On the PC here. So a only a possible six will be leaving for D3...

Will you be picking up the game Quixal?

What about Guild Wars 2?

Did you ever get TOR?

Eh, viable builds is a crutch anyway. Just kill everything anyway. All I do is play what I want to play, whether it's weak, viable, or overpowered.

Granted that usually means what's awesome, and what's awesome is, apparently, sometime OP.

I actually wasn't planning on getting D3 really. At least not initially. I have a ton of games to play through as it is.

I hear in this game that comes out, there are multiple endings and you control your destiny from the original decisions of your characters in the first 2 games of the trilogy!

Yes, "Goodbye Kitty Online" launches tonight!

I'm sure I'll play D3, but people have a tendency to freak the f*** out every time a Blizzard game comes out, and I really don't get it.  I mean they make decent games, but there are X number of games I like better than any Blizzard game I own.  I think they are highly overrated.

It is possible I will pick up D3. Not at release though. I tend to stall and wait on reviews from those I trust for such things.

Because I am a huge hypocrite, I have already pre-purchased GW2 and had a blast with what little of the beta I have been able to play. Also, I am an altaholic.

I did not buy TOR. I was already playing GW and am poor at splitting time between online games.

The game is going to die if I don't unlock a new class soon.

I've been spamming those superior spectre packs in the hope of getting new classes.

I'm the only person on Bioware who has this problem by the looks of things.
If by july I still only have 7 classes unlocked, I won't bother...

Manifest.
http://social.biowar...lay=multiplayer

You're not the only one. I finally unlocked my Drells over the weekend, but I still don't have either Asari Adept.

Hard to believe there's someone who's gotten screwed over worse than me, but you did it.

Here's my manifest.

Hmm, are you both saying you spent every credit on nothing but Spectre packs?  I hope not.

I worked from the bottom up, buying recruit til my base weapons are near X, then veteran til my uncommons are near X and finally moving to spectre packs.  I think this way is more "efficient".   (Ok, now I have maxed out all but the ultra rares, but I really don't use them much as a power class player; my default loadout for most of my MP games are a Tempest X + Phalanx X @ 200% CD.  Only recently with the maxing out of Carnifax have I started using it to replace the Phalanx, dropping CD to 180%).

Anyway, back to the subject of D3, I will be going to collect my perorder with an ex-collegue in 12 hours or so.  As a SEA player, we'll fall under the NA realms.  I guess I will initially play D3 like mad, but only to figure the story.

At any rate, I won't desert ME3 just like this - I still get my share of fun from it (just had a game as a human Adept on Gold - this was this moment when I was the last one down and not inclined to ress, but the Marauder I caught in a Rank 4 singularity (ie. no DOT) as I dropped died to it (!? Collided with a wall or something), and it was the last one, so I heard the mission failure message as all the team stood up and contined onto the next round) which will definitely be a different from of enjoyment from what I will get from D3.

I will still be plugging ME3 MP (and I will still be screaming at newbies who can't Warp-Throw/Shockwave).

Diablo 3 isn't made by bioware. Blizzard actually fixes their bugs because they care for the quality of their game. Otherwise diablo 3 would've been released years ago and played like crap.

 Actually, Diablo 3(along with dozens of DLCs, including day one) would've been released ages ago, had Blizzard had the same publisher as Bioware...

Played D1 and D2 way back. I have no interest in D3 at the moment. It looks like more of the same.

I encourage everyone that is unhappy with ME3MP to go play something else. I think it will be funner for those of us that stayed and enjoy the game right now. I also bet that some of those that leave will come back to play MP3MP at some point.

I'm waiting for them to give an actual release date before pre-ordering the game, but I plan to pick up GW 2 as well.

Is there PvP in the game? I miss killing my friends.

I think execution does matter, though it's true it isn't really my genre.  Liked Diablo, didn't like Diablo 2.  Since it isn't "my thing" it has to be done very well.

I'm not saying the execution doesn't matter at all. I mean I've seen people that refuse to play Torchlight cause it's too cartoony and they think that all isometric dungeon crawlers should be dark. Hell, the same complaint has been leveled at D3 as a departure from the darker art style of D2.

What I have a hard time believe is that someone could like Torchlight from a GAMEPLAY standpoint while saying they don't like Diablo from a gameplay standpoint. It makes no sense whatsoever. Other than torchlight having a pet companion that can sell your stuff for you how excatly is the core gameplay monumentally different?
Moonphos87 wrote...

I liked both D1 and D2, but D3 is just... I dunno. It's not that its BAD, but it just doesn't have the Diablo feel in terms of gameplay anymore.

I think it's the lack of in-depth customisation, inventry/storage ultilisation, proper hotbars, and the not-so-random generated dungeons.
Don't be vague, what EXACTLY is D3 missing that D1 and D2 had. What is inventoroy/storage utlization EXACTLY? What is a "proper" hotbar? What customization EXACTLY is missing?

Indeed, how it's done is the most important thing. If I wanted to run down the golden brick road into boredom I'll chose D3. The diversity and dynamic of the game is what I find interesting, D3 doesn't seem to offer anything but this:

for(int i=0;i<infinite;i++)
{
    if(button_pressed=1)
           KILL!
     elseif(button_pressed=2)
           KILL!
      elseif(button_pressed=3)
           KILL!
}
Pray tell what isometric dungeon crawler offers you something other kill, kill, or kill? Cause every last one I've played that the's object of the game. Go into randomized dungeon after randomized dungeon, kill everything in site, loot their corpses, find their treasure. The argument would hold more merit if there was some other alternative. What you posted seems to be a condemnation of the genre, not D3 specifically.

Honestly a lot of it just seems to be part of this whole internet thing of hating on anything popular. I mean look at all the Blizzard sucks posts, or the Blizzard haven't made a good game in ages posts. Yeah, they suck, which is why they're EASILY one of the most consistently highly rated gaming companies on the planet right? Why the own the RTS and MMO markets? Why Diablo 3 broke the amazon.com PC presale record? They win on the critical front, they win on the sales front. Haters gonna hate I suppose.

A sophisticated and nuanced review of the game. I'd best cancel my pre-order.

Diablo 3 will devolve into someone unlocking the cow level and people will ONLY play games where there's a cow level involved. All for that elite unique Windforce bow or whatever will be the super awesome elite uniques that will be in D3. That's what happened to D2 at the end of its life... all cow level all the time.

Seriously hate to break it to you, but D3 is not going to be up to snuff. So much was cut from the game to make it quicker to release that it isn't a worthy sequel. I'll be waiting for Torchlight II.
