Javelin is a pain in the ass to line up shots with on moving targets. And pretty much everything is moving unless it's camping behind a wall.

The sick part is, even at level 1 it shines on gold. I outplayed a Salarian Infiltrator with BW X with my Asari Vanguard I tried for fun...

I have it on 7 and it packs 25 shots (24 mag and one in the barrel) with extended magazine.

 I think it is a good sniper rifle, but I suck with it. 
I whip it out on Dagger and shot stuff through the floors. Very entertaining.

Fun gun, but I usually default to a more immediate delivery on Gold. BW, W or Val. I love using it on silver when I'm messing around. I always pack a GSMG with ULM in case things get too close.

I have a Javelin III and a BW II. Much prefer my Widow IX over my Javelin, mostly due to the fact that at level III, the Javelin still has too few shots. Oh, and cause lag tends to really eff me over even moreso thanks to that short charge up before firing.

Its a good weapon due to its enhanced scope and heavy damage, if you can get use to the shot delay

I love it! Paired with ammo power and rail amp it devastates elite units.

I'm with Immortal GI+proxy mines+javi works wonders on gold that and no other sniper rifle can deal so much dmg in one shot on big targets then a javi can. Once you get use to the delay you can do major work with it

I played silver today and i found that Javelin I with Hunter Mode plus cloak can kill Brute in two Shots. Without any equipment modification. I just use extended barrel and clip from weapon Mod. so no rail amp or armor piercing ammo.

the delay with 'watergun sound' make a bit difficult, but i like it, the speed of Aiming pleased me.

and i can kill Cerberus and Reapers I don't know with geth, later i will try.

I am a shotgun/assault rifle person.

But from my experience(for infiltrator), Javelin I is just a better widow X. However, the shield gate means that multishots are better than singleshots(apart from kishock of course).

Great raw power with Geth characters. I'm not a fan of the BW on anything but my Turian/Krogan characters. I use my Valiant with my other snipers.

Just got my Javelin VII today.  I say be happy.  Though my Widow X will always be my main, the Javelin friggin rapes on gold especially with a Geth Infiltrator.   Takes a little practice but in no time you'll be decimating everything.

You have NO clue. The Javelin kicks ass in the hands of an Salarian (or Geth) Infiltrator in GOLD.
Cloak + Energy Drain + Headshot = Oneshoot everything but bosses, even behind cover.
I have Javelin VII and it kicks arse!

If you can manage relaod cancel, timing and cloak CD javellin is as good as BW.
