If what we’re seeing in the Leviathan DLC leak is true then it is possible that bioware will continually add to the ending through DLC which could lead to the indoc theory being used. They have said from the beginning that they were going to try something new with the story structure this time round. It is unlikely, but possible, and lets be honest here, we have absolutely no idea what Bioware have planned for DLC. We can speculate until we’re blue in the face and our fingers have been whittled down to little more than bloody stumps, and we’ll still be in the dark until Bioware say something official.

But seriusly even if the Normandy could reach the ground so fast the logical reaction would be every single squadmate leaping out to charge alongside Shepard and Shepard simply nodding in agreement as they all charged epicly.

I know Shepard want people to survive, but he led a team on what was litterally a suicide mission part of which involved leaving most of his squad behind to hold of a near never ending wave of Collectors while he and two others fought the Proto Reaper...

In that context ordering them to get out of there makes no sense at all, the situation is not much different and the stakes are simply much, much higher.

Just some random thoughts after reading the last 100 pages... sheesh. Someone posited earlier that Harbinger may have said 'save us', but it wouldn't make sense with the way he acted before in ME2. I'm not saying I believe this, just tossing it out there for discussion/speculation.

What if Harbinger, if he is the first Reaper and was converted against his will, IS trying to be free.. therefore, the Collectors were HIS doing alone, and the human reaper + Shepard goal of ME2 was his attempt to break free?

That's all I've got so far, it's 5am here and I've read lots of wierdness through the last 100 pages or so. The Starbrat is controlling him to a certain extent, but HE wants Shepard so he can free himself.


On the other hand 'Serve us' and then BOOM dream-y-ness in the beam and all makes far more sense with what info we have.

The "why didn't the Normandy just fly them to the beam" argument is the equivalent to, "why didn't the Fellowship just use the eagles".

For LotR the standard answer is: "The Nazgul would've taken them out, mid air".

Apparently, considering Harbinger's idling, that seems to not be a problem for the Normandy. So the question seems legit here.

First of all I'd like to say Shepard surviving that blast is just impossible it was a direct hit. Second I just watched synthesis and I don't know it was painted as a perfect ending but it just disgusted me, especially the part about the Reapers helping them rebuild and sharing knowledge. Maybe if the Reapers would have just left but no they stuck around and gave knowledge. Why the hell didn't they just do that to begin with it makes no damn sense.

The whole hearing harbinger speaking thing is a bit iffy. I think we are hearing what we want to hear. I think it's called 'pareidolia' or something.
I mean, I could hear "Serve us" but I could stretch to hearing, servos, sandwich, sausage etc. It could just be a load roar.

Reaper roars are distinctly different though. While I'm by no means clear on what the noise is, I would like to agree that he says something. Maybe he's speaking the language of the Reapers..

Hm, for me it makes sense, if I believe the Catalyst (even though, sometimes, that is not a requirement for him), then with Synthesis, Synthetics reached empathy and the Organics have nothing to loose anymore, as they are now fully evolved. So, it all makes sense to me (within the framework of the Catalyst's story).

While I'm glad they decided to clarify one of the most annoying holes in the ending, i.e. how the heck did my teammates get to the normandy, It does require quite the leap of logic. For instance:

Shepard: Guys, there's a killing field in front of us, Harbinger is gonna shoot at us, but someone's got to get to that magic teleport laser. We have no choice but to make a no holds barred, all out, mad dash for it.
Soldiers: Yeah! Alright! Let's do this!

<As they race down the hill many soldiers are vaporized, and some just get blown back. It's starting to look hopeless when Shepard's crew members very nearly get a truck dropped on them.>

Shepard: Time out!
Soldiers:What?
Harbinger: What?
Shepard: Time out! Hey Harbinger! Stop shooting for a sec!
Harbinger: .....okay....
Shepard: Hey Joker, I know you are out fighting in space and all but could you traverse the 100,000 miles from there to here through reaper controlled space in like 10 seconds? My teammates almost got hit by a truck.
Joker: Sure thing!

<The Normandy flies over and opens it's doors to pick up the crew members.>

Shepard: Alight, on ya go.
Garrus: Hey shepard, think we got time for one more macho/dramatic goodbye?

<Shepard looks to Harbinger who's patiently waiting.>

Shepard: Sure, don't see why not.
Garrus: cool. Ummm.. I want to go with you.
Shepard: Nope, someone's got to live.
Garrus: Won't be you! Taste the rainbow Shepard!
Shepard: Eat it Garrus!

<The Normandy flies off slowly while the crew waves goodbye to everyone>

Shepard: Alright! Game on!
Soldiers: Game on!
Harbinger: GAAAAAAME OOOOOOON!

<Harbinger shoots Shepard in the face with a giant laser>

Agreed. Would make no sense for them to add this, right before he blasts shepard, and focusing on harbinger visually and audibly, and it not be something.

Well, I certainly didn't notice them on my first pre-EC playthrough. This time, the blood was much more present...so it could be that they refined that graphically...as they did with a few things in the EC.
It's all so...different now.

Yes, I did! Not really sure what to make of it. It was difficult for me to see the Cronos example, on my screen at least.

yeah yeah, i guess harbinger got so confused about organic tactics with evacuating instead of reinforcing that he leveled himself of how brilliant an idea that is. and the catalyst found this so amazing and advanced strategy that he  had to give sheppard the chance to control them, so they can learn form his intelligence.

Is this ME3 the first 3D game, where characters look 'accidently' into the camera? By that, I mean for example, the G-Man in Half Life doesn't count, as he's speaking to the 1st person.

So, I mean, are there any instances in non-1st-person-games?
