Yeah, the screen zooms in and out really quickly and it looks like the Reaper is sending shockwaves through the air. Sort of pulsating in a way. Not exactly like the light pulsating, but similar.

New Info on Cronos Station!

Turbo_J wrote...

I've been meaning to look into something on Cronos station for a while and finally had a bit of time now that my work on 'Choose Wisely' is finished (for now).

So. I went to Cronos and looked for signs of a deja vu or blinking white lights like the flashes in the run to the beam and I found what I was looking for. Neither lights, nor deja vu, but something just as compelling.

When Shepard enters the room and walks towards TIM's chair/console, (s)he stops just short of the QEC. Yes. Short of the QEC. They are about half a tile away; that's two-two and a half feet from the edge of the dais, give or take.

The camera then pans up a bit. Shepard is fixed in place. The scene cuts to a shot of Shepard's face still motionless and (s)he starts to look down. (S)he is suddenly dead center of the QEC dais. The expression is a little odd. Wide eyed.

Just seems odd. Intended. Like the wound check on the Citadel.

Of course, near the end of this scene we find out Shep can break swords with their hands too, so maybe teleporting  two five feet isn't a stretch. I may upload a clip of it for those who can't play the game again yet. Most of us will be seeing that part of the game a lot come Tuesday, so not sure I should bother.

I'm going to go play Multiplayer to try to get my Galactic readiness up to 100%, or as close as I can get it.I heard a rumor that you no longer need to have a high Galactic Readiness for the Best ending but I'm just going to play it safe and assume that it's not true.

I'm joining a MP game atm so I can't thoroughly respond to your post, but in regards to the pulsing lights by the beam, what I found interesting is that same effect is seen in the tunnel with the keepers, and there are no light sources like that anywhere. Feels like a projection

Well that's funny cause the only other time this happens in the game other than these two, is when the Reaper on Rannoch speaks to you. The scene seems to pulsate as the Reaper speaks. Coincidence??

Have a link? I'd like to check that out.

I thought it was a glitch, but obviously it wasn't.

It seems to only happen when the Reaper is speaking. (his voice sounds like a talking tuba, btw).

I wish it was more clear as to whether Tali could hear the conversation or not. She just walks up awkwardly...Shep gives her a glance...and then yeah.

Would it make sense for her to interject? Was Shep talking to himself? If he was, she'd notice I guess, so maybe it was in his head. Or not. Mleh.

I don't think Shep was talking to himself. I was on the datapad app yesterday after finishing Priority: Rannoch in a new playthrough and there was a message from Garrus which said: "Glad you were the one to talk to the Reaper. I would've just shot it some more for spite."

Edit: not sure how exactly to remove the quote pyramid without messing up the post completely... NVM- Got it :D

If you watch cutscenes with FlyCam, it will overwhelm you how much characters teleport, for the sake of camera angles and such. But a weird expression (Shepard never makes those) could mean something. I didn't pick up on it, though.

I just did Cronos last night and further confirmed, as many have, that hallway/ramp up to TIM's room and TIM's room itself look and feel just like the walk up to the Citadel's "control room" during the ending. That has to hint at something, I'm sure.

While the IT is well crafted I just don't think it is true. Partly because I believe it would undermine Shepards role in the games and mostly because I believe what the Catalyst says to be true because there doesn't seem to be much reasoning for the Reapers actions otherwise.

In short, I feel like the endings we have right now are completely fine and clear and to understand them you just need some faith in that the Catalyst is actually an ally despite the cruel nature of the cycles. For the Catalyst's plans to work and for the cycles to actually end an organic ( like Shepard ) would have to find the mettle to end up in that control room and in that not be indoctrinated, ever. Not by the Reapers at least. The dialogue in the game suggests this if you believe it's true. I really find no reason to consider anything the Catalyst says as a lie.

Granted it's all speculation, everything, but does anyone agree?

I don't think you'll find anyone here that agrees with that, although we respect your opinion.
If you're interested, maybe someone here would like to outline what we think about the catalyst and why it's lying.

Please, could someone outline that for me?

I'll take a shot at it:
Well one of the first things that tips us off is the fact that he tells us that the created will ALWAYS rebel against their creators. And synthetics will destroy organic life if the reapers don't continue the cycle. Legion was our first clue that synthetics don't all want to annhilate organics. If you did the geth consensus mission, you realize that the geth, while they rebelled, purposefully stopped short of wiping out the quarians. You may have proceeded to broker peace between the quarians and the geth. EDI is another example in the game that we don't need to be protected from synthetics. We can live in harmony.
Secondly, the "catalyst" uses circular reasoning in his argument. Basically, I created synthetics to wipe you all out so you won't be wiped out by synthetics. "Preserved" in reaper form is not saving us from a threat I've already mentioned is very questionable. They ARE wiping us out. To me it would be like saving an endangered species by killing them all and stuffing them to keep in your collection...
There are other clues that make us think the catalyst is being deceitful. On the destroy side, he throws in "you can destroy all synthetics, if you want" and "even you are partly synthetic". If you want? What? We think he's being a master manipulator of words, essentially implying something without saying it outright in order to sway us away from the destory choice. Also, if you have a high enough EMS Shepard lives. So why was the "catalyst" implying something that ends up being false? We think that the ending is an indoctrinatoin attempt, and the "catalyst" is actually Harbinger, messing with Shepard's head, trying to sway him to align with the reapers and give up the fight to destroy them.

Edit: actually I'll correct myself and say that the geth didn't even "rebel". They acted in self defense AND stopped short of wiping out the quarians.

Okay, that is a bit weird. It would be easy to write it off as a mistake, but I don't know. Seems kind of elementary, especially when Shepard specifically looks at the ground and it is obvious she moved.

To play devil's advocate, I'd just propose that the reason she looked down was because the only way she had seen this room in the past was via hologram from that point, so it was sort of a nostalgic moment or something. That doesn't explain the teleporting.

It'd be interesting if a switch flipped and shep went into virtual reality at that moment and everything else is fake. I'd need more evidence to believe that, though.

You know, I just thought that the expresion was Shepard thinking of how things have sort of come full circle.  The first time he talked to TIM, that QEC was what allowed him to communicate with TIM.  Now, he's standing there, in person.  That's what I thought to begin with, anyway.  It could be something, but it also could just as easily be Shepard reflecting on how things have sort of come full circle.

OK, I just watched the video, and this is what I think.  The look at the QEC is most likely just Shepard reflecting on his/her past.  However, the teleporting is pretty weird.

You shoud be aware that the devs move objects and characters around during cut scenes, I've got images of Shepard and Anderson floating in a sitting position feet in front of the raised platform, it allows for a better angle when viewing over their shoulders at the space in front.

I found some other odd stuff in the last few days but my brain is mush from rushing Sheploo (never played him before) Through ME1,2 and 3 for Hellish's 'Choose Wisely' video.

There is a scene with Liara in ME2 when she comes to the Normandy... if the chat centers on Cerberus and Shep's morals, when Liara says that she is sure he/she will stick to their beliefs, she looks DIRECTLY at the player.

Just like Anderson does when talking to TIM on the Citadel.
