 Operation Virmire or HOLD THE LINE

4   4 man teams work on a massive map to defeat the enemy. 

One map:

3 teams in different areas working together holding the Line while the other team goes thru the back door to blow up the base.

Yes someone stays and sets the bomb up and wait for it to blow up.


Yes Major Kirrahe does the Hold the Line speech for the 4 teams.

I'd like to see mission-type matches on a very large map. I'm thinking along the lines of fighting to one area for an objective or two before moving to the next area. New objectives could be providing sniper support to NPC squads across an uncrossable area or all four players having to take care of four devices at once. A statement from Major Kirrahe before a hold the line objective would be very motivating.

The missions available could change every so often with a wide variety of objectives so players would get some variety.

Addition:  I think weekly events could be made out of mission-style matches. I'm sure there are plenty of great ways to make things work, but I don't have any ideas at this time. Maybe a map or two with objectives that are fixed during the event.

While that is pretty a pretty cool idea and I would love to see that. I think the OP was about the opperations like what we are doing this week, ie opperation sliencer.

I would like to see something different than the current "kill X of emeny X".
One cool one that wouldn't really take too much time for them to implement would be to donate X ammount of equipment. (rockets, medigels, opps packs, thermal rounds).

I hope to see they recycle certain SP maps, or at least, certain areas of a map. As an objective, to fight through the abandoned area or derelict ships and collect information/resources (Which becomes credits for the squad) as they move from point A to point B.

There are 8 arena maps now, but it gets stale after a while, especially knowing sweet spots to bunker down at each map.

I think the idea that some of the people posted could be pretty darn interesting.

Wave 1 you fight your way into an open arena for waves 2 and 3, wave 4 you fight your way towards a different open arena for waves 5 and 6, wave 7 you fight your way into a final arena that contains waves 8 9 and 10. Then you have to extract your way back to the beginning of the mission wave 11.

Operation Spartan: Kill X Reaper units. Full extraction of four Turians on Firebase Condor.
Operation Nomad: Kill X Geth units. Full extraction of four Quarians on Firebase Hydra.
Operation Machina: Kill X Cerberus units. Full extraction of four Geth on Firebase White.

If the Firebase Goddess and Firebase Jade rumors are true, then also add Operation Amazon for Reaper kills with the Asari and Operation Shadow for Cerberus kills with the Salarians.

Mostly I'd like to see more operations tailored to things that aren't just "kill a bunch of this one unit", like representing the different fronts of the war. I tried to come up with different realistic, canon-related scenarios. Well except for Machina. Machina is just a playful jab at farming (which I do when I really need money but I mostly stick to Silver. No hate)

I couldn't think of any really good ideas for the Drell or Batarians.

Those are all brilliant suggestions. Especially Machina. I run my friends through a Geth/White/Gold whenever the end of an N7 weekend rolls around and they need help.
