I certainly plan on playing Diablo 3, but I don't buy any game when it first comes out. I generally wait a year until the game gets cheaper, they come out with better patches, expansions, G.O.T.Y. editions, etc. My plan is to do ME3 multiplayer and Battlefield on 360 until the ME3 "extended cut" comes out, then I'm gonna get a suped-up PC and start catching up on the good PC games.
I get what you mean by that. And that's probably why I want to kill myself because of buying ME3. I had a blast in ME2. Man that game was epic. ME3 was just a huge disappointed because I had such high expectations for it. Kind of wish I was smart enough to wait till maybe next year to buy ME3. I swear, the majority of the games I buy on release are huge disappointments. But the blizzard titles tend to be the opposite. I wish I played wow back in vanilla but now wow just sucks these days and the game changed completely.

But I agree with D3, mind numbing time waster. I tried the beta and thought this will be the 2nd worst product Blizzard ever made. The first being WoW.
You know it's true
WoW was actually good at the beginning, then they decided to dumb it down and expect their customers to be as easily entertained as a 2 year old laughing at a blinking light. I really can't stand games that:
1. The company is trying to get the gamers "hooked" as if it's a drug.
2. Get flocked by 13 year pimpled nerd boys that thinks the worlds existence is contingent on their e-peen/epics.
3. expects the IQ of the gamer to be below that of a grapefruit. I won't act like a grapefruit! I'm almost offended by how completely thoughtless some games are. These games are blatantly marketed to morons and tries to make the situation worse.
Sadly to me, D3 looks like such a game. Might as well play whack-a-mole with a ketchup bottle (for the unrealistic gore kiddies love)
Edit: One thing I have to give Blizzard, it's the respect for high quality games. Few bugs, decent patches etc. Plus SC2 is/was awesome.

-Diablo 3 is PC-only
-Therefore ME3 will obviously die
**** logic
In all seriousness, Black Ops 2 and Halo 4 will hurt it way more come annual shooter season 2012. Diablo will be a mere dent in comparison.

Folks in the beta keep telling me Diablo 3 is boring.
We'll see, but for now, I ain't buyin'it.
Of course the beta is boring, it's 1/10 of 1 act repeated for months on end. Basically if you think Diablo 3 is boring, than so is Torch Light, and Path of Exile, and Titan, and every other isometric dungeon crawler because they're all functionally exactly the same. You either like the genre or you don't. While some games are prettier or have different art styles (Daibloe and POE are dark, Torch Light is cartoony), or play more fluidly, at the end of the day they're all about randomized dungeons, randomized loot, and killing an absurd amount of monsters.

I think execution does matter, though it's true it isn't really my genre. Liked Diablo, didn't like Diablo 2. Since it isn't "my thing" it has to be done very well.

Cya! Maybe I will come back someday when Bioware fix the ending.
There was an ending on Multiplayer? And I hope you aren't planning on playing D3 for the story.

Honestly, while I'll be playing D3, I feel quite disappointed how much the game has changed. Completely reduced to an ultra linear game with not much replay value (Higher difficulty and different class, that's all to replay, from open beta impression).

Yeah the "end game" has me confused. But there are still some unknowns of the game. Like we should get some easter egg that is equivalent to the secret cow level. We'll see though. I really hope I am not disappointed because I am expecting A LOT from this game.
