Not really.

If you meet certain requirements during one convo with him he'll even say he can sense you're lying when you say your main goal is to destroy the Reapers.

Not really as in you haven't considered it?  His presence alone negates it.

If you want to troll, go elsewhere.

If you want to discuss, back up your claims rather than leaving one ambiguous sentence at a time.

It must be fun being a literalist. They can just drop one sentence and expect to be taken seriously.

Imagine if we just went around saying 'Have you considered godchild disproves literalism?' without even giving any explanation as to why.

Have you considered accepting the IT into your life?

Damn, religion comparisons incoming!

If you're mostly paragon and pick a certain renegade option in one conversation, Shepard will say "The goal of everyone on this ship is to destroy the Reapers, no matter what." and Javik responds with "Lying leaves a physiological mark. I can tell you're lying" or some such.

I remember this conversation, but I don't remember the context. Was it around Rannoch?

Of course, Godchild/Starbinger does disprove literalism.  Its just we tend to give a bit of exposition to go along with it, and reasons why.

Saying Javik disproves IT is like saying Joker and EDI prove synthesis.  Its like...okay?

I think its when you first recruit him actually. Not 100% sure though.

It still strikes me as odd that TIM apparently built Eva's body to be anatomically correct.

He built an anatomically correct robot and named it after his dead friend.

TIM is a creepy little bastard.

Don't  you also question the fact there were a few Reapers nearby after Shep had picked? Yea they arrived later but still, alot would have been heading to the Conduit and would have arrived at the same time as Harbinger. Weird.
Harby:"YO SHEPARD TIME TO PARTY!!"
*Hundereds of Reapers land nearby*
Shepard: "Talk about overkill man!"
Harby" WE'RE REAL DETERMINED TO MAKE SURE YOU DON'T KILL YOUSELF WITH SYNTHETICS MAN!"

So yes Harbinger being the lone defender then flying off makes no sence

Harby: "Allright I'm done! You're turn to guard the thing Josh. I'll chase the Normandy for a while!"

:o
Read that with Charlie Murphy as Harbinger and Shep by Dave Chappelle.

The destroyers swinging their baseball bats in the background...

I'm sorry, but EDI's breasts are not anatomically correct. <_<

Ok, I'll bend. Let's say Protheans can't sense indoctrination (which I believe they can - they'd only have to be confronted with 1 indoctrinated being to sense the changes in their getetic/chemical makeup), the VI on Thessia can, though it didn't sense it in him/her.

So just to be clear. . . do you guys still hold on to indoctrination, even though you know its a debunked theory?

OK, lately I've been considering taking a break from the forum until the EC comes out, you know, so I'll be surprised at whatever happens. I don't know if I should though, because talking to you guys is really fun.  Thoughts?

I understand how you feel, but I have given up on giving up. <3

Edit: I wouldn't trade telling off literalists day in and day out for the wooorld.

Again, if prothean indoctrination detection was perfect (whether when its a real prothean or a VI doing it), they'd never have been infiltrated by indoctrinated agents.

And now its time to stop listening to you. You're either just trolling or horribly misinformed, and I dont feel like dealing with either of those possibilities right now.

Its not a debunked theory.  Get that out of your head.

The only thing they've said is they are neither confirming or denying it, and that its open to interpretation.

Understand that?  That is not debunking.  AT ALL.

I still believe there's enough substantive devices in the narrative to consider it a viable interpretation, yes.

Considering that we found a ton of evidence suggesting that we're right and that just a few days or so ago we found infrasonic noise in the games audio which so happens to be a tool Reapers use for indoctrination as shown here.... Yeah we still believe. Copy the link and have a look.

Yeah, I tried taking a break once.  It lasted less than one day.  Maybe what I should do is just limiting how much I post.

How is IT debunked ?
Because you say so ?
And the Prothean VI's aren't totally fail-proof.
The Protheans were infiltrated by indoctrinated agents so their VI's didn't quite do a very good job, did they ?

I'll be doing that soon, mostly because I have plenty of work to do  and a play-through of the game to finish before Tuesday.

Yes it must be fun. While the trolls can go play with their own mind games in their caves, we with logic discuss things reasonably.

It does frankly annoy me that people make a statement and don't back it up with logic/ reasoning. If you are going to make a point, have some proof!!

Yeah, and that was indoctrinated agents of their own species.  I can't imagine its any more accurate with members of other species, even if it was programmed with psychological information on the next cycle's races - people who didn't yet have developed social skills.

It probably is fun to be a literalist.  They say ignorance is bliss and I've never met people more ignorant in my life.
