I found some other odd stuff in the last few days but my brain is mush from rushing Sheploo (never played him before) Through ME1,2 and 3 for Hellish's 'Choose Wisely' video.

There is a scene with Liara in ME2 when she comes to the Normandy... if the chat centers on Cerberus and Shep's morals, when Liara says that she is sure he/she will stick to their beliefs, she looks DIRECTLY at the player.

Just like Anderson does when talking to TIM on the Citadel.

Oooo very intersting.

I tweeted Mike Gamble and Jessica Merizan and asked them about Anderson looking at the camera. No response thus far.

You honestly expect them to say anything substanial about it this close to the EC release? I dunno even I would think they wouldnt speak on it.

Can't hurt to ask.

Hmmm...for some reason it has gotten slow and silent here. Where did everyone go? Or do we really have nothing to discuss that proves/disproves the IT??

Has anyone crossed the mind, that the fact Shepards armor is extremely charred at the end, is more a reflection of his Mind/Willpower?

I mean, afterall- in Control, he starts to "melt" immediately, but when he loses grasp- it remains abit. Then he grabs back onto it, and then again- becomes nothing but ... nothing.

Same applied to Synthesis, complete vaporized. No going back there either, just becomes ash.

Whereas in Destroy, he is shown to remain "intact" all-throughout.

And also, when shooting Anderson, being the reflection of what's good in Shepard, he damages himself furthermore, hench the fresh-blood he grasps at his stomach. It's like he's continous hurting himself, and the only two options that allow for complete dimnishment of his will, is the Control/Synthesis. Why is it needed to make him completely dissapear, or become vaporized, why didn't they just make him ... more, like merge with the Citadel in some form. It all feels tackled on as if it's all part of the plan. :bandit:

So, is anyone else planning to get up at a ridiculous hour to play the EC? 'Cause I'm going to get up at 7:00 a.m. to play it. That's two hours after it's released where I am. I figure that's enough time for BW to get it uploaded.

What time does it drop? I thought it was 2pm PST?

Er... Merizan has repeatedly said IT will not be addressed, that it will be 10 mins long, mainly post-beam content, no new combat... all pretty substantial.

In terms of symbolism yes, definitely, the charred armor could reflect Sheps willpower and so can the state of Shepard's body (beaten to hell by a Reaper beam). Keep in mind though the armor persists in the Breath Scene, supposedly outside the illusion.

Don't forget that the charred armor is always the N7 armor regardless of what armor you were wearing before. While that does make it easier to render, it might also be a representation of Shepard's mental state, battered and worn out after resisting indoc for so long. After all the black with red N7 armor is iconic of Shepard, and is probably what he sees as his armor, regardless of what you wear most of the time.

Well earlier the other day or something I submitted the idea that Starbinger is a some sort of protector of the Crucible to make sure it is being used by someone who truly opposes the Reapers. I don't necessarily believe this, but it was interesting to think about.

The reason I'm bringing it up is because I noticed when CleverNoob was showing Jessica Merizan's tweets, she always referred to the kid as the "Guardian." Did anyone else notice that or have any speculations based on that? It doesn't have to be about my first paragraph. :P

I think the only place that refers to him as the "guardian" is the game files. Not sure about the strategy guide?

So anyway maybe he was meant to be the "guardian of the cycle"?

The original script referred to him as "Guardian" or "The Guardian".

Not sure. Interesting he isn't called "the Catalyst," though. Maybe not...but maybe.

I think it's interesting. ^_^
Kinda makes it seem like he's not really the catalyst. But we can only speculate...

I'm pretty sure this has been talked about and I know the EC is almost here but I figured I'd say this, didn't Shepard armor in the breath scene seem to be more intact than it was after you get hit by the beam? I could see N7 on the armor in the breath scene but I don't remember seeing N7 on the armor after the beam. Maybe I missed it but just thought I'd ask :)

Hmm It might have been the dog tags now that I think about. I have to see it again but it probably was the dog tags.

Oh wow... I just read the news about the EC being released tomorrow and I feel like ****. No wonder everyone is so quiet here.

So, what should we think now? It totally feels that IT was a well thought possibility but they really dropped it. The patterns are there, buried in the data, but at some point they just gave up?

After all of this, they truly were lazy... dude, I'm soo sad about this. I should wait until tomorrow and all, but still...

uh... they never said they dropped it. In fact, one quote was "If you believe in IT, the EC won't change that".

why do vanguards always die? I've lost more games rescuing vanguards than by the entire team screwing up on chance.

First off: Dont rescue vanguards. Either they knew the risks going in, or they are crappy players. Either way, they dont need rescuing.

Second off: You must be playing with crappy vanguards. If I die even a single time on my vanguard throughout an entire silver match, I feel like I have let my team down. If you know how to play a vanguard, you should be the one with the least deaths on your team.

I know this was a couple of pages back but I also find that all(most) the vanguards I run into are terrible and die a lot. I revive them if it's no trouble because you can always use more conon fodder on your team Posted Image That said, I won't go out of my way to do it. Creator-Byne is right also. It's not that vanguards suck, it's that people suck with them.

By the way, did you guys know there is an expansion for the MMORPG Eve Online (which is science fiction with ships and space stations and all) called Crucible?

Not kidding...

The armor is almost exactly how it is after the beam, the only N7 you can see is on the dog tags (just checked my own recording several times). The only noticable difference: there's more blood on the armor/exposed areas that we can see in the breath scene than there are pre-breath scene.

Fun fact, there's 4 drops of blood on the N7 tag.

There's also a Linkin Park song called The Catalyst. I swear IT shows up everywhere now!
Pretty good song though.

I think the tags are there just to make sure you know it's Shepard. I mean, why would they fall out of your armour? And Shepard doesn't even seem to wear her tags. Just keeps them in her cabin.
