It is Javik.

Like the final speech in London, they have placement for every possible party member. They won't all be there, obviously (you're not going to have both Kaidan and Ashley, for instance), but that's where those who are alive in your game will be positioned in that scene.

Exactly my thoughts.

Wow. I see many have forgotten what Indoctrination is...

"...over time, days, maybe a week it weakens your will. You become easier to manipulate and control..." - Rana Thanoptis; Jan 2183. Virmire.

This whole sequence of events unfolding in this thread reminds me of the space elevator ride to the decision chamber. The number of people losing hope and faith; not standing strong in their own beliefs is saddening.

I'm standing strong. Regardless of what aspects of IT uncovered are real or imagined by the community, I'm a firm believer in the fact that Shepard is being tested by Indoctrination throughout the game.

I'll continue to speculate just for fun...

Now, why does the comment from BW use the word BEACON in the comment about where the DLC starts. Is the conduit a beacon? Was it a typo. Or does crap hit the fan just after 'the beacon' on Thessia? You know, where Shepard almost fell through a floor. Made of concrete, with more Prothean tech under the floor than I've ever seen in one place?

Could Vendetta be the source of the 'Illusion'? The 'Test'?

"...additional scenes and epilogue sequences..."

Scenes can easily mean cutscenes, but sequences? Sequences has to be gameplay.

It is quite possible and even likely that all of this 'pre-beam' content will be scenarios/events that further suggest the IT. Bioware doesn't want to just say, "HEY YOU'RE INDOCTRINATED, HURP DERP!", that would not be 'artistic'. What they CAN do is make things a little clearer, a little more defined, and clue us more on what is ACTUALLY happening.

ACTUALLY, if it had been done in April, telling non-destroyers that they were indoctrinated would have been very artistic and interesting. Let them stew for a month, drop DLC where they wake up indoctrinated, either let it play out or game over. Would have been SUPER interesting. In late June, it would be horribly annoying at best to do that to people.

Lol yea it's big. Mass Effect 3 alone is about 10gb if i remember correctly. The extended cut will be about 1/6 of the game!

^^ Take this into perspective, people! Posted Image

I got some more math for you guys.  I checked a 90 meg .bik FMV.  It was 56 seconds.  That's about 1.6 megs a second.  10 minutes of SOLID, WALL TO WALL full motion video would only bring us to 960 megs.  Less than half the size of EC.

Dear Mass Effect Community,
1.9 gigs of EC being 10 minutes of content?  I call bull****.
Sincerely,
Basic Math

Also, why would they want you to start playing again before the Cerberus base if it's only 10 minutes? Is it just 10 one minute segments split up through the last few hours of the game? I don't think so...

Exactly. People need to chill the **** out.

Also, does anyone know what time tuesday the downloads would go online (GMT) or could someone with a twitter account ask around? I'm due  a bunch of days off work and might take the day off to play EC if it comes out during my work hours

@Big Bad, 10 mins is true.

"@kalepost In a single play through, I'd say it adds ~10+ minutes, but there's quite a few iterations that require separate games to see"

Right. Remember there was no combat for the last 10 minutes of the game anyway (unless you tried to shoot the StarChild, like some of us did). So no new combat doesn't mean there also isn't any new dialog or choices. Dialog is specifically mentioned actually. It's not one giant cutscene.

The EC will not change your beliefs in regards to the IT.

I don't know whether that's good or bad... I'm siding with bad at the moment.

I don't see how they can walk the line. IT and literal ending are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT.

Bad, basically saying you can believe whatever you want, doesn't make it true. But we respect your beliefs...

How can that be good? She directly says that the EC won't touch the IT issue.

Seriously, let it rest.

Alright folks, I'm off to wreak havoc with my vorcha and batarian soldiers! There's no point worrying about the EC because it will all be over soon enough anyway, so do something fun with your weekend!

People still take what she says seriously?

Sigh. She's been demonstrably wrong on a number of occasions. Why are people taking her word as canon?

The only way they could walk the line is if the EC ending is as open to interpretation as the original ending, which sounds to me like it would defeat the object of the EC. So this bothers me.

On the other hand, are Jessica and others tying themselves in verbal knots trying not to give anything away? The last thing BW (or any sensible fan ;)) would want is any spoilers escaping over the weekend.

Wow, look at everybody taking every word coming from anyone at BW as absolute truth. I'm glad I've got this "long term memory" thingie that lets me remember the dozens of things they said about ME3's ending before release that turned out to be completely untrue. You guys should mingle on over to that bowl of valium.
