They are releasing at 2am PST so you still have about 5 hours...I live in the Pacific Northwest so I would know. Anyway, I've gotten tired of trying to educate anti-Iter's. The tread about expanding the Destroy ending either with IT proved or not is chock full of them to my surprise.
Edit: Well on observation of the forum threads page, it looks like there is a wall of locked threads. The Mods are busy today!!!

Does this mean the EC was, atleast in some form, preplanned?
I believe there were tweets sometime back that confirmed DLC was already planned before release.

Not exactly. They're using LegendSave as an entry point for those not wanting to play the game from scratch. You can still play from scratch if you want though.

Remember, the mods recommended PMing them with the link to the post if we encounter trolling.
So
it sucks cuz I'm going to have to clear up room for the EC on my Xbox hard drive. And play some MP. And after I play EC I'm going to have to uninstall it because my bf is still playing his first playthrough of ME3. Hope that doesn't mess things up lol

Also there is a video from Comicon 2011 with ME3 producer Jessie Houston, he talks about how DLC will implement and change the story because "the way we're structuring the story is pretty different."

We never really discovered the purpose of that file, we already have an autosave at that point. If the purpose was to make a save point for future DLCs, why make it invisible, and here comes this DLC and hooks right into that point..

If you replay (as suggested) from before the attack on Cerberus Base, i believe the required EMS is ~3100 to see all the scenes. That should allow you to see everything even without MP (6200 Assets@ 50% readiness rating)
That should answer the question on the thread.
"Shepard Lives" scene requires 5000 EMS (I believe). Does that mean nothing comes after it?

Probably means nothing. I think they lowered it so that people that don't play mp can have a shot to get a good ending.

I believe that it means the breath scene was an extraneous goal that doesnt have an impact on the ending in and of itself.

They are lowering the EMS requirement (so MP isn't necessary or as necessary). The effect takes place upon installing the EC.

Keep in mind that you never needed more than 3100 EMS (I think the minimum was 2800) to get the Synthesis option. I'm sticking by the opinion that the Breath scene was extraneous and not a direct impact on the ending itself (though saving/not saving Anderson probably still plays a big part).
