Just saw 2 other endings. Synthesis is great too (possibly the most satisfactory ending because organics and synthetics lose nothing and gain everything). Destroy is really naive if you sit and think about it.

No, paxxton...just no... Synthesis and Control are naive, not Destroy.

Well, just completed control and synthesis, control, well not a lot to say about that, Shepard becoming some kind of deity, uh huh.

Synthesis, what in the hell!, I just genetically raped the entire galaxy and everyone is celebrating?, I thought I was perverted, Bioware goes way beyond that with this kind of outcome.

I find myself hoping these are not the end's Bioware envisioned but were rushed into delivering, the other noted thing is "trying too hard to please everyone"; all outcomes have a nice ending, where is the consequence for making the wrong choice(reject not withstanding)?

Indeed, Control and Synthesis are even more "thematically revolting" than the original versions. Considering how beautifully written those themes are, I'm more convinced than ever that IT is true. There's no way they would sculpt those themes and subplots only to spit on them at the very end.

Don't you wish you could sit down with the devs and have an open discussion about the endings and the themes they've written into the ME universe?

Has anyone noticed that they didn't fix the mystery of the gun? Still turns into a predator. Strange huh? If IT wasn't true, why not fix this? Unless it wasn't a glitch...

They all struck me as fairy-tale in nature; except Reject.

Of all the things that might support IT, this is one of the silliest.

No, he's not -- "I embody the collective intelligence of all Reapers".

And that makes it better? If a Reaper, Harbinger or otherwise gave you three choices directly and not in the guise of a child, would you trust it?

My "favorite" part of the Synthesis ending is how the husk is all  after being hit with the wave. It's like we're just waiting for it to say "Tea, anyone?"

Lol this was the most disturbing part of synthesis to me. What kind of "new" life is that husk. Omg did it just gain self awareness?

Well yes, the results of picking ANY of the endings (including Reject) are fairy tale, but the act of choosing Destroy is not naive, as paxxton suggests.

In Destroy you basically decide to annihilate yourself to rebuild. Doesn't make sense and is counterproductive. Civilizations are pushed back hundreds of years instead of utilizing/cooperating with the Reapers through peace and mutual enhancement.

So I was looking through the movies in the dlc package and noticed there was a file OptOut_NewFinale.bik. Its almost the same as the movie that plays after the credits, except that it has an asari (liara?, can't be sure there is no sound) in it. Does anyone know when this plays?

The point is, it isn't Harbinger. It's not even the same voice.

In case anyone missed it:

http://pastebin.com/rHzNDedX -- from EC files, contains dialogue from a DLC about Leviathan of Dis. I posted relevant line numbers on page 1224. Spoilers, obviously, but also some... interesting info regarding IT.

What in the heck? It can kick someone out of a persons head. Wait a second is the Leviathan some kind of anti indoctrination device?

Edit: Wait nevermind... I know what Leviathan is now.

So he says...why trust him if he has a evil reaper side to him? "So be it..." the evil side of starchild says. He's just angry cause his plaything won't play by HIS rules anymore. Go cry in a corner Harbinchild.

In a literalist stance, starchild is still harbinger. He just is also every other reaper too...like any reapers have any individuality anyway.

Yes control and synthesis is bad but destroy is not for there was no synthetic war brewing in the epoilgue and to me the galaxy was truly united instead of living in a hullution that we can live in hamani with the Reapers in Control and synthesis even though in the EC file it states that a rogeu reaper would kill a Reaper in Control so ay guess who can that be Shepard. And in synthesis new evloution begins abd the Reapers start reaping again because no body can control them.

It struck me as one of those "Be careful for what you wish for..." moments. Ya know, the story of how a kid wishes his dead grandma could come back... and she rises from the grave, half-rotten and tormented with pain, half-witted and all.

Good grief!, you just made me think of something shocking, it was still a husk and still alive, some poor sod's are gong to spend the rest of their lives as synthesised husk!

That's the new Reject ending. It appears to be a new species, but oddly... that child has the same voice as the Catalyst. I mean spot-on, no variation.

Honest question, did you understand the point of my Choose Wisely video, or did you just like it for the style?  Because I dont see how you could understand the video and still think picking Destroy is naive or counterproductive. The mere act of picking Control or Synthesis violates all established themes and reason.

Sophistry.

Ok this is still bugging me:
Normandy showing up to pick up the squadmates, and Harbinger ignores it and lets the get away. Yeah, mentioned before. But wouldn't it have made more sense for them to be injured in the vehicle crash and pick them up before the beam run? At least we wouldn't have been thinking Harby was about to kill everyone on the Normandy while trying to enjoy the scene with our LI
And still, your squadmates and the Normandy with your whole team on it abandoning you just after that speech you gave in the FOB about doing this together! Would have made more sense for them to ALL jump out of the Normandy and run down the hill with you, am I right?
