Would've made 'em myself, but my PC is still blue screened and I can't access Photoshop. Pro-enders need to be supportive of the Catalyst in my opinion as I feel his character was pretty unique and it was really the lack of decisions making an impact that made the ending so bad. So. Banners.

"I SUPPORT THE CATALYST"
"THE CATALYST DESERVES A BETTER ENDING"
"THE CATALYST DESERVES ARTISTIC INTEGRITY"

I don't mind the principle of an AI controlling/managing the Reapers. But I want to talk to it. It want to learn more about it and the Reapers and why it is doing what it is doing. Where it came from. Unfortunately, Bioware was lazy (used the "Lots of speculation!" cop out) and had a completely one-note, scripted conversation with it. I want to be able to tell the Catalyst that its logic and "beliefs" are crap. There should have been some charm/intimidate options there.

I'll give you the fact that he's unique. The leader/controller of the Reapers? Holy crap! That could have been awesome.

It's just that he, and the last ten minutes, goes so far against themes, characters, lore, and logic that this effort is doomed to failure.

I can understand some people want to support the ending (I don't), but you want to support the biggest narrative failure in BioWare history?
I'm beginning to lose faith in humanity.

Oh I completely agree.  They should do the "Dark Energy" ending that Drew Karpyshyn conceived of.  That made much more sense and was far more consistent with the themes and technology of the Mass Effect universe.  Also, it sounds like it would have been better written than what Mac Walters and company came up with.

Ehh, from what I've read of the Dark Energy ending, it's still a bit of a clusterfu-.... Charlie Foxtrot ending.  Just make the Crucible the dreaded "Giant Off Button for the Reapers".  At least then it'll be coherent.

You want to tell an omniscient being that he isn't right.

You assume that he's an omniscient being.

If he was, he would have found a better solution.

Wrong time to use that. That's supposed to be used after an attempt at a serious threat that falls flat (like Kai Leng's fake e-mail). The way you used it just makes you look flippant. I actually laughed at the happy birthday line. 'Twas funny to me.

The DE ending is equally stupid; saying Dark Energy is destroying the universe is like saying cells are destroying organic life. It's utter nonsense, and I'm not sorry they scrapped it. Unfortunately, they just replaced it with more nonsense.
What most people also don't realize is that the Crucible and Catalyst could still exist with the DE ending, except now you get 2 choices instead of 3.

You assume you know better than an omniscient being. Omniscient beings don't operate on fallible, emotional human morality, homeslice. This is why you guys didn't understand the ending.

Who says the Catalyst is omniscient?  We never see him actually do something.

...

Are you serious here?

Why would you assume he is omniscient? He created a flawed system. As he himself admited. And jsut because he created the Reapers, doesn't mean he's god.

They have no artistic integrity though. Bioware stated that we wouldn't get an "A, B or C" ending, but gave us just that. How can you claim "artistic integrity" when you blatantly went against your own word? Failed artistic vision is failed.

You don't have to call something God because it's omniscient.
