The Diablo 3 players will leave to rave for a week, and then complain and moan about the all the "game-breaking bugs", "whaaaah, I maxed out my character and ain't getting good loot", not to mention server issues running that game.

I can.... gasp...... play both.
Although to be fair Diablo has 12 years (or 15 if you want to start with the beginning) of anticipation on it's side.

*slaps* NO! You cannot play both! The law of gaming demands you focus your attention on a singular game!
...I honestly don't see all the hype about Diablo III...if you have no friends then it just becames another generic Dungeon runner game. Even WITH other people it still kinda looks boring :/

What OP doesn't realize that the phoenix characters are actually ME3 MP itself rising from the ashes of crappy people leaving.

Diablo 3 isn't made by bioware. Blizzard actually fixes their bugs because they care for the quality of their game. Otherwise diablo 3 would've been released years ago and played like crap.
