This is really strange, to feel like this again...

I've got that whole "Santa Claus is coming" state of excitement going on right now. I wonder if I'll get what I've been wanting!? Or if, after unteen glasses of eggnog, one very loaded giant elf will leave me a bag of dooky. I mean, all those cookies and if he happened to turn lactose intolerant...

Sniping the tube from across the platform so you don't blow up doesn't work :(

I tried that when I played it with the music turned off.

Ever done that? It reinforces the "this is all kinds of ****ed up" vibe...

 Is Shepard's voice echoing too? Sounds like it.

Edit: Yeah, that's it, shoot the Starkid! :D

Although it would definitely increase, I don't think it would as much as if would it were proved false, per this poster.

1st one - "Hmmmm... wonder what structure they're talking about that seems to draw everyone towards it?"
2nd one - "Oh, so what you're saying is bringing the entire galactic community into a single location to face reaper forces in a confined area was a bad plan... Ah."

Regarding the first one, my explaination could be that the beam up to the citadel also doubles as an indoctrination device. It is Reaper tech after all. In my WNT: v2 I think I explained this concept well I believe.

Except that Hammer has to fight waves upon waves of soldiers plus a destroyer just to get there. I don't think this is what they're referring to.

And then, it was over.

With the indoctrination theory confirmed and the long flamewar finally ended, the once arrogant anti-ITers and pro-enders quickly disbanded and fled to all four corners of the BSN. The heroes who stood with the indoctrination theory until the very end were crowned as heroes and heroines of the BSN, and the network rejoiced in having new icons to look up to. In the following weeks of the war, they would restore order to the BSN.

The remaining anti-ITers and pro enders would remain a threat to the happiness of the BSN for months to come, but ultimately, they were defeated. In time, they would realize theirown hatred was irrational, and would eventually return to the ranks of the slowly rebuilding BSN.

The network would live on, but only because of the work of a handful of heroes and heroines who refused to abandon their beliefs until the very end.

Looks to me like one is simply saying "Spread out, don't group up." and the other is referencing a Reaper processing station.

Nothing special there...

Don't you love that? You get no responses to a legitimate observation, then some guy posts a thread with "Wrex: Shepard" "Shepard: Wrex" and gets to 25 pages, complete with ME porn through the latter half.

And to be honest - I'd love to see whether they buit EC so that any kind of headcanon (including IT) survives it. And I'm also curious how long will it take fans to create IT v2.0 or hide back into existing headcanons...in case clarified stuff will be too hard to stomach..

IT is really dependant on the 'breath' scene- if the EC shows Shepard waking up after choosing destroy and all his mates and there and they are like: "Heeey! We went to this garden planet, for some reason, but now we're back, and we're all happy friends, forever!" and it confirms that everything that seemed to happen on the Crucible really did happen, then Indoctrination Theory is dead. Maybe there will be a 2.0, but I don't care. IT was an interpretation that FIXED the problems with the endings. If they stick with the endings as they were portrayed, then IT cannot survive it. I don't see how they can do this without a retarded ending, but it's definitely a possibility. And I believe in IT, strongly!

Watching the IT Documentary, Pt. II reignited my hope for IT in tomorrow's EC. I was bummed on Friday, but I have some hope again. Especially seeing how coy Michael Gamble was at that press conference. His little smile and ability to say nothing have to mean something.

Merizan keeps reminding people on Twitter to keep an open mind. I take that to mean don't take everything at face value or assume it's all literal. We'll see tomorrow guys, but I'm ready.

And consider how he speaks during that speech (he repeats the word prescriptive even though he clearly wants to say more).

He definitely went in there with his prepared line of 'prescriptive'.  When he lost his place, he started at the beginning and repeated it again.  So he went in there knowing the carefully planned out line he was going to say so that he wouldn't say anything more.

@MaximizedAction, yeah.  I hate that whole "Hey, we saw an oppurtunity to make the ending even better" BS.  Although, from our perspective, it looks like the EC was a response to backlash.  But maybe .... JUUUUST maybe, it was planned ahead of time and the quote actually means something good.  They saw a way to make IT good, so they'd release the game as is and then the EC later to make it even better.  I hate trusting Casey and Mac though.

Exactly what I got from his speech. An in-advance prepared answer.

Sorry, I missed this. Link?

Come tomorrow morning, I guess I'll find out if holding out for indoc theory was worth the speculation or not.

For me, whether IT is true or not, the speculation will always  have been worth it.

YES. Yes. +1, with all my heart. It doesn't matter what is in the EC- the imagination and intelligence on this thread speaks for itself.

v0rt3x22 wrote...

Interesting tweet from Gamble just now:

"For those who think you have to start over: The Cerberus Base autosave is automatically created after you finish ME3! Just load that one"

While this may not be news - it's interesting in relationship to IT - that it creates an autosave at that location AFTER you beat the game.

What's interesting is that they built this into the original game- this, to me, heavily implies that the EC was planned on release- not a response to the Retake movement as is often touted.

paxxton wrote...

Do you feel it in your guts that the EC will prove IT or is your faith starting to shake? Posted Image

I'm ashamed to say it, friends, but my faith is wavering badly. I'm dead scared.
