So did you guys cry anywhere during the game?

I cried at the beginning at the death of the kid (I know, I know.  Heck, I STILL cry at that, though it's probably just the music.  Leaving Earth is such a great piece.), I might have cried when Ashley got beaten up by Eva, I cried when I thought Grunt might have died, I cried when Mordin died, I cried when Thane died, I cried when Legion died, I cried when Thessia fell (Didn't stop me from kind of chuckling at Joker's joke.  I know, I'm a horrible person.), I cried during some of the good byes, and I cried when "Anderson" died.  And I STILL cry pretty much every time I see those scenes.  I know, I'm a very emotional person.

Yeah, that picture is great.  The Krogan are truly awesome.

I do hate to admit it, but Yvonne's voice acting in ME3 wasn't as good as it was in ME2.  It wasn't really BAD necessarily, I don't think anyone's voice acting in ME3 was truly BAD (Yes, Diana Allers included, deal with it.), but it wasn't as good as it was in ME2.

I honestly think it has more to do with the script than the performance.  Miranda, as much as I like her, was under-written this time around.

I was fully ready to restart the mission and kill off the rachni to save Grunt when I thought he was going to die. He's basically Shepard's child, and I'd be a poor parent if I let my little tank baby die.

That part of the game still holds the 'most badass moment ever' in my books.  Especially when all he says when he staggers back to the shuttle is "Does anyone have something to eat?"

Everytime I see that scene, I kind of wish my Shepard could have given Grunt her shotgun before she ran off. Yknow, to help him fight the Ravagers.

Posted Image

A pimped out gold-plated shotgun for the one of the most awesome krogan ever.

This is all ignoring the fact that, no matter how many Ravagers there were, I could have easily taken them all out with charge/nova spam, but that is beside the point.

Speaking of cutscenes where my abilities as a vanguard would have been useful: after Kai Leng stabs Thane, and escapes standing on the roof of his car? Just charge him and knock him the hell off, Shepard!

Come tomorrow morning, I guess I'll find out if holding out for indoc theory was worth the speculation or not.

For me, whether IT is true or not, the speculation will always  have been worth it.

I agree, and the fact that it is still going on after nearly 4 months is a true credit to it's success as a theory.
The IT didn't just help me to get over the endings, it helped me make a few new friends as well.

haha, that was really corny, so I'm going back to playing ME3 now.

:D Indeed I think many of us consider each other friends. Of course, to outsiders, we all look like a bunch of that mad scientist from eden prime in ME1....

Yeah, at this point, I'd say we've reached the Shepard's team level of loyalty to each other.  We might not know each other's complete life's story or anything, but we're a team.

I would say credit is due to BioWare for making a game that led to something like IT and it's great community!

And big *brohug* for the IT sqad. :D

my "beef" with diana allers was mostly because she felt like...a throwaway kind of character. when i heard there was going to be a reporter on the normandy i thought of the potential that could bring to the story, showing wrex and victus shake hands while being broadcasted to the galaxy, an interview with an upgraded geth prime and a quarian admiral so much could have been done with those scenarios.

Eh, it'd be a lot easier to create thinner trees than ones with dense, fibrous branches.

That was intended, to one end or another.

Yep, it was still worth it even if we're proven wrong to have been able to converse with you guys. But regardless of the outcome of the EC, what do you think is next in line for this little fellowship?

Hey, like I said I "might" have cried with Ashley.  I honestly don't remember.  And as for the kid, what can I say, it was a bit of an emotional hit until you realize that he's really the Reaper Doomsday Device.  And a lot of it could have something to do with the music.  Like I said, Leaving Earth is a powerful piece, not just for its composition or it's performance, but for what it represents. :P

Let me answer my own question - I cried in several parts. I don't remember exactly all of them - but one was Liara's Gift (if she's your paragon LI throughout the entire series).
That was so.....beautiful :crying:

Jack is awesome. I dont get why so many people dislike her.

*shrug*
Well, it's a matter of opinion. I  simply just do not like people with that type of personality. You obviously don't have a problem with it, which isn't a problem because it's your opinion/viewpoint. Not necessarily a bad thing.

Jack was somewhat more tolerable in ME3 because you could see she got over some of her issues and actually cares about other people.

I wanted to throw her out of the airlock in ME2, but Javik wasn't around yet to give me that idea,

Miranda's voice was Miranda's as usual. I didn't notice significantly dramatic changes (though I suppose that Yvonne got older in 2 years as did her voice). What really disappointed me was that she had only a modest cameo (even though it was more than most other ME2 crewmates). And her face looked as if she'd just got out of a mental hospital. Yeah, the music was strong with this game. I honestly can't listen to Leaving Earth anymore without tearing up; not because of the boy but the amazing cinematics while leaving earth.

And that time capsule scene...wow. Very awe inspiring scene. "I was lost without you" makes the scene even more powerful. Oh, and it made me tear up, too.

My canon Shepard is a Liara romancer, but I actually think the non-romance version of the gift works much better on an emotional level.

I still wonder if a portion of Liara's gift was like a mental booster shot that helped Shepard in the end.

Oh god, now I'm listening to the dream whispers too. That's really heavy stuff.
So I take it I'm not the only one developing unhealthy emotions for game characters? Unhealthy in the sense that they sometimes feel stronger than real-life friendship.
