Folks, think long and hard about this: everybody's eyes were on the extended cut. Controversy, excitement, speculation. Why would they have passed up on that opportunity to reveal a huge plot twist?

Well, here's the thing: the Breath Scene, being shown after everything else- and I'm 99.9% sure of this- is being used as a teaser, not as a chronological reference. To show it earlier simply would not have the dramatic appeal.

I'll add this to that piece of speculation, IT or not: in the destroy ending, the sky starts to open up and reveal some sunlight. In the easter egg or whatever it is, it's still dark.

Im thinking the light rays are in all the endings, which, can be taking narratively or literally: either rays of hope or as the massive winds created by the Crucible clearing the skies.

Also for those asking why Bioware would use resources to reinforce false endings... If Bioware's plan is to come up with the true ending at the end or even in the middle of a long chain of dlc it would make very little sense for them to alienate one side or the other of IT. A lot of IT believers would not buy dlc if they knew the ending should be taken literally. And a hell of a lot of literalists would not buy dlc if they knew the ending was IT. However, if Bioware could get both literalists and IT believers to buy dlc and then come up with a dlc where perhaps indoctrination could just be an option rather than something you're forced into (and I have some ideas on how they could pull that off) everyone would be satisfied and everyone would be buying dlc.

That is actually a very insightful way of looking at it. I may actually sleep better tonight. :D

I've been telling myself the same thing.

Glad to see someone agrees.

So they weren't at all interested in cleaning it all up, if they were indeed glitches/bugs/oversights...

Yes, and they have proven twice that they fix bugs that are legitimate bugs and leave the ones that are intentional. The no-clip keeper is fixed, while the breach and carnitor are still present. Carnitor would have been super easy to fix if it were a glitch.

byne your avatar really bothers me because I picture you as a grown man possibly even old with a very deep voice and then I see liara and it just disturbs me. It would be like if djbare had a liara avatar. I'm sorry but that's been bothering me for a long time and it just boiled over on that last post.

It would actually be kind of amusing if we all acted the part of our avatars. I dont think I would be very well liked, though...

If we're going to roleplay though, I definitely need to change my avatar to this for the lulz:

I already read everyone's posts in their avatar's voice/speaking-style so with a few minor changes to the way everyone types this could be very entertaining.Posted Image

I'll bite, what's mine to you then?

You win. I don't know that character. I read it in Obi Wan Kenobi's voice though, in case you were wondering.Posted Image

He's using a custom Dragon Age avatar. So the only way you'd be able to give it a speaking voice would be to judge it by it's face/expression...

Lets just say that they did pass it up and there is a major plot twist. Why would I do it?

To get people off their guard. Even if it were an attempt to fill in what should have been available when the game first went Gold, the inevitable goal would be to make people drop their guard.

Long story short, the consensus is that it doesnt answer any quesitons. Adds closure and clarity to face value context, adds additional clues and evidence for IT. Both camps have stuff to chew on, basically.

Oo! Just remembered something. While going through London, in the room with the charred corpse on the bed and the blood spatter in what looks like a space hamster cage I could distinctly hear the sound of the building settling. It sounded a lot like the original breath scene, the initial medley of noise.

Kind odd they had music over the breath scene this time instead of the original sound...no?

EDIT: just viewed it, they do have the original sound but it's overloaded by the music, can barely hear it.

Oh that reminds me.  That same room, I looked around in the dark corners for a bit.  And the textures...shift.  As if I'm looking through a distorted pane of glass.

It was kind of freaky.

It would actually be kind of cool if they added a bunch of hidden clues, but right now I dont feel like looking. Maybe once I've had a little time to absorb everything, I'll get back into the full swing of speculating and clue finding again.

They brightened up the blue proto-reaper area quite a bit; just FYI for later. The circuitry stands out even more. I mean, you can't miss it even if you sprinted/rushed the scaffolding as fast as you could. I was to tired to really look into things much. T'was a long day and I should have been sleeping hours ago. I'm so riled up right now!

For some reason I read your posts in the human male voice from WoW.

Here is an example, featuring the epic tale of the Ruler of the Bracelet.

I dunno, but whatever it is, I'm too lazy to remember it and type it out, lol. I'd just as soon call it "that gun thing".

Honestly I havent gotten a full night's sleep since the EC announcement. I was too busy working on Choose Wisely and taking intermittent naps. Then EC came out, and there went that night of sleep. Took a nap afterwards, and here I am. Kinda wondering what my thoughts and feelings will be after a good night's sleep.

Yeah I have no doubt that IT is true. The ec is clearly not the best Bioware could come up with, with supposedly the entire team working tirelessly for 3 months. I wouldn't be surprised if it was just Mike Gamble working on it for like 1 month considering he was constantly on twitter complaining about how late he was at the office.  Have no fear ITers Bioware has a few tricks up their sleeves. For some reason though I keep getting images of the Recruit the warlord mission in me2 but replacing that lady with ea and okeer with bioware. "I'm calling blank slate on this ending project!" "Ea is that weak willed? They'll kill our trilogy with a damned valve."

If you have DA, its just a simple matter of registering it to your account, and you'll automatically get your avatars. If you dont have DA, you can follow these steps:

Confusion, I'm guessing.

I hear you, I really do.

Main question is, why did Bioware seem so excited about this?  Why did they hype it up, say how great it is to play, etc?  Because its really nothing special, even if you ignore the plotholes.

2GB for that?  Pifft.

Almost a quote of what I said when I was done... both to myself and to others. I do think it actually makes IT stronger, based on the breath scene alone.

One thing I noted at the end: Shep not being mentioned by Hackett in his diatribe is attributable to someone imagining those events while acknowledging they are not a part of that future, because... well, they're dead in that 'future'.

origin finally put up the dlc now, I did watch it on youtube, but now I can finally have it for myself.

anyway, I still feel that destroy is the best ending.

And I noticed that they edit the citadel and the mass relays, they don't blow up anymore in the same manner as they used to.
interesting

I've considered this, but playing "moderate" can have the opposite effect by satisfying almost no one. Right now, there seems to be a large push against IT- on these forums, on Youtube comments, on e-news, etc.- which suggests a large amount of alienation anyway.
