Oh, and the Control ending is shown as having NO downsides beyond Shepard being 'dead'. Seriously?

Oh, and is it just me or does Shepard sound like he's reading TIM's script during his Reaper-God scene? Great principles you had there, champ.

Wow, the EC turned you into a real cynic. I like it! :P

Firstly, a Mako appears out of nowhere to almost hit you and your team. No-one is hit, and yet they are both wounded.

LOL, thinking about it that way seriously made me laugh out loud.

Okay, the Mako actually overtakes so it doesn't quite come out of nowhere.  And the team are hit by a bit of explosion, but nothing major.  Considering they've been by by missiles before...

Erm.  Yeah.  Weak still.

It's kind of weak but it was better than what we had before.

Is it just me or is there a distinct lack of Harbinger lasering during the "rescue sequence"? I hear what sounds like a concussive shot at 1:23, and some Avenger fire (why? there are no Reaper ground forces in the area...), but no lasering...

It seemed like he just stopped, like he was watching Shepard and the Normandy.

Hmm. Jessica Merizan seems to only be responding to positive tweets right now, and seems to also think most people are positive or neutral to the EC.

Well. Okay. I guess I just have high standards?

Only we're now left with 'Harbinger can't hit the Normandy while its sitting still, but can hit running infantry dead on every time'.

Seriously, who approved this?  WHO??!

I asked Epyon why Harby didnt shoot the Normandy down, since he believes in the literal endings.

His answer was 'Harbinger had nothing to lose by shooting the Normandy down.'

Right, so why didnt  he?

To be fair, Epyon also said Harby had nothing to gain  by shooting it down, but I ignored him when he said that, because thats just silly. Its a ship with Thanix cannons literally right up in your face. It will hurt if it shoots you, plus thats where Shepard keeps all her things.

Which makes no sense, since there are still people running at the beam.

Ask Hellish just how many times I swore in my PM's to him about how I feel about the EC.

Shame I didn't record myself playing.  I said 'WTF is this?' at least a dozen times.

Its like he saw the Normandy and was like "OMG so shiny!"

And thus the galaxy was saved due to Harbinger's crippling case of ADD.

After reading some of the comments on the previous pages, Just watched the bit right before shepard gets hit by harbinger, the background noise delibrately goes silent and you can definately make out some kind of wording from harbinger. The more i listen the more I hear "Join us".... very creapy

I never swore until I realized Shep wasnt going to wake up. Everything before that was just along the lines of "Ha! Funny! Are they trying to weaken the literal interpretation?"

I hear ya.  I'm kinda embarrassed to admit it, but once I realized which way the EC winds were blowing, I shed a few tears of disappoint.  They were very manly tears, though, so that's okay.  :crying:

Plus by that logic Harbinger has nothing to gain by killing any of the Alliance soldiers charging towards the beam.

By Starbinger's logic, the Reapers should WANT them to get there.

Oh, and...

16/ Starbinger states the Reapers have no interest in war.  Shepard even calls him on this, but then accepts the bull**** responce of 'they are programmed to do it'.  So basically, they DO have an interest in war and have no free will to change their minds?  Great logic there, brat.

Both of my squadmates were covered in blood. Someone take EDI. I want to know if she gets covered in oil or something, or if there is literally any reason for EDI to be taken away on the Normandy.

I took Edi. She gets the burnt look of Eva... and there was no fire IIRC. I think they land in mud... that also may run uphill? lol

On Harbinger not harming the Normandy...I really don't like what I'm about to say, but his is my impression.

Harbinger wants Shepard to succeed. The cycle is draining and tedious or something. He sees Shepard as his salvation (you can hear him say something along the lines of "save us.")

I want to say that is what the literal interpretation is, I hope I'm just coming up with bs, though.

Also, I know this is a bit late, but while I was playing EC I had some speculation that might explain why Anderson tells you about London again on Earth...

Do we know for a fact that the Anderson we talk to on vid-com throughout the game really is Anderson? Because I believe he tells you about his birthplace first during one of those convos. Just a thought, cause it is so painfully out of place.

I was running with the idea that Anderson died on earth at the beginning of the game, just cause some things seemed weird, but then I realized that didn't hold together well...at all. But whenever Anderson shows up it's feels like a dream. He just comes out of nowhere at the perfect moment and makes Shepard feel all safe.

A massive sad essentially describes my overall reaction to the EC.

So guys there is total silence when Shepard is talking to the squadmate who he's sending back to the normandy and with IT it makes perfect sense. Harbinger wouldn't want anyone interfering with Shepard's decision making on the beam. So he turns Shepard's desire to keep his allies safe against him. Also could someone give me a link or at least an exact moment when this harbinger join us line comes out?

How many hints are there that Indoctrination can still be the case? I've noticed:

- The noise when Shepard opens his/her eyes on the Citadel.
- Starbinger's deep voice immediately after refusing.
- The breath scene is exactly the same, besides the music overlay. Still looks like concrete...

I think, even if the endings were now literal, I would be okay with it to a point.

Hm. Curiosity getting better of me. Wondering if a NG+ after playing through an EC ending will affect the next playthrough's ending in some way. Not likely. But have spare time. Will report back with findings, give me three days.

Actually I think it is TIM that secretly wants Shepard to succeed, if anyone. A few of TIM's actions in ME3 make it seem like he is secretly pulling for Shepard.

Yeah the first time is over vid-com. And that's right, they didn't take out the extraneous "I was born in London"... hmmm
