I kinda don't want it to come, actually. I'd miss all you guys terribly.
Well, I'll be gone from these forums for a very long time, IT or not, and it'll probably not be IT, so yeah.
I think I'll first return here in 3 months, if I'm willing. I'll just have to see.
*THUMP* That's for doubting. Things will go well, cheer up.
*THUMP* That's for leaving, YOU WILL COME SEE US! I DEMAND IT!
And since all of you guys are good friends, and since I get enough spambots anyway, you can all reach me via IM or MSN at ariandynas at hotmail dot com, which is also my electronic mail adress.
And yes, if you are wondering why I typed that out, just because I get spambots already doesn't mean I want more.
I'll be gone because I'll be in the USA by wednesday. I'll probably have just enough time to finish the EC before going.
No laptops.
I'm visiting my grandparents in Idaho, and they've not got any computers.
Plus, I want to spend the vacation together with my brother and sister, so I wouldn't have a lot of time to be here anyway.

Anyway, it's interesting to point out that Jacob gets shot in the exact same spot during the ex-Cerberus scientist mission except the key difference is that Jacob is hobbling around favouring his wound, even pulling to one side to ease tension... it's interesting that BioWare would put such attention to detail here on such a minor character's animation but yet not on Shepard himself... oh wait, unless the wound was metaphorical that is, in that case it's exactly how it should be.

I know it happened on my last playthrough - any chance you could give us a rundown of what happened in your playthroughs leading up to that?UrgentArchengel wrote...
I recently played through Rannoch, and for some reason, the screen just kept pulsating when I talked to the reaper, it never happened w/ my other playthroughs. It stopped once it died and Tali/Leigon walk in. Strange.

Now that I've checked out what you're getting I'm starting to think you're getting the better bang for your buck.190k is pretty affordable for what it is but lets just say it took some 'persuading' with the wife ... might wait before I mention the running and maintenance costs.TSA_383 wrote...

Oh, and adding me to MSN might be a mistake. I tend to talk, A LOT.
Edit: Sigh. That 'EC known content' thread is full of inaccuracies. Not even sure how people can manage it. Being unclear whether Jennifer Hale is confirmed as part of the returning cast? Ermm... Yeah. Its very well known that she is, so it throws everything else said into doubt.

It's pretty clear that not changing the ending = not changing the ending, IT would require a changed ending which BW said it wouldn't do which pretty much denies IT.I mean yes they've said they won't outright say it's false, but if they don't show Shepard wakeing up from IT in EC then IT is pretty much false.

Ignore my ill tempered compatriot.
He merely does not suffer those he considers to be fools gladly.
This I will explain to you however, and you will listen, or you will be branded a fool in my book as well.
INDOCTRINATION THEORY HINGES ITSELF ON THE ENDING NOT CHANGING, SINCE IT PRESUPPOSES THE INTENTION HAVING ALWAYS BEEN THERE.

Sigh. Again, go read what IT actually says, because you seem very confused.
Not to mention the words 'not disproving IT' means...strangely...they aren't debunking IT. Is that hard to understand?
Its an alternative interpretation. Bioware wanted speculation. The only reason EC exists is because people were angry about the literal ending. Not because people thought It was right, and they wanted to disprove it.

You know I agree with you, Rifneno was beeing unnecesarily rude, but it is really no suprise when we here in this thread have been pestered by Litteralist for 3 months claiming the IT is rubbish without anything to back up their word and citing outdated arguments as proof.
Also you simply continue this thrend in your last sentence where you disaply a lack of understanding for the IT. It wont change the ending, every single one of the scene s we saw will remain, but it will cast new light over waht they meant. All we need is closure afterwards.

it seems people can't find the distinction between:
-changing what was shown by replacing it with another set of events
-have the same events but shown through a different perspective.

The intention dose not mean it was always there though, I get what your saying but it seems like a copout to me. I guess we just have to agree to disagree on this issue.

I reconize there not technically debunking IT, but anything other then comfirming it is pretty much a tacid admission that it's not true. You may feel differently but that's just my personal opinion.

Again, I have to explain this clearly.
Stating that the EC contains IT would be a spoiler. It would anger people on both sides.
Stating that IT is what happens in the story would ruin the immersion and feel very dumbed down. This would anger a lot of people on both sides.
Adding a few extra subtle hints or clarity to what happened wouldn't be changing the ending. It would be improving the build up to the ending.
And opinions can be wrong, just saying.
