I'm still holding onto Shepard taking a breath in the end. That just has to mean something!

I have a feeling she's going to be on the clock, so-to-speak, right up until release. I hope they pay her overtime because she's going to get pestered to death.

Yeah, and the mods have been locking things down left and right.  They're on high alert, probably until Tuesday.

And yeah, I think we were intended to unearth the mystery of the breath scene all along, IT or not.

Yeah, I'm following it mostly for entertainment purposes. Not really putting much stock into what she says. Not her fault, I'm sure she's extremely limited in what she can say really. Lol every other tweet inspires hope or dread for IT. I'm just going to have to let the EC speak for itself. It's no use trying to dissect every tweet or hang on every last word. If there's something big or amazing to spoil about the EC, they won't be doing it over twitter... They're just stalling, trying to hold everyone over until Tuesday. It's no wonder they announced the release date less than a week before its release and just before the weekend

Yeah but she basically said IT will not be addressed, but it won't make it clear whether or not Shep was indoctrinated. This means Shep dies and the epilogue is the crew, I guess. Idk. Maybe they'll add a better quest system, at least.

Currently here in the thread I feel the IT debate with Jessica seems to be like a game of Pong, but she is the only one deflecting the ball back. No one is going to have any debate with her? Just straight up accept her word is the word of God?? I feel she is a false prophet...she is just spreading stuff around to stir up debate. This is to excite people for the EC, or at least even out the sides of the IT/anti-IT debate. I feel a lot of her comments will bring a lot of people to the anti IT side and when EC comes out there will be a lot of activity over here. ALL part of the EA master plan...

I am so with you on this. This is just all part of the magician's act and she's the magician's assistant. She's deflecting attention from the magician to keep the illusion going as long as possible.

Ah well, IT was still the most interesting, logical and satisfying interpretation of the endings. It'll still be relevant for me, whatever happens.

Come on guys, we've learned almost nothing more than the release date, and most of you are freaking out like they said, "lulz no IT"

We know there will be some/a lot/a bit (I don't know how much) extra content before the beam, which I honestly can't see as anything other than more hints for IT. All the wierd stuff happens after the beam, so there's no reason at all to add stuff to clarify anything before if the end is literal.

I don't care how many different versions of EC there are, there's no way it'd add up to 1.9G with what BW is telling us is in it.

If EC is going to clarify the endings, because that's the whole damn point of it, then how could IT still be a valid interpretation while also not confirming IT? I'm pretty sure that's impossible. Unless, even in clarifying, they don't want to confirm IT outright, but want to add more hints and such, make it a little more obvious without going
"YOU WERE INDOCTRINATED!" I've always felt that the reason BW has always said they were very surprised by the outcry over the ending was because they thought more people would get it, as in, IT. That fits perfectly here.

As expected, almost everything that's been said about the EC isn't new, and is just as vague as ever, except this nice little line from the FAQ

"Does the Extended Cut change the endings? The Extended Cut is an expansion of the original endings to Mass Effect 3. It does not fundamentally change the endings, but rather it expands on the meaning of the original endings, and reveals greater detail on the impact of player decisions."

Wait for the damn EC before you start making up your minds. So far the evidence we have compiled has been enough for me to believe we still have a chance. The time may come that IT may be disproven by the EC, but it hasn't yet and it may not.

We've come this far and held to our convictions knowing we had a valid interpretation that could easily be answered in the EC. I hate to parrot it again, but hold the damn line. I'd like to know how Mike Gamble's statement, "You'll get answers to everything. That was one of the key things." statement and her statement that EC won't prove or disprove IT can both be true.

True, he's being unpleasantly patronising as opposed ot openly abusive. I had a quick look at his twitter feed and he comes across as arrogant. Jessica isn't the only one he's being rude and uncivil to. I've had to deal with people like that in work situations myself and I can only sympathise with Jessica and the other BW community types. They're in a difficult situation being unable to disclose anything about the EC yet. I don't understand this hate for the sake of hate, whether it's anti-BW, anti-IT, anti-literalist or whatever else.

My thoughts exactly. That guy was suggesting that Mac and Casey admitted that the ending was disconnected from the rest of the plot, or something along those lines.

So, it's been a while I stopped following the goings on when this thread shifted to mark two.

Does someone care to give me a summary of how IT's faring so far? 'Cause Bioware announced on the blog the EC's release date and the screenshots they showed, and the comments made, are frankly rather... disheartening to me for IT's prospects as canon.
