I've wound
up hurting myself a bit and I'm away from home, but I'll have my gaming
laptop tomorrow and can try doing one of the ending options myself
then...
Playing ME3 can be dangerous.
Get better!
Hah! I wish, at worst that'd be RSI, I've managed to wreck my right leg

Essentially, during the summer I live somewhere with a lot of steep hills & sandy beaches, so I have one of these:
http://www.zen-speed...ctionsports.jpg^That + first flight of the summer + bad aim + rocks = F**&!^%*@**ING F*&%*&^&*&"^&^£***&^
Could be worse, I'll be back on it again in a few weeks

Well I'm a sad panda after posting my findings
I don't get it. You edited EMS but it stayed the same? Was the editing somehow reflected on the War Room console?
I
loaded up my game today that I posted in an earlier post. I copied it
when I got to the beam. I then reloaded it each time to complete the
game as control, synth and destroy. The destroy game did NOT give me
the breath scene. I then loaded it up again but I edited the EMS score
value. The same game save with the edited EMS score DID give me the
breath scene. Each time the game ended however it just reloaded the
legend save - which had the original value for my EMS score instead of
the few hundred thousand I edited it to have.
If the Normandy you
were put on is the same save file as the one that you just did the
ending CS with and stuff then the EMS value should stay the same since
the value was edited.
Basically put. The moment the game saves
before you attack the Illusive mans base is the game that is loaded upon
completion of the game. The legend file isnt modified and so no data
is recorded on it after completion.
The ending we have was the
original ending they intended. There was no planned continuation of the
story. They wanted it the way they had it so that you could speculate
on the ending. Everyones ending WOULD be the same and yet everyones
perception of what they saw would lead them to different conclusions.
Canonising each persons story on an individual basis where you pretty
much made the rest of the story up in your head based on your
speculation.
Its brilliant but retarded at the same time.
Mystery Solved. Nothing else to see here folks.
It's not loading off the legendsave file though? It loads from the "Chaptersave" one or whichever one it is it creates when you start the cerberus base mission.
Also, the LegendSave file isn't edited on any subsequent ending playthrough with the same character regardless....
I'd
still like to look into this a bit further, will have a go playing
through the save you put up yesterday - if you put up the LS you've got +
the first choice you tried making, I'll try a different one and do a
direct hex compare to see what's different. Failing that I'll be doing some more ME3 over the next few days so I'll post up a save I'm getting towards the end of...
