There is no more EC, there is no hope. I tried to see this ending from the IT point of view and I get nothing than a stronger literal ending. I read better options in this thread that ashamed the ones showed by Bioware... I dont know how should I feel right now, IT is the best theory ever made.

Good to see that you have come to your senses. I predict other ITers will/have dropped like flies

Oh **** you.

Guys, I'll be in the group, but avoiding the thread for now.

I don't feel like wading through **** for a bit of discussion with friends.

It's true, looking at the posts, support for IT has diminished

Many said they would be out today even if EC confirmed IT..... which if we use literalist logic.... it has.

Question:

Why would Hackett say: "Holy sh*t HE did it" - and then say "We have reports that SOMEONE made it"

If he says "HE" - then I suppose that's implying that he knows who he is - and if that someone is Shepard - everyone knows Shepard.

Wouldn't he just say "Shepard made it!" ?

Just came in to see if any IT supporter has any actual evidence anymore ( which, arguably IT never had support by facts ) or if you're all still trying to say, "It's still not wrong, maybe!"...

I think they also added ambient background audio in that scene - which first sounded like city noise - but it could very well be citadel noise as well.

No, the noise was always there. The music wasn't though.

My point is that the EC clearly shows that Shepard is/was dead in the Destroy ending. He didnt live. Yet he lived? IT is the only thing that still sufficiently explains the significance/purpose of the breath scene.

Destroy with High EMS went just as I thought. I used my Liara LI to confirm. SHe mind melded with Shepard. It's possible that she can feel that he's alive. She doesn't put his name on the wall if he's alive at the end.

IT support can't drop Bioware needs to know they messed up the ending and it still could be fix (yea Bioware did say they are supporting this game for a long while post launch.)

If IT itself is used to end the threat then yes it can.

And as for inception, if he was dreaming then perhaps he never sees his kids or makes it back, and that the whole point of the movie.

Briefly explain how this could possibly be the case, I'm really struggling

It doesn't matter if when seeing his kids at the end he is still dreaming; the point is he doesn't care any more. Hence why it doesn't matter if it is a dream or not, it is besides the point.

Can really post long paragraghs... just look at my second link in my sig and the 6th questions i kinda answerd it there.

his goal from the beginning was to see his kids! how could he not care?

Clearly his kids are very important to him, I think you are missing the point. He doesn't really care in the end whether it is truly a dream or not, he just wants to finally see his kids

But if its a dream, then hes not really seeing his kids is he? If he finds the totem still spinning,he's not going to be all "oh whatever, i still got to see this shade of my kids... yay!"

Point is, his dreams have become his reality, he doesn't care anymore

You dont know that.... if true then why did he spin the totem in the first place..

Also were iff topic... kinda...  might just was to agree to disagree.

The totem is a more a nod to the audience that we don't know whether it is a dream or not, but that's not the important thing to take from the scene

Shepard could be a she. Hackett is referring to Anderson!

I'm going through the end at the moment - watching it in "literal" terms (ignoring IT) - and the end still does not make sense - where Anderson is talking about following Shepard and describing to him where he is.

In the literal sense - this-just-does-not-add-up!

There were a few more added hints here and there, but who here likes the endings now with more added. My favorite scene is the Normandy picking up my squadies, and saying goodbye to my beautiful Liara. A real tear jerker. Anyway, it's not that I don't believe IT, it's still an interpretation to me, but I am fine as it is. Sucks they went all Prometheus on us, but whatever. Either we somehow get a ME4 post-ME3, or I have to write a fan-fic for my Destroy ending.

So you find it reasonable that Harbinger allowed Shepard and the Normandy to survive the run to the beam even though, given how fast he can shoot, he had about 50 opportunities to vaporize the lot of them?

It was attemtp to shoot the Normady, that has barriers and can take a hit from the beam, and let even one person up the beam or continue crushing the forces at the beam and get the normandy later.

Hackett knows it's Shepard only when he radios to tell Anderson and Shepard responds. To me it makes sense given when everything goes down.

I'd say there's plenty of evidence. Nothing about IT's disproven, Shep still wakes up, and, as a big sugar-frosted topping on the screw you sundae, Starfartknocker speaks in Harbinger's voice. IT is not disproven by EC flushing things out slightly for another few minutes.

nope.avi

Not buying it. Normandy was a floating bullseye for nearly a minute. There is no way Harbinger would have failed to destroy it if it was his intention to do so.

Good to see the influx of trolls and IT haters here bashing away the only thing that kept many fans of the series sane.

Sadly it does look like the end for IT but IMO it will always be a better ending than ME3

Does anyone know what that creepy, awkward noise is Shepard makes when he flies up the beam through the entrance, hits the ground and.. "wakes up"??
