All of Mass Effect 3 was a dream. Happy now?

Where else have you seen these plant? And why are the called dreamplants in the code?

The planet is a symbol that life will begin anew in the new galaxy after the end of the Reaper War. The devs have said this themselves. All this shows is that you don't have to take what happened on the planet literlly; it is a symbol.

1. Link.
2.Why is it called dream plant?

1. I am not scouring thousands of Twitter posts. But the symbolism is pretty obvious. Why would they choose such a lush green planet, instead of say, a desert?

2. Because the player is supposed to take it as symbolism.

Why isn't my interepretation as valid as IT?

1. Why would you even think anyone will beleive that bull with out proof.
2.Why is it not called hope plants then?

"Building on their research, Exec Producer Casey Hudson and the team are hard at work on a number of game content initiatives that will help answer the questions, providing more clarity for those seeking further closure to their journey. You’ll hear more on this in April. We’re working hard to maintain the right balance between the artistic integrity of the original story while addressing the fan feedback we’ve received. This is in addition to our existing plan to continue providing new Mass Effect content and new full games, so rest assured that your journey in the Mass Effect universe can, and will, continue."

So,your point?

It wasn't planned.

That doesn't make that clearin that statement. If it's planned they would not say any reflecting to it being planned.

"This is in addition to our existing plan." = Not planned.

If itwas planned , they would never tell us.

perhaps Bioware first made the plants for the dream sequences, then when they made the ending they reused the foilage because it looked nice.

Just a possibility.

You're right - all of the DA2 levels are totally unique, too! Any claims that DA2 is a cave simulator are totally unfounded, btw.

Agein...what other place do you see these plants?

Presumably, the *dream* sequences, duh. If not, they were probably intended to be used in that scene but cut. You know, the bit with the burning kid? Try actually playing the game, they're kinda hard to miss.

Ultimately, it's Occam's razor - do I believe a common sense explanations (Bioware devs, like everybody else on the planet, reuse code and art assets) or some contrived conspiracy theory (IT).

IT is like any other conspiracy theory. To a believer, everything and anything is evidence to support it.

Remember this the next time someone says an alien kidnapped and probed them last night then the government covered it all up and you laugh at them.

so conspiracy theories are like religions then?

what makes you so sure the IT isn't true?

To be honest, I personally reject it and find the idea of it somewhat disgusting. IT at least has some kind of relevance to what's actually happening, but if it's supposed to be 'symbolic' it would have no relevance and provide no closure whatsoever. No, as long as I have even a little bit of trust in Bioware I refuse to believe that. I'd rather believe that it's just a product of extremely bad writing and rushed development.

Either they would've put it in the game, or they would've added it later. Either way it doesn't fall into the category of "additional plans" post-release... Does it?

You not understanding the name of the code is to makesure it's correctly placed. They would rename it if they were using it somewhere else not keep the same name of the previous planned location on it...

Hurrm, I wonder what was up.

Towards OP;

Since the 'dream plants' are with Joker, doesn't that mean he and the entire Normandy crew are totally Indoctrinated, even EDI, since they see these mystical plants, because Shepard is dead by then?
