Maybe we found that the gun switches from the Carnifax to the Predetor.

That shouldn't be widespread?

Copypasta of what I was saying when the original got closed.

The latest anti-IT fuel is

1) "The final message says we defeated the reapers so how can IT be true?"

Yeah, the same message that says DLC?[smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/angry.png[/smilie]

Oh man, that one is back?

Even assuming IT isnt true, that message makes no sense for two reasons:

1) No one knows what went on in that final chamber, only Shepard and Godchild, how would Shepard have become a legend for defeating the Reapers, when she didnt actually do it, as far as anyone knows?

2)In two out of the three endings, you neither defeated the Reapers, nor ended the Reaper threat, as they are still out there, and can come back at any time.

3) It's a fourth-wall breaking message. You should put as much weight behind it as you put behind the fact that Shepard has to press A (or whatever button you push on PS3 and PC) to open doors and talk to people. I dont automatically assume that Shep is carrying around a controller/keyboard that she has to use whenever she wants to talk to people or open doors.

Well, Priestly said we could re-open the thread. So here it is.

I'm not sure he realized by closing the first one he'd just invite tons of trolls into the second to mock us, but I bet you it'll happen.

I'm seriously questioning his judgement on that, How was that off topic and the "so we can't get the ending we want" isn't? WTF?

Oh well, time to rebuild?

No I think it was the guy who was repeatedly talking about his p...s that got it closed.

Cant see how a legimate analysis of the end scene could have done it.

Which on topic that is an interesting catch...why would it change in those last few frames? Laziness? Would ity then not just be easier to keep the gun as it was?

Because of your chit-chat with Mr. IT.

I just realized something very small, but interesting.
This one really does fit the bill of "grasping at straws", but it's interesting nonetheless.

When Anderson says "He's controlling you!", he actually looks at Shepard. Shepard is not shown on-screen, but he is standing behind TIM during this scene, at a closer-to-the-camera angle, which is where Anderson is looking.
37:10
Watch Anderson's eyes. He doesn't look at TIM. He looks at Shepard. If he was looking at TIM, his eyes would be slightly off to the right. But he's looking right over TIM's shoulder.
His eyes connect DIRECTLY with where Shepard is standing.

Well, I was needing to restructure my OP anyhow, and was getting too lazy to ever get around to it.

Now I have incentive to do so. Anyone wanna come up with stuff I should include in my new OP?

Man, what exactly happened there? What was the problem???

I was in the middle of posting, and then suddenly it wouldn't let me post it...

We'd better stay on-topic, I guess (even it didn't seem like we were that far off topic).

Ok, enough about the previous thread.

What about the gun change in destroy? Are there any other cinematics that use the predator rather than the Carnifax?

It switches right after the explosion happens. It's a serious find, as unlike many things here, that cannot be accidental, reused art, etc. That's a deliberate switch that cannot happen otherwise. EDIT: I mean, no teleportation, no other gun, and no other reason for this to happen.

They intentionally switched the gun. Can we call this confirmed? Or is that too much of a stretch?

Why he closed the first thread?

It went wildy off-topic and was continuing to get further and further up the unruly-o-meter.

Back on-topic.

Summary of IT without pointing out the specifics:
  • The kid (starting at no later than the vent conversation) isn't real. The kid might be real before the vent though there is some doubt that anything after the kid playing in the opening scene is real involving the kid.
  • Anything involving the kid after that is indoc surfacing.
  • When Shep gets hit by Harby's laser, the fight against indoc begins in his mind. He has not gotten back up.
  • TIM is the indoc and Anderson is Shepard.
  • If that fails, the indoc tries to trick Shepard and sway him from the destroy option.
  • If he chooses destroy (with enough EMS), he wakes up back in London.
What happens next? Dunno

A lot of this is based on strange coincidences in-game that seem to have a cohesive intent behind them. Add to it that someone admitted that they were considering an indoctrination fight at one stage, some believe that this is where they were intending to go with it.

Right...Well. I'm going to go ahead and re-post what I just wrote five seconds ago. You guys are focusing on the last topic instead of evidence. xD
