Haven't felt this tense in a while. I feel like one of the ME2 crew right after the Normandy crashes onto the Collector base.

Nah. Arrival may be canon lore-wise, but it's definitely possible for it not to have happened in any given playthrough.

Are you sure? Then why is Shepard on earth on trial for blowing up a bunch of Batarians?

He's not. If you havent played Arrival, he's on trial for "The **** you done" according to Anderson. <_<

Oh. Well. Then. That's...unfortunate.

Isn't exposure to Object Rho a staple of IT?

I didn't buy Arrival, and yet that batarian terrorist on the Citadel accused ME of blowing up his relay and killing everybody and stuff, and Shepard answers something like "I did what I had to do, if you want to blame someone, blame the reapers"

So yeah, I'd say it still happens

Ok.... so I'm back on BSN again after taking a break from all this....Truth is I don't know what to expect anymore. This game, which was one of my all time favorites. has turned me into a manic depressive the last few months!

Now with the EC coming out in a matter of hours, I don't know what to believe....The few images and tweets kinda squashed my hopes... Although I like the IT, I wouldn't mind if that was what's behind all this, as long as it was something intelligent, original and well explained.

So do you guys think the EC will be a revelation or a big let down-again?

You've gone bipolar? Hmm, most simply go into a mild depression, at worst.

Anyway, what images have been shown would apply to the theory with the following consideration: we hypothesize they're hiding the truth. Why would they ruin their surprise in the 59th minute of the 11th hour by showing us something out of place?

As the saying goes, hope for the best; prepare for the worst.

They released images?

Nothing major. A few are right there, when you click on the "Extended Cut" background on the homepage. There are the plot diagrams and Joker, along with the rest of the armada, getting the order to pull back.

Unfortunately no. Some random guys do it instead. Assume Shep is on trial for his time with Cerberus.

Rho is a staple precursor of indoctrination. However, if you never played Arrival, an Alliance Marine squad does the job for you, but has to sacrifice themselves to succeed, reducing your Assets score.

Indoctrination would then likely come from some other source, perhaps the Derilect Reaper or Human Reaper.

I know the feeling. I literally cannot sleep. At all.

...actually to be honest, I'm quite hungry. Think I might go get some food/snacks and settle in for the long haul.

If I've learned anything, it's that "throwing an all-nighter" is never as satisfying as simply learning to get some sleep, and absorb what is to come, rested and attentive.

If I could settle down and sleep, I would. But I'm usually up at this hour anyway, so that's probably not gonna happen.

www.youtube.com/watch I'd say that this is a pretty good score for a galaxy "Waking up to no Reapers".

Guys... you remember the end? Yeah... dumb question. But I mean, specifically the END. The scene showing your squadmates getting out of the Normandy right at the end of all the 'wtf just happened' crap? You know, in relation to IT, the end of the dream?

Well, after my second playthrough of the ending today, it just SMACKED ME OVER THE FACE. We see all this s*** in the end that makes ZERO sense. Everything after our choice. That whole cinematic. The Normandy crashes and our squadmates walk out, and then the scene ends... what do we see next? RIGHT after the end of the crash scene?

SHEPARD WAKING UP.

It seems pretty damn obvious it was a dream. I mean for God's sake, we saw the events take place, the screen went black, and then we see Shepard take a breath... I really don't know how much more obvious you can make it that it was a dream.

Dreams don't usually make a lot of sense. And we usually wake up from them right (watch out for Limbo!)?

The end seems perfectly logical to me.

Just trying to aspire some last minute hope for all of you. Putting things in perspective. We're almost there, brothers!

My 11th hour realization (when I was working on the video) was just how damn surreal the FOB seems. The entire damn thing, from the conversations down to the music, seems to radiate surreality.
