Sorry, not trying to accuse you of beign anything here but, Morrigan is a terribly, annoying emo character.. if you knew her IRL you'd tell her to go F**K herself after 5 minutes..

Also I have a good gothic friend who introduced me to her circle of goths and emos.... and even they are not as half irritating as Morrigan is... she pretty much ruined my interest in Dragon Age.

You know a very well written, bad ass character, that does not need to be an emo and a douchebag to be cool? Zaeed.

Anyhow back on IT guys or the mods will be on your case :)

Kinda my point, since that was usually the reaction I got when I did the same thing. She doesn't trust people, no one, not you not her own mother. Getting her to trust ANYONE is in and of itself near impossible. I was much the same way. Thing is, she thinks she doesn't want or need anyone else, so she chases them away for fear it could hurt, since she never experienced something even approaching kindness or trust, Flemeth is far from a loving mother. She's emotionally bottled up, incapable of caring for others because no one cared for her.

And Zaeed, as cool as he is is a wreck too, he's deathly afraid of what he might actually do when he settles down, to the point that he would rather die than retire, for simple fear of what might happen if he has to come to terms with the things he's done. He's the definition of a knight in sour armor. An idealist white knight turned cynical anti-hero.

Zaeed is a douchebag though.... but a loveable one!!!!!

I couldn't stand Zaeed either  The constant insubordination and lack of respect he showed my Shepard really got on my nerves.

I've found Zaeed to be one of the most polarizing characters on discussions. Personally, I like him. He reminds me of the 'racist grandfather' stereotype.

Love that film.

On-topic: I presume this has been covered before, but I noticed something having just started a new ME3 playthrough.

You know when the reapers first hit Earth? When Shepard's in the Council chamber with Anderson, and the reaper blasts the window and sends the table flying across the room? Well, when Shepard hits the deck, the sound cuts out and goes muffled, and when Shepard struggles to his feet, he's handed a pistol.

Sound familiar? Post-Harby's-beam the sound goes all muffled and a pistol appears in his hand when he struggles to his feet. I looked at the two separately and it's not the same pistol, but I still think it contributes to the whole "end sequence is cobbled together from Shepard's memories" theory.

Hell, you could easily argue that Harbinger's beam itself is a memory of Shepard's (see: Council chamber in Vancouver; Rannoch; Tuchanka - all occasions where a reaper's beam lanced towards Shepard). I personally believe that the indoctrination attempt "proper" started after the beam hit, though, so I'm not so bothered about this point.

I thought the pistol was just narrative convenience the first time, but all this weirdness surrounding it makes it suspicious. I've recently begun to wonder just how you lost all your old guns. Since it's possible to be carrying up to five and they're nowhere to be seen after the beam, it kind of implies reaper death rays disintergrate guns. But not that carnifex that happens to be lying around where Shep falls, even though there aren't any bodies close.

Off-topic: Clint Eastwood would be great for Zaeed if they ever make those films they keep talking about.

So, when I left for work around page 88 we were talking about the strangeness of the crucible entering the Citadel at the top but attaching to the Citadel on the bottom. I read up through page 93 but didn't see any conclusions. Is the consciences that it is not important? Just curious.

We believe it enters through the bottom now after looking at various models.

The Crucible didn't dock from the top. The screenshot that was posted just has an unfortunate shadowing that hides the presidium ring. The Citadel has wedges on both ends to allow it to close up completely. If you look at Citadel model pics, you'll see that the wedges are simply retracted to the exterior side of the wards.

The bottom wedges are also less sharp than the top ones.

So overall the animations are correct, the Crucible docks from the bottom.

Thanks. I always hate it when something as inconsequential as work takes me away from something interesting on the Indoc. Thread.
EDIT: Thanks MaximizedAction.

@ #3 Casey Hudson is on record as having stated that he wants the player to feel what Shepard feels, in all suitations, he also has a degree in Psychology, so he has the know-how, and he was involved with KoTOR, so he's not new to twist endings either.

You've said this before but I'm not sure he does, the final hours app mentions his engineering qualifications but not Psychology. Do you have a link or something to confirm this? I've tried a quick(and I mean a quick) google search but it doesn't come up with anything nor does Wikipedia(but this doesn't mean anything)

FWIW the only links I did find came back to this(or the previous threads, or another thread stating that Mac Walters also has a degree in Pschology(which he may do I don't know)

Simplest way, let's have someone go on twitter and ask "Hey! Casey! Do you have a psychology degree?"

Fair enough, I was just curious where you had heard it from as it was you that mentioned it originally, if it is true then it is significant, if it isn't true then it harms any arguments for IT that you make if you have been found to be claiming something as fact when it is not.

Please don't take this as a personal attack, I just wanted to remove any potential fuel from the anti-IT brigade,

Update: I have asked @Bioware on twiiter still waiting for a response but:
Link for University of Alberta with Casey Hudson talking about engineering

Not entirely true: there is a Destroy explanation where the Catalyst can say "You can wipe out all Synthetic  life if you want, including the Geth, and all the technologies you rely on, even You are partly Synthetic." I've only seen this linked in the old thread a few times to someones capture of their end run, not sure of the requirments maybe minimum EMS Destroy option.

Either way, the red wave is apparently meant to target any type of AI/maybe even VI (synthetic life) and perhaps even advanced technology (even YOU are partly synthetic) or maybe just anything that has both Synthetic and Organic components (the reaper code upgrades to the Geth are indicitive of life).

Well in my case the kid didn't say anything like that, so there is no reason to suppose all tech would be destroyed in my case :police:

paxxton wrote...

It all boils down to a single question: "What is life?"

For
AIs and VIs sure the definition of alive blurs, but I think we are
beyond doubt that the Normandy isn't alive, so does the wepon in your
hand, and most of the non VI/AI related tech.

Update Still awaiting confirmation from @MassEffect twitter feed but:

Mac Walters apparently did major in Psychology as per this tweet dated back 26th January

In case you can't follow the link, when asked: "What was your college degree(s) or first writing job. Trying to figure out how to follow my passion. Most useful skill?"

His response was

Mac Walters wrote...
Oh god... I might be a terrible example. Psychology. And #BioWare was the first to pay me to write. And... Adaptability.

So there we have it, he does have a degree in psychology.

Side note, he may regret that part about being a terrible example in the light of the anger over the conclusion of the trilogy
