I've heard there might be some kind of announcement at comic con. Can't confirm source though.

I'm hoping for ME4 to be Shepards final fight against Harby and His Friends.

Ahahahahahahaha

What the hell was that. /facepalm at the expanded endings

Expanding:

Control: Jesus, could Shepard soudn any more like Harbinger? Music just fit everything to be straight up...evil
Destroy: Oh look we are still in the same boat as before
Synthesis: I felt even more sick than I did prior. Holy hell, how do people accept this? I get that people want peace and harmony, but oh my god... how do you not feel sick at that
Reject: This honestly feels like it was just put in to give people a way to vent at how stupid everything still is. http://t1.gstatic.co...TNlorkbl_qXN2OQ

I have a long rant to put together later, but ugh just ugh with a side of ugh. headcanon it is then. As disgraceful as it is to have to.

Ok, thinking about the new ending scenes more. It feels like BW put all the things the "lovers" of each literal ending choice wanted or headcanoned. Control = rebuild the relays! Synthesis = peace & harmony. Destroy = Defeat the reapers/Shepard's original goal. And to me destroy is not realistic, it's more of a dream. If they were being realistic they should have shown us the geth being deactivated, Joker grieving EDI, the inevitable rise of synthetics.

It's almost like BW just extended their indoctrination dream for them.

Ok, just random my thoughts right now.

I seriously don't understand people. Some of the same people that were furious about the ending and were like "Joker and the crew would never abandon Shepard!" are claiming that they're tearing up now, even though the only thing that's been added is Hackett saying get to the rendezvous point. I mean wasn't that what you could have assumed happened anyway? I'm baffled at all the people that love the ec taken at face value.

Somehow I have a hard time imagining anyone onboard the Normandy abandoning Shep, not just Joker.

The funny thing is, they all had an opportunity to back Shepard up at the very end. But they all flew away, with Joker.

Yeah, Joker's "damn" at the end really wasn't convincing to. At all.

Shepard wasn't the legend, the Normandy was. And he lead it. The legend should have died together, not left Shepard by himself.

I would have preferred an ending where Shepard and his whole crew die together stopping the Reapers, and them being remembered as a whole. Shepard was exceptional, but he was nothing without his team.

I think I agree. They could have all been given meaningful deaths at the end.

Istn't that what we Indoctrination Theorists still hoping for?
Bioware said EC would not confirm or deny IT and it did neither. Some kind of awesome revelation can still come.

It's over now. Move on. Do something productive. Even if you're not happy, tough luck, it's not getting changed.

Now we wait for this horrible thread to fade away. Or we wait for KING to get it locked again, like he did with the Indoctrination Theory Mark I.

Now THAT was a good day.

Hey guys! Been busy today, so I have missed A LOT.

Can someone compile a list of any new evidence discovered from the EC? I've heard a few things, but if one of you could make a summary list, I would be really appreciative. Anything and everything from the EC that could be further 'hints' at the IT.

Thank you!

We have discussed:
-Sounds like Harbinger is saying "serve us" before Shep gets blasted with beam. www.youtube.com/watch
-Male/Female Shep voices sound more obvious in Starbinger's voice
-Mass relay explosion chain is still wrong in the EC
-Normandy picking up squad doesn't make a whole lot of sense, Harbinger is staring at Shep/Normandy during this, is not firing lasers.
-Much speculation on the Refuse choice.

Thank you so much!

1. I literally just found this a few moments ago. I did not recognize it in my playthrough. I admit, its hella cool, but I have no idea what its supposed to mean. Without the IT it makes no sense. (typical revelation with the endings)

2. I DEFINITELY noticed them as I was playing. Very much so. Their voices were all but obvious. Very... very weird.

3. Yep, noticed that too. Could just be a mistake though. Oversight. Or they simply don't care.

4. Thought about this as I was playing. I was like, 'wait, we have time for this long goodbye, and Harby doesn't blast them all right then and there?.... ok...'

5. Yep, after the convo I turned around and shot the starchild just for the hell of it only to then think, "... Oh s***!". That was... unexpected. And the "SO BE IT" was also INSANELY weird and VERY Reaperish.

5 things that may give a little more fuel to the IT, but sadly I'm just not believing it anymore. I mean, as what Bioware intended. I think its pretty obvious the EC is literal, and they love it. So I'll just head canon IT as the finale, and then the amazing fanfic "Here at the End of All Things" will be my epilogue/LI reunion. You can't top that ending. :)

By the way, I highly recommend any MaleShep Liara lovers to check out that fanfic. It is seriously the best fanfic I've ever read. And in my opinion the most beautiful epilogue the trilogy could have.

I'd say it was more a love letter to people who liked Control and Synthesis.

Also like they are trying to win them over and make sure they love Bioware.  And do whatever Bioware wants.

Completely free willed.

My personal biggest new question is:

If you choose reject, the Reapers win conventionally, therefore the Reapers can win conventionally. Why even offer Shepard any options if winning conventionally is still fully possible? Shepard is completely vulnerable and Starchild doesn't need to explain anything to Shepard regardless...

Great point...wish I had an answer for you.

Simpler than it seems, the Crucible forces the Catalyst to discharge the energy of the crucible and end its rampage, it changes the Catalyst, alters its programming to end the cycle and offer a new solution to its problem.  A more interesting question is how someone figured out how to hack the reapers, which is essentially the first part of what the crucible does.

Still, the Crucible only forces this change and actuates it, the choice must come from those using it, apparently, as the Catalyst defaults to its old solution if ignored.

Shepards collection of EMS, his resultant show of resolve, shapes what the Catalyst/GUARDIAN is willing to show as new solutions.

say though that you have very low ems and destroyed the collector base. why would the catalyst give you the option it's obvious that you don't deserve to win.

Why the Catalyst chooses to present to you what it does is perhaps a representation of one of the biggest Paragon/Renegade divides in the series: to wit, a cut throat, win at any cost shepard might be an acceptable replacement to the Catalyst, for this, we lack its perspective.  We can only guess.  I assume that a renegade Shepard who rules with an iron fist via reapers certainly fits the bill of imposing order on chaos.  Where Idealistic Shepard with low EMS would not be be trusted with this task.

Either way, Shepard Lives - Destroy, and Synthesis treat the EMS two different ways, you've either worked out a large number of bugs in the design of the crucible, or you've gained the GUARDIAN's notice, for whatever that's worth.

I think IT is an interesting theory, but I don't believe it was ever intended. That said, there's no reason to stifle discussion about it. Ultimately, the people anxiously awaiting for a future ME title or DLC confirming this theory will most likely be very disappointed.

Like the avatar.

But you seem upset. Care to point out in the thread where the bad IT touched you?

This is the one IT video I can't dispute:

I didn't see this point brought up in any of the others so I had to tip my hat.

I'll apologize as I just finished the endings after replaying the game again and I'm frustrated at how bad everything still is.

The fact that IT isn't debunked or proved really rustles my jimmies. I'd rather IT be dead or true, not this limbo crap.

There is still stuff to discuss for people who still care. Everything is still fishy, but I'm pretty much done with this and Mass Effect. I might pop in every now and then to post thoughts, but I won't be as active as I used to be.

Love how he keeps saying 'fixed', even when its blantantly not.

Never heard of him before ME3, loved his videos on that, but now I'm realizing he might not be the sharpets tool in the shed. He sounded like he was getting paid to say that -.-

I can't believe this. the endings DID NOT CHANGE it's still RGB, your choices still don't matter. you can't win, shepard can't live. it's contrived and forces the player to die no matter what. which is horse**** especially in a game where your choices supposedly mattered.

at this point I don't even give a damn anymore about how they want to end it, just have shepard alive and give him a proper epilogue. instead of *breath* oh I'm not dead I'm still on earth how did this happen i dunno figure it out.

Yep, anyone thinking that the new Synthesis ending provides satisfying closure needs to go back to reading teenage fiction.

I'm REALLY excited for Dawnguard. On the plus side, at least I can kill mother****ers while on my horse now.

My only real complaint regarding Dawnguard is lack of being able to marry a certain NPC. They build up a romance but then do nothing with it.

You mean like the end of ME3?

Or they need to get an appointment with a shrink.  Those are some seriously sociopathic themes being advocated there.

Amen. Essentially my romance was worthless. That was the main thing I wanted from the EC, a reunion with Liara and a final scene with her and Shep relaxing someplace either with or without blue babies. But no, Bioware doesn't give a f***.

Thanks, Bioware.
