor chap got downed but I couldn't save him, luckly we just had a small portion of the bar left. So after finishing -with 3 seconds to spare- I had to take on an Atlas, 2 Phantoms, 3 Troopers, 2 Centurions, a Guardian, Nemesis and a a Engineer.
That was my first solo and I'm damn proud it.

You're welcome, but I think you've earned it - whether it was jammy luck or genuine heroic material.
