So did you guys cry anywhere during the game?

Let me answer my own question - I cried in several parts. I don't remember exactly all of them - but one was Liara's Gift (if she's your paragon LI throughout the entire series).
That was so.....beautiful :crying:

I don't "like" Liara that much, but the time capsule scene in Shepard's cabin is probably the coolest thing she's ever done in ME (IMO).

dreamgazer wrote...

I still wonder if a portion of Liara's gift was like a mental booster shot that helped Shepard in the end.

Still weighing my opinion on that one. When the EC hits, do I want to accept the gift and risk a scene with a blue baby at the end, or reject the gift and risk something bad happening...

Oh yeah, I might have cried at that, too.

I didnt cry at that mostly because I was seriously confused.

"I can show you some of my own memories. Here, like the time I was in space or something? That was neat."

I still dont understand what the hell that was all about.

Yeah, that was weird. But it had Vigil. Vigil makes everything emotional.

Yeah, the music was strong with this game. I honestly can't listen to Leaving Earth anymore without tearing up; not because of the boy but the amazing cinematics while leaving earth.

I guess I must be the only one who doesnt like the scene where you leave Earth at all.

"Lets stare out of the ships hangar bay for a few minutes like god damned idiots! Its not like there are Reapers anywhere nearby! Lets just leave the hangar bay wide open! Oh no! The kid I barely knew died! I can tell this is emotional because of the music and because Shepard looks so shocked! Now lets just fly away, like we should have done all along!"

Seriously, **** the leaving Earth scene. Most overrated scene in the game.

I dont even know where that rant came from.

Oh god, I only teared up once, when you say goodbye to Garrus at the end. And I'm a girl.  :P

Ok, yeah... I'll admit I got a bit choked up at that point too. Garrus was my best ME friend ever. Never liked a VG character so much that I'd want them as a friend like that.

Garrus was my Femshep's LI on my first ME3 run, so yeah there too.. manly tears B)

So was I the only one that cried over Charr's poetry to Ereba? Because that was a kick in the gut. Get them together in ME2, see them on Tuchanka later, and then you find out in ME3 that Charr's dropped his old job likely to fight for the future of his wife and his daughter on the way.

Please throw me off a cliff now.

Doesn't matter much if the hangar bay is open or not, if the Reapers would have decided to shoot the Normandy down it would have fallen pretty quickly.

But with the hangar bay open, they could have been shot by cannibals or something. At least close it.

Yea it was really sad. I didn't even notice it till recently.

It's small side-plots like Charr's poetry and Joker's sister that make Mass Effect so amazing.

The PTSD asari conversation in the hospital is still one of my favorite narrative parts of the game.

Anyone know why in the second dream all the oily shadows converge on the child, completely surrounding him? Any particular theories?

I think I got the "cut" version of conversation between Anderson and Female Shepard on the first playthrough. Of course I got all teary-eyed then. I'm not certain since I've never got it again (just the short version), but other users have reported they've also got the cut version.

I still wanna know why the destroyer on Earth didnt even take a shot at the Normandy. If Harby speaks of Shepard, the Reapers all know the Normandy is Shep's ship. You'd think they'd try taking it out.

I remember someone asked one of the devs if the Reapers let the Normandy escape Earth on purpose or not, and they said no.

Well, if the destroyer didnt specifically not shoot the Normandy to allow it to escape, the only real explanation I can think of is that the destroyer never existed in the first place.

No offense, but I personally won't believe anyone got that dialogue in-game unless an actual video gets posted up.

Tonight

Step one: Kid's soccer game
Step two: FTL drive home
Step three: eat
Step four: ME3 multiplayer to get my rating to 70% minimum for best endings.
Step five: Wait for EC

I read that you can get the full conversation if you never romanced anyone throughout the games, don't know if that's true
